Curlew Island (Gulf Islands)

Samuel Island is a small island in the southern Gulf Islands, located in the Strait of Georgia southeast of Mayne Island in British Columbia, Canada.

Mayne Island is a 21-square-kilometre (8.1 sq mi) island in the southern Gulf Islands chain of British Columbia. It is midway between the Lower Mainland of BC and Vancouver Island, and has a population of 995. Mount Parke in the south-central heart of the island is its highest peak at 255 metres (837 feet).

Saturna is an unincorporated locality on Saturna Island, one of the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Canada. Saturna is the location of the island's BC Ferries terminal.

The Belle Chain Islets, originally simply the Belle Chain are a group of small islands off the north end of Saturna Island on the west side of the Strait of Georgia on the South Coast of British Columbia, Canada. The Belle Chain Islets are part of Gulf Islands National Park Reserve and are Authorized Access Only except for Lot 65 (Little Samuel Island) which is available for day use by boaters and kayakers.

Port Browning, British Columbia, Canada is formed between North and South Pender Islands in the British Columbia Gulf Islands. There is a government dock and commercial marina at the head of the inlet. From Port Browning, Pender Canal leads to Bedwell Harbour. Port Browning also leads eastward to Plumper Sound.

Bedwell Harbour is a harbour between South Pender Island and North Pender Island in British Columbia. Bedwell Harbour is close to the Canada–US border in Boundary Pass, and it is an official port of entry for sailors from the United States. Plumper Sound is a sound in the Southern Gulf Islands region of British Columbia, Canada, located between Saturna Island (E) and North and South Pender Islands. It is named for HMS Plumper, the survey ship of the Royal Navy engaged in charting the coastal waters of British Columbia in the colonial period. Plumper Sound should not be confused with Plumper Cove, a small cove that is home to the Plumper Cove Marine Provincial Park on Keats Island, also named after HMS Plumper.

Mayne Island Water Aerodrome, formerly IATA: YAV, TC LID: CAW7, is a defunct aerodrome that was located at Miners Bay adjacent to Mayne Island in British Columbia, Canada. Mayne Island is one of the southern Gulf Islands.

The Saturna Ecological Education Centre (SEEC) is a publicly funded outdoor school located on Saturna Island in British Columbia. It is part of School District #64. It operates three days a week, with students sleeping over on Saturna during the week. The education style at SEEC is very different from that of a conventional school, although it does adhere to the provincially required learning outcomes. Its name is commonly shortened to "SEEC."

Active Pass (Saanich: sqθeq) is a strait separating Galiano Island in the north and Mayne Island in the south in the southern Gulf Islands, British Columbia, Canada. It connects the Trincomali Channel in the west and the Strait of Georgia in the east. The pass stretches 5.5 km from northeast to southwest with two roughly right-angle bends, one at each end. It was named for the USCS Active, a United States Navy survey vessel, the first steamer to navigate the pass in 1855. From 1967 to 2011, the Active Pass light station was part of the British Columbia Shore Station Oceanographic Program, collecting coastal water temperature and salinity measurements for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans everyday for 44 years.Currently, the pass is a major shipping lane and is primarily used by BC Ferries' passenger and vehicle ferry runs between Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal at Tsawwassen, Lower Mainland, the southern Gulf Islands and Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal at Swartz Bay, Vancouver Island. Because the pass has a river's narrowness, the ferries pass extremely close to its shores. It is also used by pleasure craft, fishing boats, freighters and freight ferries, making it very 'active' commercially as well. However, strong eddies and tide rips are always present in the pass, making it a hazardous corridor for smaller vessels to transit. A variety of wildlife may be seen in the pass, including harbour seals, sea lions, bald eagles, and orcas.

Port Washington Water Aerodrome, formerly TC LID: CAP8, is located adjacent to Port Washington, British Columbia, Canada. Port Washington lies at the north end of North Pender Island in the Gulf Islands of the Gulf of Georgia.

Skull Islet is a small islet just off the shore of South Pender Island in British Columbia. It is on the east side of Bedwell Harbour. Skull Islet is part of Gulf Islands National Park Reserve and is Authorized Access Only.
