Fox Commercial Building

The Fox Tucson Theatre is located in downtown Tucson, Arizona, United States. The theater opened on April 11, 1930 as a performance space in downtown Tucson. It hosts a wide spectrum of events and concerts featuring a variety of performing talent, ranging from ballets, to jazz, contemporary pop, world music and rock acts.

Broadway in Tucson/A Nederlander Presentation is part of the nationally recognized Nederlander Producing Company of America. The Nederlander organization was awarded a contract by the City of Tucson in 2003 to present a series of Broadway musicals and special events downtown at the Tucson Music Hall and Leo Rich Theater, all of which are part of the Tucson Convention Center. Since 2003 Broadway In Tucson has been responsible for bringing over 25 Broadway shows to downtown Tucson. February 18, 2010 marked the press release stating that Broadway in Tucson will be bringing the smash Broadway hit Wicked to Tucson, as a part of its 2010–2011 season. For the first time ever, a Broadway in Tucson show will be held at University of Arizona's Centennial Hall. This presentation of Wicked is co-sponsored by UApresents; subsequently this represents the first partnership between the two organizations.

The Arizona Daily Star Building is a historic two-story building in Tucson, Arizona. It was designed by Alexander P. Petit in the Italianate style, and built in 1883. From 1883 to 1917, it housed the offices of the Arizona Daily Star, whose editor L. C. Hughes, later served as the governor of the Arizona Territory. The building has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since February 22, 2002.

The Pioneer Hotel, designed by Tucson architect Roy Place, was one of Tucson's first high-rise buildings. Opened in 1929, the Spanish Revival hotel became the social center of the downtown business district. The property catered to the social elite. In the mid-20th century Harold and Margaret Steinfeld, owners of a large downtown department store, lived in the penthouse. A disastrous fire severely damaged the building in December 1970, and among the 29 victims were the Steinfelds. The building has been converted from a hotel to an office building. Though it adds a rich layer of history to the business district of downtown Tucson, the Pioneer Hotel has not been listed in the National Register of Historic Places because of "irreversible integrity changes" made in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The "modernization" included stripping the building of its ornate cast-stone entryway and adding vertical glass striping in an attempt to up-date the building to reflect design trends popular in the middle to late 20th century. Other changes included the covering of the building's rooftop terrace arcade, changing the storefront window configuration, and reconfiguration of the lobby. The building is 11 stories tall and, when it opened in 1929, it housed the largest ballroom in the country.

Pima County Courthouse is the former main county courthouse building in downtown Tucson, Arizona. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was designed by Roy Place in 1928 in Mission Revival and Spanish Colonial Revival style architecture.The building previously housed the Pima County Superior Court (1930–1977) and later, the Pima County Consolidated Justice Court (1977–2015), which handled lower-level state criminal matters and small claims cases. As of February 2015, court proceedings for Justice Court were held in a newer building shared with other Pima County departments, which is located at 240 North Stone Avenue. Superior Court proceedings were held in the Pima County Superior Court building, located at 110 West Congress Street. As this building was projected to be vacant by 2017, as the various departments and court functions relocate to newer facilities, Pima County was, in 2015, planning to convert the historic Courthouse to museum space. The county was in discussions with the University of Arizona and the Tucson Museum of Art to house exhibits; there was to be a new café, and a memorial to the victims of the 2011 Tucson shooting that seriously wounded then-U.S. Representative Gabby Giffords. In 2020 the University of Arizona Mineral Museum (UAMM), formerly located on the campus of the University of Arizona in Tucson, was in the process of moving its location to the Pima County Courthouse in downtown Tucson.

The Bank of America Plaza (formally Arizona Bank Plaza) is a high-rise office building which was built in 1977 and is located in downtown Tucson, Arizona. It was designed by Friedman & Jobusch and built by DEFCO Construction Company. It took over the top spot from the Pima County Legal Services Building, which was the tallest building from 1967 to 1977. It was the tallest building in Tucson from the time of its completion in 1977, until 1986, when the UniSource Energy Tower was completed. It is located at 33 North Stone Avenue, at the southwest corner of Stone Avenue and Pennington Street. The Bank of America Plaza is one of three major skyscrapers in the downtown Tucson area that compose the highest part of the city's skyline, the other two being the UniSource Energy Tower and the Pima County Legal Services Building. The government of Pima County purchased the building on May 1, 2007, for $24.1 million. After June 20, 2017, Bank of America vacated the building since its lease with Pima County for the building had expired. The building itself is not vacant, and Bank of America only moved its Tucson regional management to a farther north location. After Bank of America's departure, the county refers to the building by its street address.

The Pima County Legal Services Building is a 20-storey government office building located in downtown Tucson, Arizona. It is the third tallest building in Tucson.

The First Battle of Tucson was a confrontation at Tucson, Arizona on December 6, 1779, as part of the Apache-Mexico Wars. Captain Pedro Allande y Saabedra with a force of only fifteen men defeated an army of around 350 strong.

One South Church (formally United Bank Tower and UniSource Energy Tower) is a 23 story office building located in Tucson, Arizona. At 23 stories high, One South Church is the tallest building in Tucson, and is a prominent fixture in the city's skyline. "The Tower", or the "Copper Building" as it is often referred to by locals, is home to a variety of office tenants, including New York Life, Regus, and some of Arizona's largest law firms. The building has its own parking garage located underneath the building. The building was designed by Fentress Bradbrum Associates of Denver as one of two twin towers in a city center complex. The second tower was never built. Developers of the project were Reliance Development Group of New York and Venture West Group of Tucson. Construction started in 1985 M. M Sundt Construction Company of Tucson was the general contractor. When opened in 1986 the building was known as the United Bank Tower. It was later known as the UniSource Energy Tower In October 2015, One South Church was acquired by local ownership group 1SC Partners, LLC, managed by Zach Fenton of ZFI Holdings, LLC.

Presidio San Agustín del Tucsón was a presidio (colonial Spanish fort) located within Tucson, Arizona, United States. The original fortress was built by Spanish soldiers during the 18th century and was the founding structure of what became the city of Tucson. After the American arrival in 1846, the original walls were dismantled, with the last section torn down in 1918. A reconstruction of the northeast corner of the fort was completed in 2007 following an archaeological excavation that located the fort's northeast tower.

The Second Battle of Tucson or the May Day Attack took place in Tucson, Arizona, and the neighboring pueblo. It occurred during the Mexican Apache Wars on May 1, 1782, between a small garrison of Spanish soldiers and hundreds of Apache warriors.

The Valley National Bank Building is the oldest skyscraper in Tucson, Arizona. It was built in 1929 by Percy A. Eisen (1885–1946) and Albert R. Walker (1881–1958). It has housed administrative offices on the second floor. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since September 12, 2003.
