Benton County is a county within the Northwest Arkansas region with a culture, economy, and history that have transitioned from rural and agricultural to suburban and white collar since the growth of Walmart, which is headquartered in Benton County. Created as Arkansas's 35th county on September 30, 1836, Benton County contains thirteen incorporated municipalities, including Bentonville, the county seat, and Rogers, the most populous city. The county was named after Thomas Hart Benton, a U.S. Senator from Missouri influential in Arkansas statehood. The county is located within the gently rolling terrain of the Springfield Plateau, a subset of the Ozark Mountains. Much of eastern Benton County is located along Beaver Lake, a reservoir of the White River. The county contains three protected areas: Logan Cave National Wildlife Refuge, Pea Ridge National Military Park, and Devil's Eyebrow Natural Area, as well as parts of the Ozark National Forest, Hobbs State Park – Conservation Area, and two state wildlife management areas. Other historical features such as log cabins, one-room school houses, community centers, and museums describe the history and culture of Benton County. Benton County occupies 884.86 square miles (229,180 ha) and contained a population of 284,333 people in 100,749 households as of the 2020 Census, ranking it tenth in size and second in population among the state's 75 counties. The economy is heavily influenced by the presence of Walmart and the hundreds of associated businesses, with agriculture, tourism, and construction also important sectors. Benton County has the highest median household income in the state, slightly above the national median.

Bentonville is the 9th most populous city in Arkansas, United States and the county seat of Benton County. The city is centrally located in the county with Rogers adjacent to the east. The city is the birthplace and world headquarters location of Walmart, the world's largest retailer. It is one of the four main cities in the three-county Northwest Arkansas Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is ranked 105th in terms of population in the United States with 546,725 residents in 2020, according to the United States Census Bureau. The city itself had a population of 54,164 at the 2020 Census, an increase of 53% from the 2010 Census. Bentonville is considered to be one of the fastest growing cities in the state and consistently ranks amongst the safest cities in Arkansas. It is included in the Fayetteville–Springdale–Rogers Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The Rife House was a historic house at 1515 South Eighth Street in Rogers, Arkansas. It was a modest single-story house, built out of concrete blocks cast to resemble rusticated stone. It had a gable-on-hip roof, with a shed-roof extension to the rear, and a full-width porch across the front. The porch was supported by four fluted columns fashioned out of concrete blocks. Built c. 1920, this was a local example of a vernacular house built using a once-popular construction material.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, but has since been destroyed.

Bentonville Municipal Airport (ICAO: KVBT, FAA LID: VBT) is a city-owned, public-use airport located two nautical miles (3.7 km) south of the central business district of Bentonville, a city in Benton County, Arkansas, United States. It is also known as Louise M. Thaden Field or Louise Thaden Field, a name it was given in 1951 to honor Louise McPhetridge Thaden (1905–1979), an aviation pioneer from Bentonville.This airport is included in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2009–2013, which categorizes it as a general aviation facility. Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned VBT by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.

Arkansas Anime Festival (AF2) is an annual three-day anime convention held in June/July at the Four Points by Sheraton Bentonville in Bentonville, Arkansas. It is the largest anime convention in the state of Arkansas and is family friendly.

≠ The Museum of Native American History is a non-profit, handicapped-accessible museum of Native American history, art, and culture located in Bentonville, Arkansas. The museum was founded in 2006 by David Bogle, a local businessman and registered member of the Cherokee Nation.The Museum of Native American History’s mission is to provide a place where visitors can experience the diverse Indigenous cultures of the Americas through pre-historic and historic art. The current vision of the museum is, "To advance understanding of human experience within these cultures and provide a space of explorative imagination for all who visit. The galleries are set chronologically; the art and tools Indigenous peoples leave behind continue to speak their stories and history. To better understand their lifestyle, hardships, successes, and inspiration, MONAH invites visitors to open their minds to discover these diverse cultures’ creations. After the self-guided tour ends and the museum store begins, visitors continue to see how Native Americans express their stories through the modern-day arts."The museum features artifacts from across the Americas covering 24,000 years of history. The museum chooses to focus on the broader history of Native Americans as a whole, rather than any specific tribe, and is laid out in roughly chronological order beginning around 22,000 BC and ending around 1930 AD. The museum offers free admission and was expected to welcome 34,000 guests in 2022, with indications that attendance will continue to climb in the coming years. The museum is routinely listed as the second most popular attraction in Bentonville, following Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.The museum also offers an arrowhead hunt for all ages around the teepee located on the outside grounds of the museum.

The Col. Samuel W. Peel House is a historic house museum, also known as the Peel Mansion Museum, at 400 South Walton Boulevard in Bentonville, Arkansas. It is a two-story stuccoed brick masonry structure, with a three-story hip-roofed tower at the center of its front facade. The house was built c. 1875 by Samuel W. Peel, a prominent local politician and businessman. After serving in the Confederate Army in the American Civil War, Peel studied law and practiced for many years in Bentonville. He served several terms in the United States Congress, and helped establish the First National Bank of Bentonville. Despite later alterations, the house is one of the finest Italianate mansions in the region.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. The house is open for tours year-round, with a limited schedule in January and February.

The Maxwell-Hinman House is a historic house at 902 NW Second Street in Bentonville, Arkansas. It is an elaborate L-shaped Italianate brick house, supposedly built in 1881 by a returning Civil War veteran. It has decorative brickwork brackets, cornice, corner quoining, and window hoods. The only significant woodwork on the exterior are the porch columns which have ornate scrollwork capitals. The high quality work and unusual decorative elements suggest the house was built by workmen from outside the area.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Morris House is a historic house at 407 SW Fourth Street in Bentonville, Arkansas. Built c. 1855, this single-story frame structure is one of the few surviving pre-Civil War structures in Benton County. It has a side gable roof, narrow clapboard siding, a wide frieze board, and capped corner boards giving a hint of Greek Revival styling. Its original owner and exact construction date are not known.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Linebarger House is a historic house at 606 West Central Avenue in Bentonville, Arkansas, U.S.A. This two-story Craftsman-style house was built in 1920 by C. A. Linebarger, one of the principal developers of the Bella Vista resort area north of Bentonville. As one of the first Craftsman houses built, it played a significant role in popularizing the style in the region, with a deep porch whose roof is supported by stone porch piers, wide eaves with decorative supporting brackets, and exposed rafter tails.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
