Bentonville Municipal Airport (ICAO: KVBT, FAA LID: VBT) is a city-owned, public-use airport located two nautical miles (3.7 km) south of the central business district of Bentonville, a city in Benton County, Arkansas, United States. It is also known as Louise M. Thaden Field or Louise Thaden Field, a name it was given in 1951 to honor Louise McPhetridge Thaden (1905–1979), an aviation pioneer from Bentonville.This airport is included in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2009–2013, which categorizes it as a general aviation facility. Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned VBT by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.

The Northwest Arkansas Razorback Regional Greenway (usually shortened to Razorback Regional Greenway or just Greenway in Northwest Arkansas) is a 40 miles (64 km) primarily off-road shared-use trail in Northwest Arkansas. Dedicated on May 2, 2015, the Greenway connects Kessler Mountain Regional Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas to north of Lake Bella Vista in Bella Vista, Arkansas, while also serving schools, businesses and other cultural amenities along the route. In 2023 the Greenway was designated as a National Recreation Trail and was added to the National Trail System.

Bentonville High School (BHS) is a public high school in Bentonville, Arkansas, United States. Founded in 1910, the school provides education for students in grades nine through twelve. It is one of two high schools of the Bentonville School District. Communities zoned to Bentonville High include: much of north-east Bentonville, most of Cave Springs, much of Bella Vista, and small sections of Gravette, Little Flock, Rogers, and Springdale.The school consists of two buildings. A football stadium for the school sits adjacent. An additional campus for the district's professional studies program, Ignite, is located nearby.

The Putnam Cemetery is a historic cemetery on SE Metro Parkway, just south of Walton Boulevard, in Bentonville, Arkansas. Now completely surrounded by commercial development, this small cemetery (less than 0.5 acres (0.20 ha)) is ringed by an iron fence with an arch identifying it, and is located just behind hotels that front on Walton Boulevard. The cemetery was established in 1860, and was the family burial ground of the Putnam family, who were some of Benton County's earliest settlers. It has fourteen marked graves, and an unknown number of unmarked ones.The cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

The Rife House was a historic house at 1515 South Eighth Street in Rogers, Arkansas. It was a modest single-story house, built out of concrete blocks cast to resemble rusticated stone. It had a gable-on-hip roof, with a shed-roof extension to the rear, and a full-width porch across the front. The porch was supported by four fluted columns fashioned out of concrete blocks. Built c. 1920, this was a local example of a vernacular house built using a once-popular construction material.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, but has since been destroyed.

The James House is a historic house on Benton County Route 51 (S. Rainbow Road), between Osage Creek and Sunbridge Lane outside Rogers, Arkansas. Built c. 1903, the house is a high-quality brick version of a locally distinctive architectural style known as a "Prow house". It is an American Foursquare two-story structure with a truncated pyramidal roof, with a gable-roofed section that projects forward, giving the house a T shape with the stem facing forward. The property also includes a combination smokehouse-root cellar, also built of brick, which appears to date to the same period, and is unique within the county.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Bentonville is the 9th most populous city in Arkansas, United States and the county seat of Benton County. The city is centrally located in the county with Rogers adjacent to the east. The city is the birthplace and world headquarters location of Walmart, the world's largest retailer. It is one of the four main cities in the three-county Northwest Arkansas Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is ranked 105th in terms of population in the United States with 546,725 residents in 2020, according to the United States Census Bureau. The city itself had a population of 54,164 at the 2020 Census, an increase of 53% from the 2010 Census. Bentonville is considered to be one of the fastest growing cities in the state and consistently ranks amongst the safest cities in Arkansas. It is included in the Fayetteville–Springdale–Rogers Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Benton County is a county within the Northwest Arkansas region with a culture, economy, and history that have transitioned from rural and agricultural to suburban and white collar since the growth of Walmart, which is headquartered in Benton County. Created as Arkansas's 35th county on September 30, 1836, Benton County contains thirteen incorporated municipalities, including Bentonville, the county seat, and Rogers, the most populous city. The county was named after Thomas Hart Benton, a U.S. Senator from Missouri influential in Arkansas statehood. The county is located within the gently rolling terrain of the Springfield Plateau, a subset of the Ozark Mountains. Much of eastern Benton County is located along Beaver Lake, a reservoir of the White River. The county contains three protected areas: Logan Cave National Wildlife Refuge, Pea Ridge National Military Park, and Devil's Eyebrow Natural Area, as well as parts of the Ozark National Forest, Hobbs State Park – Conservation Area, and two state wildlife management areas. Other historical features such as log cabins, one-room school houses, community centers, and museums describe the history and culture of Benton County. Benton County occupies 884.86 square miles (229,180 ha) and contained a population of 284,333 people in 100,749 households as of the 2020 Census, ranking it tenth in size and second in population among the state's 75 counties. The economy is heavily influenced by the presence of Walmart and the hundreds of associated businesses, with agriculture, tourism, and construction also important sectors. Benton County has the highest median household income in the state, slightly above the national median.

The Bentonville Train Station is a former train station in Bentonville, Arkansas. Built in 1925 on Main Street, the train station served a short connector line that connected Bentonville to the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway (Frisco) to the east in Rogers, and the Kansas City, Pittsburg and Gulf Railroad to the west in Gravette. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1988.

It also owns and operates Sam's Club retail warehouses.As of October 31, 2022, Walmart has 10,586 stores and clubs in 24 countries, operating under 46 different names. The company operates under the name Walmart in the United States and Canada, as Walmart de México y Centroamérica in Mexico and Central America, and as Flipkart Wholesale in India. It has wholly owned operations in Chile and a majority stake in Massmart in South Africa. Since August 2018, Walmart held only a minority stake in Walmart Brasil, which was renamed Grupo Big in August 2019, with 20 percent of the company's shares, and private equity firm Advent International holding 80% ownership of the company. They eventually divested their shareholdings in Grupo Big to French retailer Carrefour, in transaction worth R$7 billion and completed on June 7, 2022.Walmart is the world's largest company by revenue, according to the Fortune Global 500 list in October 2022. Walmart was the largest United States grocery retailer in 2019, and 65 percent of Walmart's US$510.329 billion sales came from U.S. operations.Walmart was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1972. By 1988, it was the most profitable retailer in the U.S., and it had become the largest in terms of revenue by October 1989. The company was originally geographically limited to the South and lower Midwest, but it had stores from coast to coast by the early 1990s. Sam's Club opened in New Jersey in November 1989, and the first California outlet opened in Lancaster, in July 1990. A Walmart in York, Pennsylvania, opened in October 1990, the first main store in the Northeast.Walmart's investments outside the U.S. have seen mixed results. The Morris House is a historic house at 407 SW Fourth Street in Bentonville, Arkansas. Built c. 1855, this single-story frame structure is one of the few surviving pre-Civil War structures in Benton County. It has a side gable roof, narrow clapboard siding, a wide frieze board, and capped corner boards giving a hint of Greek Revival styling. Its original owner and exact construction date are not known.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The James A. Rice House is a historic house at 204 Southeast Third Street in Bentonville, Arkansas. It is a 2+1⁄2-story brick structure, with tall arched windows and a bracketed cornice typical of the Italianate style. It has a two-story porch, asymmetrical massing, and a steeply pitched roof with cut-shingle gable finish typical of the Queen Anne style, which was in fashion when it was built c. 1879. Its builder and first owner was James A. Rice, a local lawyer who served two terms as mayor.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
