Viktoria Square

Victoria (Greek: Βικτώρια, Viktoria) is on Athens Metro Line 1, between Omonia and Attiki. It is named after the British monarch Queen Victoria.The station is underground, beneath Victoria Square, and was recently renovated. It is the first underground station of the northern group of Line 1 stations. The central station, Omonia, is also underground. The architectural style of the station is Art Deco and the walls are covered with light blue tiles in contrast with the tiles of the Omonia station, which are dark yellow. Before and after the renovation, the station's name is shown in big white labels that were made in Germany by Emaillierwerk Gottfried Dichanz. The concept of the station is very similar to the stations in Berlin, the stairs in this concept go directly to the street. Victoria station is at 5 minutes walking distance from the National Archaeological Museum of Athens and from Athens University of Economics and Business.

The Hellenic Motor Museum (Greek: Ελληνικό Μουσείο Αυτοκινήτου) is a car museum in Athens. It is owned by the Theodore Charagionis Foundation and opened in March 2011 (2011-03). The museum is situated in central Athens near the National Archaeological Museum, on the three top floors of the Athenian Capitol shopping mall. The collection of the museum consists of 300 cars of which about 110 are displayed periodically. The museum offers many other facilities such as a Formula 1 simulator, a road safety educational programme and an amphitheatre.

Villa Amalia is the name of the building that hosted the former Second High School of Athens in Greece. It is located on the corner of Acharnon and Heiden streets, near Victoria metro station. It was an anarchist squat before its eviction in 2012. It reopened as a school in 2016.

The Athens Stock Exchange (ASE or ATHEX; Greek: Χρηματιστήριο Αθηνών (Χ.Α.), Chrimatistírio Athinón) is the stock exchange of Greece, based in the capital city of Athens. It was founded in 1876. There are currently five markets operating in ATHEX: regulated securities market, regulated derivatives market, Alternative market, carbon market (for EUAs) and OTC market. In the regulated securities market investors can trade in stocks, bonds, ETFs and other related securities. On the stock exchange 172 stocks are currently traded representing 166 companies. ATHEX has over 30 indices. The six main indices are: Composite Index (GD), FTSE/Athex Large Cap (FTSE, also known as FTSE 25), FTSE/Athex Mid Cap Index (FTSEM), FTSE/Athex Market Index (FTSEA), FTSE/ATHEX Global Traders Index Plus (FTSEGTI) and FTSE/ATHEX Factor-Weighted Index (FTSEMSFW). The Athens Composite index started trading in 1980, its High 6355.04 set on 17 September 1999. The Athens stock exchange was closed on 27 June 2015 because of the Greek government-debt crisis. It reopened on 3 August 2015 and lost more than 16% in the day's trading with certain bank stocks plummeting 30%, the daily change limit.

Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB; Greek: Οικονομικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, Oikonomiko Panepistimio Athinon, abbrev. ΟΠΑ, OPA) was founded in 1920 in Athens, Greece and is the oldest university in Greece in the field of economics. Before 1989, the university was known in Greek as the Supreme School of Economics and Business (Ανωτάτη Σχολή Οικονομικών και Εμπορικών Επιστημών, Anotati Scholi Oikonomikon kai Emborikon Epistimon, abbrev. ΑΣΟΕΕ, ASOEE). Though the university of business's official name has changed, it is still known popularly in Greek by this former acronym.

Agios Panteleimonas or Aghios Panteleimonas (Greek: Άγιος Παντελεήμονας pronounced [ˈa.ʝos pan.de.leˈi.mo.nas]) is a neighbourhood of Athens, located northwest of the centre of Athens between Viktorias Square and Attikis Square. The main street of the district is Acharnon Avenue. The neighbourhood's name is owed in the big church of Agios Panteleimonas (Saint Pantaleon), built in this area during the interwar period.

Rodon (Greek: Ρόδον) was a rock and pop music venue (club) in Athens, Greece, from 1987 to 2005; it was in 24 Marni Street.

Mouseio (Greek: Μουσείο) is an official municipal neighbourhood of Athens, located north of the centre of Athens, which takes its name from the iconic National Archaeological Museum. Its northern bond is Alexandras avenue, Egyptou square and Ioulianou street. Its western bond is 3rd September Street from Iouliaou street till Omonia square. Most of the neighbourhood sits within the Daktylios, the low emission zone of Athens.

The National Archaeological Museum (Greek: Εθνικό Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο) in Athens houses some of the most important artifacts from a variety of archaeological locations around Greece from prehistory to late antiquity. It is considered one of the greatest museums in the world and contains the richest collection of Greek Antiquity artifacts worldwide. It is situated in the Exarcheia area in central Athens between Epirus Street, Bouboulinas Street and Tositsas Street while its entrance is on the Patission Street adjacent to the historical building of the Athens Polytechnic university.

The Artemision Bronze (often called the God from the Sea) is an ancient Greek sculpture that was recovered from the sea off Cape Artemision, in northern Euboea, Greece. According to most scholars, the bronze represents Zeus, the thunder-god and king of gods, though it has also been suggested it might represent Poseidon. The statue is slightly over lifesize at 209 cm, and would have held either a thunderbolt, if Zeus, or a trident if Poseidon. The empty eye-sockets were originally inset, probably with bone, as well as the eyebrows (with silver), the lips, and the nipples (with copper). The sculptor is unknown. The statue is a highlight of the collections in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens.

The Epigraphical Museum (Greek: Επιγραφικόν μουσείον) of Athens, Greece, is unique in Greece and the largest of its kind in the world. Its collection comprises 14,078, mostly Greek, inscriptions, which cover the period from early historical times to the Late Roman period, primarily in Greece. It is situated in the south wing of the National Archaeological Museum of Athens. It comprises an internal and external courtyard (atrium), a lobby, eleven rooms, a large hypostyle Pi-shaped corridor, a gallery, offices, a laboratory for the conservation of inscribed stone monuments and lavatories. Only the courtyards, lobby and four rooms are open to the public, while the rest is reserved for researchers. A full photographic archive of the collection is being assembled for future visitors.

Vathi (Greek: Βάθη) is a neighborhood of Athens. It is located north of Athens' downtown and is part of the 1st suburb of the city. The center of the neighborhood is Vathis Square (Plateía Váthis).
