Church of St Michael, Brimpsfield

Brimpsfield Priory was a Benedictine monastic foundation in Brimpsfield, Gloucestershire, England, a cell or grange of the Abbey of Saint-Wandrille in Normandy. It was almost certainly founded between 1086 and 1100 by a member of the Giffard family, as lords of Brimpsfield, and was endowed with the demesne and advowson of the church.As an alien priory it was confiscated by Henry V under the Act of 1414. Henry VI gave it to Eton College in 1441. Edward IV confirmed the gift in 1467 but in 1474 gave it to the dean and chapter of Windsor.

Bushley Muzzard, Brimpsfield (grid reference SO944133) is a 1.13-hectare (2.8-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Gloucestershire, notified in 1984.The site lies within the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and was formerly called Watercombe Marsh. It is one of a limited number of marshes in the Cotswolds. There is a significant range of species, and a number of plants which are uncommon.The site (name included of Brimpsfield Bog) is listed in the 'Cotswold District' Local Plan 2001-2011 (on line) as a Key Wildlife Site (KWS).

The Air Balloon was a public house and road junction at Birdlip, Gloucestershire, England and closed in 2022 as part of road improvements. It was on the A417 at a significant congestion point.

Miserden Castle was a castle near the village of Miserden in Gloucestershire, England. The castle is a large motte and bailey Norman castle, built before 1146 by Robert Musard, after whose family the local village is named. The castle overlooks the River Frome and included a 60-foot (18 m) wide shell keep, protected by a stone wall and a moat. The castle is positioned on a rocky spur, and the north side of the castle was probably flooded from the river to produce a wet moat, further strengthening the considerable defences. Musard was killed by forces loyal to King Stephen during the years of the Anarchy and the castle seized by Philip of Gloucester, but the castle survived into at least the 13th century. Some earthworks and masonry structures remain.

Miserden is a village and civil parish in Stroud District, Gloucestershire, England, 4 miles north east of Stroud. The parish includes Whiteway Colony and the hamlets of Sudgrove and The Camp. In the 2001 census the parish had a population of 420, increasing to 449 at the 2011 census.The village lies in the Cotswolds at an elevation of over 800 ft, above the valley of the River Frome. Until the Middle Ages, Miserden was known as Greenhampstead, and was mentioned by that name in the Domesday Book. The name Miserden derives from Musardera, "Musard's manor" - Musard was the name of the family which held the manor at the time of the Domesday Book. Robert Musard built Miserden Castle in the 12th century.

Crickley Hill and Barrow Wake (grid reference SO929161 & grid reference SO931154) is a 56.8-hectare (140-acre) biological and geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Gloucestershire, notified in 1974.The site (two parts) lies within the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It was formerly known as Crickley Hill and includes some of a site known as Tuffleys Quarry. Part of the site is owned and managed by Gloucestershire County Council and the National Trust as a Country Park. The Cotswold Way National Trail passes through Crickley Hill and Barrow Wake.Barrow Wake and Tuffley's Quarry are listed in the 'Cotswold District' Local Plan 2001–2011 (on line) as Key Wildlife Sites. Crickley Hill is listed in the 'Cotswold District' Local Plan 2001–2011 (on line) as an SSSI and Regionally Important Geological Site.
