Muntinlupa National High School or simply MNHS is one of the public schools in Muntinlupa, Philippines. Located in NBP Reservation, Brgy. Poblacion, Muntinlupa. The school, established in 1945, is now headed by Dr. Antonio B. Rocha.

The Muntinlupa–Cavite Expressway (MCX), signed as E2 of the Philippine expressway network, is a 4-kilometer-long (2.5 mi) controlled-access toll expressway linking the southern province of Cavite to Muntinlupa in the Philippines. Opened to traffic on July 24, 2015, it is currently the shortest expressway in the Philippines, connecting the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) to the Daang Hari Road and Daang Reyna Road near Las Piñas and Bacoor. After being operated by MCX Tollway Inc., a subsidiary of Ayala Corporation's AC Infrastructure Holdings Corp., it was acquired on August 10, 2023 by Villar Group. The purchase was made by a company that it controls, Prime Asset Ventures Inc.

The Philippine National Police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, National Bureau of Investigation led by Justice secretary Leila de Lima launched a series of raids on the New Bilibid Prison on December 15, 19, and 22, 2014, targeting drug lords allegedly operating inside the prison and to seize contraband reportedly in possession of some of the prison's inmates. Prohibited items such as methamphetamine chloride (Filipino: shabu) and other drug paraphernalia, inflatable sex dolls, a stripper bar and jacuzzi were found in air-conditioned villas (Filipino: kubol) of high-profile inmates. Police also found other contraband in the prison, such as firearms and bladed weapons, mobile phones, flat-screen TVs, laptops, WIFi, luxury Patek Philippe, Cartier, and Rolex watches, a sauna, and over ₱2 million in cash from body searches of several inmates. Officials handling the New Bilibid Prison were relieved on December 19 following an order from Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales for an investigation on officials of the Bureau of Corrections. Bureau of Corrections chief Franklin Bucayu refused calls to resign following the findings of the raid. In an interview at Malacañang Palace on December 24, 2014, Justice Secretary Leila de Lima said that while the discovery of illegal drugs and luxury items in the prison was "a pressing and scandalous issue," there was no need to fire Bucayu while the investigation was ongoing. De Lima defended Bucayu saying "it appears to me that he (Bucayu) was not in cahoots with the inmates. Perhaps he was hoodwinked by his men because he issued guidelines but these were not implemented." The secretary also said that "at the very least, his shortcoming was that he was not hands-on," but noted that Bucayu "now submits reports every day." Meanwhile, Bucayu insisted that he merely inherited the problem in the penal system but eventually resigned on June 1, 2015, citing health concerns and multiple death threats against him.

The New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa, Metro Manila is the main insular prison designed to house the prison population of the Philippines. It is maintained by the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) under the Department of Justice. As of October 2022, the NBP housed 29,204 inmates, exceeding its ideal capacity of 6,345.In 2023, BuCor Chief Gregorio Catapang Jr. has expressed plans to close down the prison by 2028 and convert it into a commercial hub, by which time an estimated 7,500 minimum and medium security inmates will have transferred to regional prisons where their hometown is located and high-risk offenders will have transferred to a supermax prison in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.

Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) is a local university in the Philippines. It is one of the two public tertiary education institution located in the City of Muntinlupa, the other one being Colegio de Muntinlupa.

Poblacion is one of the nine barangays of Muntinlupa, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is also the center of the city, hence the name which translates to center in Spanish. The barangay encompasses the NBP Reservation, which houses the National Bilibid Prison along with several historical sites in the city, including the Memorial Grotto, the Japanese Cemetery, and the Director's Quarter. Within the barangay, there are public primary schools such as Muntinlupa Elementary School and Itaas Elementary School, a public secondary school known as Muntinlupa National High School, and the city's sole public tertiary institution, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa. Additionally, there are private schools in the area, namely Our Lady of The Abandoned Catholic School and Southernside Montessori School. The total land area of the barangay is 6.131 m2 (65.99 sq ft) of which 5.51 m2 (59.3 sq ft) is part of the NBP Reservation. It has a population of 103,104 which makes this the most populated barangay in the City of Muntinlupa. It is located in the southern section of the city close to Metro Manila's border with Laguna. It is bounded on the north by the Muntinlupa barangays of Putatan and Ayala Alabang, on the south by the Muntinlupa barangay of Tunasan, on the west by the Las Piñas barangay of Almanza Dos, and on the east by Laguna de Bay.

The Muntinlupa Sunken Garden, also known as the New Bilibid Prison Sunken Garden and often shortened to simply Sunken Garden, is a large public urban park and a local government-protected zone in Muntinlupa, southern Metro Manila, the Philippines. It is an open grassy space on the southern shore of Jamboree Lake that is lower than the surrounding elevation in the New Bilibid Prison Reservation. The park is under the joint operation and management of the City Government of Muntinlupa and the Bureau of Corrections.

Tunasan is a barangay in Muntinlupa, Philippines. It is the southernmost barangay of Metro Manila located in the southern section of the city bordering the province of Laguna. The total land area of the barangay is 9.596 km2 (3.705 sq mi), the largest in the city. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 61,374.Tunasan is located 27 kilometers (17 mi) south of the City of Manila. It is bounded by Poblacion, Muntinlupa on the north, Laguna de Bay on the east, the San Pedro barangays of San Antonio and Cuyab on the south; the Las Piñas barangay of Almanza Uno on the west; and Dasmariñas barangay of Salapan, province of Cavite, on the southwest.

Ayala Alabang, in terms of land area, is the third largest barangay in Muntinlupa, Metro Manila, Philippines. A large portion of it came from Barangay Alabang. Its land area of 6.949 km2 (2.683 sq mi) includes Alabang Town Center, Ayala Alabang Village, El Molito, Madrigal Business Park, and Alabang Country Club. Barangay Ayala Alabang is located around 13 miles (21 km) south of the capital Manila.

Putatan is a barangay in Muntinlupa, Metro Manila, Philippines. The total land area of the barangay is 6.746 km2. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 99,725. Putatan is located at the south of the City of Manila. It is bounded by barangays Alabang and Bayanan on the north, Laguna de Bay on the east, the Muntinlupa Poblacion on the south; and barangay Ayala Alabang on the west. The barangay is also home to the city hall of Muntinlupa and its several departments.

Daang Hari (literally the "Road [of the] King"), also known as the Las Piñas–Muntinlupa–Laguna–Cavite Link Road (LPMLC Link Road), is a collector road that links southern Metro Manila to the province of Cavite in the Philippines. It begins as a north–south road from Commerce Avenue, just south of the Alabang–Zapote Road running for 5.9 kilometers (3.7 mi) on the boundary of Las Piñas and Muntinlupa. It then runs east–west for about 9.2 kilometers (5.7 mi) from its junction with Daang Reyna, winding through the cities of Bacoor, Imus, Dasmariñas, and General Trias. The road was completed in 2005 by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and is composed of two roads, the Las Piñas–Muntinlupa–San Pedro Road (which include the present Daang Reyna) within Metro Manila, and the original Daang Hari through Bacoor and Imus.

The De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, also referred to by its acronym DLSZ or De La Salle Zobel (Filipino: Paaralang De La Salle Santiago Zobel), is a private Catholic basic education institution for boys and girls run by the Philippine District of the De La Salle Brothers in Muntinlupa, Metro Manila, Philippines. It was opened in 1978 by the De La Salle Brothers because of the increasing number of students in the grade school department of the former De La Salle College (Now, De La Salle University) in Manila.
