Bittern railway station is located on the Stony Point line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the town of Bittern, and it opened on 17 December 1889.Between 1921 and 1953, Bittern was the junction station for a branch line to Red Hill.On 22 June 1981, the passenger service between Frankston and Stony Point was withdrawn and replaced with a bus service, with the line between Long Island Junction and Stony Point also closing on the same day. On 16 September 1984, promotional trips for the reopening of the line began, with the passenger service reinstated on 27 September 1984.Flashing light signals were provided at the nearby Woolleys Road level crossing, located in the Down direction of the station, in 1984, with boom barriers provided later on in 2010.The current passenger shelters were provided in February 1986, replacing the original timber station building.In 1991, a siding at the station was abolished.

Morradoo railway station is located on the Stony Point line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the town of Crib Point, and it opened on 7 November 1960 as Rail Motor Stopping Place Number 15. It was renamed Morradoo in 1996.A platform was provided at the stopping place by November 1963. In 1996, the platform was extended to 52 metres in length, and a new shelter was erected. This made the platform the second shortest with a regular service in Victoria (the shortest being at Leawarra, on the same line). The station was renamed as the result of a local competition in 1996, with the winning entry being Morradoo, suggested by Bree Saunders of Crib Point Primary School. Morradoo comes from an Aboriginal word meaning "powder and shot", and was the original name for Crib Point. HMAS Cerberus is a Royal Australian Navy (RAN) base that serves as the primary training establishment for RAN personnel. The base is located adjacent to Crib Point on the Mornington Peninsula, south of the Melbourne City Centre, Victoria, Australia. The base is also an official bounded locality of the Shire of Mornington Peninsula and is the only naval base to have a specific listing in the Australian census. As at the 2016 census, HMAS Cerberus had a population of 1,040.

It serves the town of Hastings, and it opened on 10 September 1889.The station once had a goods yard opposite the platform, however it is now closed and the tracks have been removed, with a disused crane remaining on site. Sandstone Island is a small island located approximately one kilometre southeast of the Hastings foreshore in Western Port, Victoria, Australia. Sandstone Island has an area of approximately 19 hectares and is adjacent to Jacks Beach. The island is situated in an area where significant mangrove communities exist. The Island is quite devoid of significant vegetation, however its location in an environmentally significant area in Western Port, places particular emphasis on ensuring appropriate use and development on the Island. The island has been owned by a group of private Sydney buyers since November 2021. Like French Island, Sandstone Island is an unincorporated area under the direct administration of the government of Victoria, and both are subject to the French Island and Sandstone Island Planning Scheme.

Hastings is a town in Metropolitan Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia. It is a part of the urban enclave on Western Port comprising Hastings, Bittern, Crib Point, Tyabb, and Somerville. Its local government area is the Shire of Mornington Peninsula. It is served by Hastings railway station on the Stony Point greater-metropolitan line. Hastings is situated on an inlet on Western Port, a major port and important environmental area. Hastings has multiple marinas and is home to many recreational boating activities.

Crib Point is a town in Metropolitan Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia. It is part of the urban enclave on Western Port comprising Bittern, Crib Point, Hastings, Tyabb, and Somerville. Its local government area is the Shire of Mornington Peninsula. Crib Point is served by three railway stations: Morradoo, Crib Point and Stony Point, the latter of which is the terminus of the greater-metropolitan Stony Point line. Crib Point Post Office opened on 18 July 1890.The town has an Australian Rules football team competing in the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League. It is situated near the HMAS Cerberus naval base. It is opposite a park that has a long stretch of mangroves. The Victorian Maritime Centre is temporarily located at Crib Point. It has a future permanent site announced at Hastings. The museum houses many artefacts of both the Royal Australian Navy and the Merchant Navy. The Maritime Centre has the HMAS Otama, a former Oberon-class submarine, moored offshore, but it is not in condition suitable for visitor access.

Westernport Refinery was an oil refinery operated by BP at Crib Point adjacent to Westernport Bay in the Australian state of Victoria. It was constructed from 1963 and started operations in 1966. Its last day of operation was 1 April 1985.Construction of the refinery began in December 1963. It was designed with an initial throughput of 1,500,000 tons of crude oil per annum, and able to be expanded to 2,200,000 tons per annum. It was served by a jetty with two berths for import of crude oil and export of refined products in bulk.

Crib Point railway station is located on the Stony Point line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the town of Crib Point, and it opened on 17 December 1889.A former freight yard was originally located opposite of the station, while a branch line into HMAS Cerberus was located at the Up end of the station, past the level crossing. No. 3 road was removed in 2006, with the last remaining road removed in October 2007. The removal coincided with the removal of a number of semaphore signals at the station as part of a signal upgrade on the Stony Point line.On 22 June 1981, the passenger service between Frankston and Stony Point was withdrawn and replaced with a bus service, with the line between Long Island Junction and Stony Point also closing on the same day. On 16 September 1984, promotional trips for the reopening of the line began, with the passenger service reinstated on 27 September 1984.Flashing lights were provided at the Naval Base Road level crossing, located nearby in the Up direction of the station, in 1974, with boom barriers provided later on in 2011.The former station building, which was of a timber construction, was replaced with the current passenger shelters in February 1986.HMAS Cerberus was also the location for the Mornington Railway Preservation Society, until it relocated to its current site at Moorooduc in 1997.

The Shire of Hastings was a local government area about 60 kilometres (37 mi) south-southeast of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia, encompassing the eastern extremity of the Mornington Peninsula. The shire covered an area of 304.6 square kilometres (117.6 sq mi), and existed from 1960 until 1994.

The Victorian Maritime Centre is an Australian maritime museum near Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is currently located at the former BP administration building at Crib Point, Victoria. There are plans to establish a larger maritime centre in Hastings, Victoria. The new site would feature HMAS Otama, an Oberon-class submarine operated by the Royal Australian Navy from 1978 to 2000. The Otama is currently moored offshore at Crib Point. She has been moored nearby since 2002. The ship Wyuna is also planned to be displayed at the centre. For a time she was docked at Beauty Point, Tasmania, and after being refurbished for 18 months she was to be moved to Docklands in Melbourne, Victoria. After this berth became unavailable, the vessel was docked at Inspection Head Wharf in Beauty Point. After a period there, she was towed into Bell Bay where she lays at anchor as of January 2016.The planned display of the vessels would have the Otama displayed out of the water, with the Wyuna in a wet berth alongside it.

Balnarring Beach is a town in Victoria, Australia, 2 km south of Balnarring. Its local government area is the Shire of Mornington Peninsula and at the 2016 Census, Balnarring Beach had a population of 418. In 2006 it was rated by the Keep Australia Beautiful Council as 'Australia's Cleanest Beach', out of 317 beaches in five states.It was previously known as Tulum Beach.
