Newnan High School (NHS) is a public high school in southwestern Coweta County, Georgia, United States. It is located south of Newnan's historic downtown district. NHS is the oldest of the three Coweta County School System high schools. Founded in 1918 as the first high school in Newnan, NHS was a Southern Accredited School by 1919. Newnan High School has been a School of Excellence three times. Newnan offers four diploma choices: College Prep with Distinction, College Prep, Career/Technical with Distinction, and Career/Technical. Students may also choose a dual diploma program with both college prep and career/tech seals. Feeder schools include Evans Middle School, Smokey Road Middle School, and Madras Middle School. Madras also feeds into the nearby Northgate High School.

The Coweta County Courthouse is a historic government building located at Courthouse Square in the U.S. city of Newnan, Georgia, the seat of Coweta County. It was constructed in 1904, and is located along Broad Street to the south, Jefferson Street (northbound US 27 ALT/US 29) to the east, Washington Street to the north and LaGrange Street (southbound US 27 ALT/US 29) to the west. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is also a contributing property to the Newnan Commercial Historic District It is a Classical Revival-style building designed by architect James W. Golucke. It has an Ionic tetrastyle main entrance and Ionic di-style side entrances, all with full entablatures and pediments. It has stamped copper cornices and dome. Its walls are a dark brick laid in Flemish bond.The courthouse was renovated in 1975.

The Newnan Times-Herald, locally known as The Times-Herald, is a newspaper published in Newnan, Georgia. The paper was founded in 1865, which makes it the oldest news organization in Newnan and Coweta County, Georgia. It is a local newspaper and official legal organ for the community located about 30 miles south of Atlanta. On July 22, 1972, the Newnan Times-Herald received the National Newspaper Association award for "excellence in typography".

The airport is located 4 nautical miles (7 km; 5 mi) south of the central business district of Newnan, Georgia and 33 nautical miles (61 km; 38 mi) southwest of Atlanta. It is surrounded by US 29 and I-85 and 100 acres (0.40 km2) owned by the county. The airport name appears in various formats, depending on the source. The FAA refers to it as both Newnan Coweta County Airport and Newnan–Coweta County Airport. The Georgia DOT airport directory adds a hyphen/dash for Newnan–Coweta County Airport. The City of Newnan's website drops "County" from the name, resulting in Newnan–Coweta Airport. Coweta County's website drops both "County" and the hyphen/dash, for Newnan Coweta Airport and also has a photo of a sign at the airport bearing that name. It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility.
