Moreland is a town in Coweta County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2020 census, the town population was 382. The author Erskine Caldwell was born in Moreland in 1903. Newspaper columnist Lewis Grizzard grew up in the town.

Piedmont Newnan Hospital (PNH) is a 136-bed, acute-care hospital located at its new location of 745 Poplar Rd in Newnan, Georgia, offering 24-hour emergency services, women's services, and general medical/surgical services. Diagnostic services include CT, nuclear medicine, MRI, PET, ultrasound and fluoroscopy. A complete range of medical/surgical services includes laparoscopic surgery, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, sleep studies and exploratory cardiac catheterization and rehabilitation, and wound treatment/hyperbaric therapy. A new Piedmont Newnan Hospital opened on May 8, 2012. "The new hospital is situated on 105 acres along Poplar Road near I-85. At 362,376 square feet, the 136-bed hospital will have 14 post-partum beds, 18 critical care beds, and 104 general medical/surgical patient beds. The facility also will feature eight operating rooms and 23 patient rooms in the Emergency Department."With more than 800 employees and a medical staff of over 230 physicians, PNH is a member of Piedmont Healthcare (PHC), organization that also includes Piedmont Hospital, a 481-bed acute tertiary care facility offering all major medical, surgical, and diagnostic services located on 26 acres (110,000 m2) in the north Atlanta community of Buckhead; Piedmont Fayette Hospital, a 143-bed, acute-care community hospital located on Highway 54 in Fayetteville and one of the 100 Top Hospitals in the nation; and Piedmont Mountainside Hospital, a 42-bed community hospital in Jasper. The Mary Ray Memorial School, now the Raymond Community Center, is located on Raymond Sheddan Avenue in Raymond, Georgia, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 23, 2013. The school was founded in 1908 as a one-room schoolhouse. When it opened, it had around 30 students. In 1909, there were around 70 students, and a wing was added. In 1910, it had over 100 students, and a second wing was built. The school was closed in 1948, and in the early 1950s the building was given to the community for a community club. In the mid-1980s, it fell into disrepair. In 2007, new trustees were appointed, who met outside the building in the "kudzu" and decided to save it. Volunteer workers began the restoration in October 2007, and the work was completed in June 2011.

Newnan High School (NHS) is a public high school in southwestern Coweta County, Georgia, United States. It is located south of Newnan's historic downtown district. NHS is the oldest of the three Coweta County School System high schools. Founded in 1918 as the first high school in Newnan, NHS was a Southern Accredited School by 1919. Newnan High School has been a School of Excellence three times. Newnan offers four diploma choices: College Prep with Distinction, College Prep, Career/Technical with Distinction, and Career/Technical. Students may also choose a dual diploma program with both college prep and career/tech seals. Feeder schools include Evans Middle School, Smokey Road Middle School, and Madras Middle School. Madras also feeds into the nearby Northgate High School.

The Coweta County Courthouse is a historic government building located at Courthouse Square in the U.S. city of Newnan, Georgia, the seat of Coweta County. It was constructed in 1904, and is located along Broad Street to the south, Jefferson Street (northbound US 27 ALT/US 29) to the east, Washington Street to the north and LaGrange Street (southbound US 27 ALT/US 29) to the west. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is also a contributing property to the Newnan Commercial Historic District It is a Classical Revival-style building designed by architect James W. Golucke. It has an Ionic tetrastyle main entrance and Ionic di-style side entrances, all with full entablatures and pediments. It has stamped copper cornices and dome. Its walls are a dark brick laid in Flemish bond.The courthouse was renovated in 1975.

The Newnan Times-Herald, locally known as The Times-Herald, is a newspaper published in Newnan, Georgia. The paper was founded in 1865, which makes it the oldest news organization in Newnan and Coweta County, Georgia. It is a local newspaper and official legal organ for the community located about 30 miles south of Atlanta. On July 22, 1972, the Newnan Times-Herald received the National Newspaper Association award for "excellence in typography".
