The Museo Nacional de San Carlos (English: National Museum of San Carlos) is a Mexican national art museum devoted to European art, located in the Cuauhtémoc borough in Mexico City. The museum is housed in the Palace of the Count of Buenavista, a neoclassical building at Puente de Alvarado No. 50, Colonia Tabacalera, Mexico City. It contains works by Lucas Cranach the Elder, Parmigianino, Frans Hals, Anthony van Dyck, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, Auguste Rodin and other well-known European painters and sculptors.

The Palace of the Count of Buenavista is a Mexican historical building located in Cuauhtémoc (one of the 16 boroughs of Mexico City), precisely at 50 Puente de Alvarado Street, in the Tabacalera neighborhood. It was built between the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century to serve as the future residence of the Count of Buenavista, who however never lived there. Since 1968 it houses the National Museum of San Carlos. It was declared a historical monument on March 28, 1932.

The Academia de Artes (AA) is the Mexican Academy of Arts founded 1967/1968 by CONACULTA for the promotion of Mexican art. Seat of the institution is the Museo Nacional de San Carlos in Mexico City. The Slogan of the Acadademy is elevación por el arte (elevation/refinement through art).

The Monumento Encuentro (lit. transl. Monument Encounter) refers to two bronze statues seated on a bench in Colonia Tabacalera, Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City. Otherwise known as the bench of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara and the statues of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, the artwork features sitting statues of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, major figures of the Cuban Revolution (1953–1959). The monument references the first time both met in 1955 in Tabacalera. The sculptures were designed by Óscar Ponzanelli in 2017. Upon its inauguration, the monument received negative reception.

Revolución is a station on Line 2 of the Mexico City Metro system. It is located in the Colonia Tabacalera and Colonia Buenavista districts in the Cuauhtémoc borough of Mexico City, northwest of the city centre, on Avenida México - Tenochtitlan. It was first opened to the public on 14 September 1970.

The College of San Fernando de México was a Roman Catholic Franciscan missionary college, or seminary (Colegio Apostólico), founded in Spanish colonial Mexico City by the Franciscan Order of Friars Minor on October 15, 1734. The institution was established to provide specific training for priests who were to work among the indigenous populations within the Spanish colonial Viceroyalty of New Spain, located in present-day Mexico and the southwestern United States.

The Museo Universitario del Chopo (meaning, "poplar"; locally nicknamed Crystal Palace or simply El Chopo, in Spanish) (Chopo University Museum) is located at Doctor Enrique González Martínez Street in the Colonia Santa María la Ribera of Mexico City. It has collections in contemporary art, and is part of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

The statue of Vicente Guerrero, a hero of independence and president of Mexico until he was driven from the presidency by conservatives, was installed in Mexico City's Plaza de San Fernando, in 1870. The installation follows the defeat of Mexican conservatives and reestablishment of the republic under liberal control. The bronze sculpture was created from the model in plaster by Mexican sculptor, Miguel Noreña (1839-1894). Noreña is best known for his sculpture topping the Monument to Cuauhtémoc, the last Aztec emperor.

Colonia Tabacalera is a colonia or neighborhood in the Cuauhtémoc borough of Mexico City, on the western border of the city's historic center. It was created in the late 19th century along with other nearby colonias such as Colonia San Rafael and Colonia Santa María la Ribera. From the early 1900s, it became a mixture of mansions and apartment buildings, with major constructions such as the now Monument to the Revolution and the El Moro skyscraper built in the first half of the century. By the 1950s, the area had a bohemian reputation with writers, artists, and exiles living there. These included Fidel Castro and Ernesto “Che” Guevara, who met each other and began planning the Cuban Revolution there. Today, the colonia is in decline with problems such as prostitution, crime, street vending and traffic. However, the area is still home to some of the many traditional Mexican cantinas that populated it in its heyday.

The Palacio Legislativo Federal (Federal Legislative Palace) was a never-completed building for the legislative bodies of the Mexican Federal Republic.

The Monument to the Revolution (Spanish: Monumento a la Revolución) is a landmark and monument commemorating the Mexican Revolution. It is located in Plaza de la República, near to the heart of the major thoroughfares Paseo de la Reforma and Avenida de los Insurgentes in downtown Mexico City.

The San Fernando Pantheon (also known as Museo Panteón de San Fernando) is one of the oldest cemeteries in Mexico City that is preserved to this day. It is one of the most representative examples of 19th century funerary architecture and art in Mexico, and it functioned between 1832 and 1872. It is the final destination of the remains of several of the outstanding figures of 19th century Mexican history, and the most prominent are the remains of Presidents Benito Juárez , Miguel Miramón (later interred in the Puebla Cathedral) and General Ignacio Zaragoza, among many others.
