Saint Francis School is a Private, Independent, not for profit, college preparatory school with no religious affiliation that has been serving students of the Metro Atlanta area since 1976. The Gathering at South Forsyth is a proposed mixed-use development in the Atlanta metropolitan area to be located in Forsyth County, Georgia near the city of Alpharetta. The centerpiece of the development is an 18,000-seat arena, intended to bring a National Hockey League franchise back to the metro Atlanta area. The Gathering at South Forsyth is modeled after The Battery Atlanta, a mixed-use development in Cobb County anchored by Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball.

Alpharetta is a city located in northern Fulton County, Georgia, United States, and is a part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, Alpharetta's population was 57,551. The estimated population in 2019 was 67,213.

Taste of Alpharetta is a festival/event where over 60 restaurants offer a wide range of foods. Established in 1991, it's located in Alpharetta, Georgia and drew over 60,000 people one year. Restaurants typically sell small "tasting" size portions which are typical of the restaurants' offerings from tables and tents. The event also features games, live concerts, culinary competitions, and art exhibits. In 2010, local chefs created over 200,000 dishes which were served at the festival. According to local and regional media, the Taste of Alpharetta is now one of the most popular and well-attended “taste of” festivals in the South. Many desserts appetizers and entrees are offered during the festival. There are moonwalks, many different performing bands, and many places to sit down and eat. It has been celebrated for two decades of delivering good food. The Taste of Alpharetta is held annually on a Thursday during the month of May.

Avalon is a mixed-use development in Alpharetta, Georgia. Phase I of the 86-acre (35 ha) site includes 500,000 square feet (46,000 m2) of retail space, a 12-screen Regal Cinemas theater, 105,000 square foot of Class A office space over retail, 101 single-family residences and 250 luxury rental homes. Phase II, with additional business and residential space, opened in April 2017.

Halcyon is a mixed-use development in southern Forsyth County, Georgia, in the Atlanta metropolitan area. It has an Alpharetta postal address, despite not being located within the Alpharetta city limits or even in the same county. Halcyon is located at McFarland Parkway and Georgia State Route 400 (U.S. Route 19). Halcyon opened its first phase in summer 2019 (Retail Sneak Peek date is set to September 18, 2019), and is planned to contain: Retail stores Restaurants The "Market Hall", a food hall "Cinebistro" cinema with in-cinema dining 300 market-rate apartments 160 rental units reserved for senior citizen 73 single-family houses 132 townhouses 480,000 square feet of retail and office space two hotels a Mercedes-Benz Experience Center

The Lionheart School is a 501(c)3 non-profit independent school for children ages 5 to 21 with autism or other disorders of relating and communicating. The school was established in 2000 and is located in Alpharetta, Georgia, United States. Lionheart was awarded SACS/SAIS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/ Southern Association of Independent Schools) Accreditation in 2008. Lionheart is a member of GISA (Georgia Independent Schools Association). Lionheart currently serves 30 students, and is embarking on a capital campaign in order to move to a larger space and enroll more students. The school was featured in an article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on August 17, 2008.
