Streatham Hill Theatre

Streatham is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2019 by Bell Ribeiro-Addy of the Labour Party. In the 2016 EU referendum, Streatham was estimated to have voted to remain in the European Union by 79%. This was the second highest remain vote in the United Kingdom, behind Vauxhall.

Streatham Hill railway station is one of three stations serving the district of Streatham, in the London Borough of Lambeth. It is 5 miles 57 chains (9.2 km) measured from London Victoria. The wooden station building at street level faces the busy Streatham High Road (A23) at the junction with Leigham Court Road. Services are operated by Southern. Access to the platforms – which are in a cutting below street level and which continue under a bridge beneath the road – is possible via a pair of staircases or lifts. A project to replace the staircases and introduce lift access was completed in 2009. The station is served by Class 377s and Class 455s.

Pullman Court is a Grade II* listed building on Streatham Hill, London, designed by Frederick Gibberd.It was built in 1936, and commissioned from Gibberd when he was 23.Pullman Court consists of 218 flats in three blocks.Actress Nanette Newman lived in the block in the 1940s.

Streatham High Road, some 1.8 miles (2.9 km) in length, is part of the main A23 road from London to Brighton, and is in the London Borough of Lambeth. It begins in the north at Streatham Hill railway station, being an end-on junction with Streatham Hill and continues south to Norbury where the A23 becomes London Road. Because Streatham existed in Saxon times, it is likely the road existed as early as 1068, when it is mentioned in literature.

Dunraven School is a 4–18 mixed, all-through school and sixth form with academy status in Streatham, Greater London, England. Its buildings are based over two sites that were previously used as a teacher training college (formerly known as Upper School, now the South Site) and a primary school (formerly known as Lower School, now the North Site and occupied by the sixth form).In 2009, its sports hall was built using 40 old freight containers, a construction that was subsequently awarded the British Construction Industry Award.

Streatham Library is located at 63 Streatham High Road, Streatham, in the London Borough of Lambeth, England. The Library opened in 1890, and is one of several historical libraries in the vicinity which were built by Henry Tate. It is a public library.

On 2 February 2020 two people were stabbed in Streatham, London in what police termed a terrorist incident. The attacker, Sudesh Amman, was shot dead by the police. A nearby woman was slightly injured by broken glass as a result. At the time Amman was under active counter-terrorism surveillance, after having recently being released from prison on licence; he had been convicted in 2018 for disseminating terrorist material. Following the attack, the British government introduced the Terrorist Offenders Bill, a piece of emergency legislation intended to prevent those convicted of terrorist offences from being released early from prison.

Pratts was a department store located in Streatham High Road, London. Established in the 1850s it became part of the John Lewis chain before its closure in 1990.

Tulse Hill School was a large comprehensive school for boys in Upper Tulse Hill, in the London Borough of Lambeth, England. The school building had eight floors and served almost two thousand pupils. It opened in 1956 and closed in 1990. Notable alumni included Ken Livingstone, the former London Mayor.

Thornton ward is an administrative division of the London Borough of Lambeth, United Kingdom. The ward comprises the communities of Clapham Park and the Hyde Farm Estate. The ward shares the borough's western boundary with Wandsworth along Cavendish Road and Emmanuel Road alongside Tooting Bec Common. The south eastern boundary then continues along Emmanuel Road and New Park Road to the A205 South Circular Road. The boundaries of northern part of the ward follow the boundaries of the Clapham Park estate east of Kings Avenue and then cross to run down Clarence Avenue and Poynders Road. The ward is located in the Streatham parliamentary constituency.

HM Prison Brixton is a local men's prison, located in Brixton area of the London Borough of Lambeth, in inner-South London. The prison is operated by Her Majesty's Prison Service.
