Merton Hall, Norfolk

Merton is a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It covers an area of 5.94 km2 (2.29 sq mi) and had a population of 113 in 50 households at the 2001 census, increasing to a population of 133 in 56 households at the 2011 census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of Breckland. The villages name means 'Pool farm/settlement'.Merton Hall is the home of Lord Walsingham. Its church, St Peter's, is one of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk and is a Grade I listed building.

Thompson is a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It covers an area of 9.20 km2 (3.55 sq mi) and including Tottington had a population of 341 in 147 households at the 2001 census, increasing to 343 in 155 households at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of Breckland. Thompson is a relatively secluded village, located amongst acres of woodland, with the nearest town being Watton. In this region the name Thompson is believed to have Danish origins, as it was part of the Danelaw after centuries of invasion. The village is recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Tomesteda and Tomestuna.

Watton is a market town in the district of Breckland in the English county of Norfolk, about 25 miles (40 km) west-southwest of Norwich and 15 miles (24 km) northeast of Thetford. The annual Wayland Agricultural Show in its west is one of the oldest one-day such shows in England.

Wayland Hall, also known as Watton Town Hall, is a community events venue in Middle Street, Watton, Norfolk, England: the structure, which also accommodates a local history museum, is a grade II listed building.

Watton railway station was located in Watton, Norfolk. It was on the Great Eastern Railway line between Swaffham and Thetford, and closed for passengers in 1964 and freight in 1965 as part of the Beeching Axe.

Watton United Football Club is an English football club based in Watton, Norfolk. The club are currently members of the Anglian Combination Division One and play at Watton Sports Centre.

Loch Neaton is a freshwater lake near Watton in Norfolk, England. It was created after earth was excavated in 1875 to create a mile long embankment for the extension to Swaffham of the Thetford to Watton railway station. Local businessmen saw the potential of creating a leisure park in the area, with a tennis court, bowling green and bandstand. The excavated area was filled with water to create a lake for swimming, boating and fishing. In honor of the railway labourers that created the excavation, who were mainly Scottish, the lake was called a Loch.

HM Prison Wayland is a Category C men's prison, located near the village of Griston in Norfolk, England. The prison is operated by His Majesty's Prison Service.

Stow Bedon railway station is a closed station in Stow Bedon, Norfolk. It was initially opened in 1869 by the Great Eastern Railway network and became London and North Eastern Railway in 1923. It became British Railways in 1948 who closed the station in 1964.
