The Lorena Ochoa Invitational was a women's professional golf tournament in México on the LPGA Tour. Hosted by Lorena Ochoa, the event debuted in November 2008 at the course where she learned to play, Guadalajara Country Club in Guadalajara. The Lorena Ochoa Invitational was a 72-hole limited-field tournament, limited to 36 golfers. The top five in the Rolex Women's World Rankings were invited, in addition to the top 26 players on the LPGA money list not already in the field via the rankings. Another five players were invited through sponsor exemptions. In 2014, the tournament moved to the Club de Golf México in Mexico City, a par-72 layout set at 6,684 yards (6,112 m).In November 2016, it was announced that the event would move to the first week of May in 2017 as a match play event, the Lorena Ochoa Match Play, with a field of 64 players and $1.2 million purse. The event was not included on the 2018 schedule. During the fall of 2018, Mexican media outlets reported a possible return in time for the event to be included in the 2019 LPGA Tour season.

The 1967 World Cup took place 9–12 November at the Club de Golf Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico. It was the 15th World Cup event, which was named the Canada Cup until 1966 and changed its name to the World Cup in 1967. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 40 teams. Each team consisted of two players from a country. The combined score of each team determined the team results. The American team of Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer won by 13 strokes over the New Zealand team of Bob Charles and Walter Godfrey. The individual competition was won by Palmer.

The 1958 Canada Cup took place 20–23 November at the Club de Golf México in Mexico City, Mexico. It was the sixth Canada Cup event, which became the World Cup in 1967. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 32 teams. These were the same 30 teams that had competed in 1957 without Thailand but with the addition of Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. Each team consisted of two players from a country. The combined score of each team determined the team results. The Irish team of Harry Bradshaw and Christy O'Connor Snr won by three strokes over the Spanish team of Ángel Miguel and Sebastián Miguel. The individual competition was won by Ángel Miguel, who beat Harry Bradshaw at the third hole of a sudden-death playoff.

The Instituto Nacional de Cancerología (National Cancer Institute, abbreviated INCan) is a public institution administered by the Mexican Secretariat of Health which specializes in the treatment of cancer. It is one of 12 specialized hospitals that provides public health services and trains new resident doctors. It was created on November 25, 1946, by then-President Manuel Ávila Camacho.

The National Institute of Health Sciences and Nutrition “Salvador Zubirán” (Spanish: Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutrición Salvador Zubirán) is one of the twelve national institutes part of the Mexican Secretariat of Health. Its main functions and services include medical research, specialized medical attention and health education for future professionals. It is located in the Tlalpan borough in the south of Mexico City where the main hospitals in the city are located. David Kershenobich Stalnikowitz currently manages the institute.

The Universidad Intercontinental (commonly known as UIC; in English: Intercontinental University) is a private Catholic University, located in Mexico City. Founded in 1976 by Guadalupe Missionaries and being one of the only six Mexican universities in the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU). With historical strengths in dentistry, Psychology, and Pedagogy, it is one of the top Mexican universities in these fields. World leaders in the area of communications such as Rodrigo Flores López, Alfonso de Anda and Adriana Sodi majored from Universidad Intercontinental.

The Universidad Pontificia de México (Pontifical University of Mexico) is a private institution of higher education established by the Holy See and sponsored by the Roman Catholic Episcopate in Mexico. It is one of the two modern Mexican universities claiming to be successors of the Royal and Pontifical University of Mexico (Real y Pontificia Universidad de México) one of the first universities founded in North America.

The Colegio Franco Español (CFE, "French-Spanish School") is a private school in the San Lorenzo Huipulco colonia in Tlalpan, Mexico City. It covers preschool through high school (preparatoria) levels.

Restaurante Arroyo is the world's largest single Mexican restaurant, located in the Tlalpan area of Mexico City. The restaurant, which employs more than 1,000 people during its peak season, has seating for 2,200 patrons in nine dining rooms, and parking for 600 cars. It also features stages for musical performances, an array of wandering mariachi and jarocho bands, an infirmary, an area for hosting piñata parties, a cockfighting pit, a mechanical bull, and its own bullring.

The Monumento al perro callejero (lit. transl. "Monument to the Stray Dog"), also known as Peluso, is an outdoor bronze sculpture installed along Insurgentes Sur Avenue, in the southern borough of Tlalpan, in Mexico City. The statue was unveiled in July 2008 and was dedicated to the free-ranging dogs of the city. It was sculpted by Girasol Botello and its model was Peluso, a former stray dog that was adopted by Patricia España, founder of Milagros Caninos, a non-governmental dog shelter. The shelter collected money and paid for the sculpture in order to raise awareness about the large population of free-ranging dogs in the city. Since its establishment, the monument has been neglected, vandalized and defaced.

The National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery (Instituto Nacional de Neurología y Neurocirugía, or INNN), is a public hospital in Mexico City. The hospital has 126 beds, for patients of neurosurgery, neurology, and psychiatry.

The Heroic Military College (officially in Spanish: Heroico Colegio Militar) is the major military educational institution in Mexico. It was founded in 1823 and located in the former Palace of the Inquisition in Mexico City. Initially designated as the Cadet Academy, it was renamed in 1823 as the Colegio Militar. The college was relocated in Perote, Veracruz, before being returned to Mexico City, where it was established in the Betlemitas monastery (today occupied by the Interactive Museum of the Economy and the Museum of the Mexican Army and Air Force). From 1835, the Military College was located in the Recogidas Building (destroyed by an earthquake in 1985). Cadets training for the Mexican Navy originally formed part of the student body, but in 1897, the Military Naval School was established as a separate institution in Veracruz. The Military College comes under the supervision of the Mexican Army and Air Force University and the Army Military Education General Directorate.
