Johnsonville Township is one of thirteen townships in Harnett County, North Carolina, United States. The township had a population of 6,927 according to the 2000 census. It is a part of the Dunn Micropolitan Area, which is also a part of the greater Raleigh–Durham–Cary Combined Statistical Area (CSA) as defined by the United States Census Bureau. Geographically, Johnsonville Township occupies 65.17 square miles (168.8 km2) in southwestern Harnett County. There are no incorporated municipalities located in Johnsonville Township, however, there are several unincorporated communities located here, including the communities of Johnsonville and Spout Springs.

Pineview is an unincorporated community located in the Barbecue Township of Harnett County, North Carolina, United States. It is a part of the Dunn Micropolitan Area, which is also a part of the greater Raleigh–Durham–Cary Combined Statistical Area (CSA) as defined by the United States Census Bureau. The community is centered on the intersection of North Carolina Highway 87 and North Carolina Highway 27. Pineview was formerly a great producer of dewberries (Powell 1968, p. 384).

Spout Springs is a Census-designated place in Johnsonville Township of Harnett County, North Carolina, United States. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 11,040.It is a part of the Dunn Micropolitan Area, which is also a part of the greater Raleigh–Durham–Cary Combined Statistical Area (CSA) as defined by the United States Census Bureau. Spout Springs formerly produced lumber and naval stores.The area population has increased greatly in the 21st century due to the expansion of nearby Ft. Bragg.

Geographically, Barbecue Township occupies 59.65 square miles (154.5 km2) in southwestern Harnett County. There are no incorporated municipalities located in Barbecue Township, however, there are several unincorporated communities located here, including the communities of Barbecue, Olivia and Pineview.

Overhills is an unincorporated community located in the Johnsonville Township of Harnett County, North Carolina, United States, near the Cumberland County town of Spring Lake. It is a part of the Dunn Micropolitan Area, which is also a part of the greater Raleigh–Durham–Cary Combined Statistical Area (CSA) as defined by the United States Census Bureau. The community was originally a 17,500-acre (7,100 ha) estate owned by the Percy Rockefeller family but later acquired by the federal government and is now mostly located inside nearby Fort Bragg (Powell 1968, p. 87). A Donald Ross-designed golf course was added to the estate in two separate projects and is also now located inside Fort Bragg.

Hairtown is an unincorporated community located in the Anderson Creek Township of Harnett County, North Carolina.

Anderson Creek Club is a residential golf course community in the United States, located in the unincorporated community of Anderson Creek, North Carolina. Anderson Creek Club features a par 72 course. It was designed by Davis Love III, opened in 2001 it was awarded 4 1/2 Stars by Golf Digest. According to the Anderson Creek Club website: The golf course is "designed to accommodate any skill level, it boasts an outstanding practice facility with a 10,000 square foot putting green, practice area, chipping area, sand bunker and practice range with multiple targets."

Western Harnett High School is one of six high schools in Harnett County, North Carolina, United States. The other high schools include, Harnett Central, Triton, Overhills, the alternative school and Harnett Early College, located in Dunn, NC. WHHS is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lillington, the county seat on N.C. Highway 27. The school was officially dedicated in May 1978, along with Harnett Central High School. The mascot for WHHS is the eagle.

Lemon Springs is an unincorporated community in southern Lee County, North Carolina, United States. It lies south of Sanford, and southeast of Tramway. The community is centered on The Fastop Convenience store, now known as Eagles when the long-standing Fastop was sold, the business shares a building with the Fastop Grill. The Greenwood Elementary School is the only one in the Lemon Springs community, before there were closer Middle and High schools, Greenwood was for grades K-12. The Lemon Springs area is only approximately one mile across, but features a volunteer fire department, a post office, a Methodist Church, a Baptist Church, an Apostolic Church, a quarry, and a Gas Station. Upper Little River, a tributary of the Cape Fear River, rises in a pond about 1 mile east of Lemon Springs.

Pope Air Force Base Historic District is a historic airplane hangar located at Pope Air Force Base, Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was built in 1934, and has a double-bay metal superstructure resting on a concrete foundation and floor. It is of bowstring truss construction. The building measures 333 feet, 6 inches, by 124 feet.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
