It was built in 1934, and has a double-bay metal superstructure resting on a concrete foundation and floor. It is of bowstring truss construction. The building measures 333 feet, 6 inches, by 124 feet.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Pope Field (IATA: POB, ICAO: KPOB, FAA LID: POB) is a U.S. military facility located 12 miles (19 km) northwest of the central business district of Fayetteville, in Cumberland County, North Carolina, United States. Formerly known as Pope Air Force Base, the facility is now operated by the U.S. Air Force via a memorandum of agreement (MOA) and an interservices support agreement (ISSA) with the U.S. Army as part of Fort Liberty.

The Green Ramp disaster was a 1994 mid-air collision and subsequent ground collision at Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina. It killed twenty-four members of the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division preparing for an airborne training operation.As of 2023, this incident has the largest number of ground fatalities for an accidental crash of an aircraft on U.S. soil. It was also the worst peacetime loss of life suffered by the division since the end of World War II.

The facility is named for Medal of Honor recipient Bryant H. Womack. It contains 138 beds, with about 66,000 patients visiting the hospital's emergency department, and more than 11,000 patients are admitted yearly. Its physicians perform about 2,700 inpatient and 7,400 outpatient surgeries each year. The Medical Center serves more than 160,000 eligible beneficiaries in the region, the largest beneficiary population in the Army.

Anderson Creek Club features a par 72 course. It was designed by Davis Love III, opened in 2001 it was awarded 4 1/2 Stars by Golf Digest. According to the Anderson Creek Club website: The golf course is "designed to accommodate any skill level, it boasts an outstanding practice facility with a 10,000 square foot putting green, practice area, chipping area, sand bunker and practice range with multiple targets."
