Calvary station (Chicago and North Western Railway)

Calvary was a station on the Chicago Rapid Transit Company's Evanston Line, now the Chicago Transit Authority's Purple Line. The station was located at 400 Chicago Avenue, across from the entrance to Calvary Cemetery. Calvary opened on May 16, 1908, and closed in 1931; it was replaced by South Boulevard. After its closure, Calvary remained boarded and abandoned for seven decades before being demolished in February 1995.

The Howard Yard is a CTA rail yard in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side of Chicago, Illinois, on the border with Evanston, Illinois. It is the largest rail yard of the CTA, and stores cars from the Yellow, Red, and Purple Lines of the Chicago Transit Authority. Currently, 5000-series railcars are stored here. It is adjacent to Howard station. The yard was opened in 1919 and gradually replaced the functions of Wilson Yard, until the latter was destroyed by fire in 1996. The yard was rebuilt between 1991 and 1993. A train derailed in the yard in 1990, disrupting rail traffic to Evanston. In 2023, a Yellow Line train collided with a CTA snowplow on tracks adjacent to the yard.

Saint George High School was a Catholic secondary school operated by the Brothers of the Christian Schools in Evanston, Illinois between 1927 and 1969.

South Boulevard (shortened to South Blvd) is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, on the Purple Line at 602 South Boulevard in Evanston, Illinois (directional coordinates 525 north, 500 west). In 1931, the old Calvary station was replaced by South Boulevard and it was opened on July 1, 1931. Designed by Arthur U. Gerber, South Boulevard consists of a winding central platform to the shape of the street that overlooks. It is now very similar to the original station, only catenary maintained by steel arches disappeared in 1973 during the installation of an electric rail to the ground while the lighting was renewed in 1998. For the rest, except for renovation from 2004 to 2005, the structure has not changed.

Howard is an 'L' station in Chicago, Illinois. It is the northern terminus of the Red Line and the southeastern terminus of the Yellow Line; it also serves the Purple Line, for which it is the southern terminus at non-rush hour times on weekdays and all day on weekends. Trains on the Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee Railroad (North Shore Line) also stopped at Howard from 1926 until that line was abandoned in 1963.

Westminster is a historic apartment building at 632-640 Hinman Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. The three-story brick building was built in 1912. The building has a U-shaped layout with a wide central courtyard. Architect John A. Nyden, who lived in Evanston and designed several other apartment buildings in the city, designed the Prairie School building. The building's design features limestone banding, arched entrances, wood mullions on the windows, and a hipped roof with a bracketed cornice.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 15, 1984.

AMITA Health Saint Francis Hospital is a hospital at 355 Ridge Ave, in Evanston, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago. AMITA Health Saint Francis Hospital is part of AMITA Health. Its facilities include a Level 1 Trauma and Heart Center, and it has 216 general Acute care beds. AMITA Health Saint Francis Hospital of Evanston had been operated by Resurrection Health Care. Resurrection Health Care merged with Provena Health to form Presence Health. As a result, the hospital was renamed Presence Saint Francis Hospital. The hospital was again renamed when Presence Health merged into AMITA Health.

The Buildings at 815–817 Brummel and 819–821 Brummel are two historic apartment buildings in Evanston, Illinois. Built in 1928 and 1927 respectively, the two three-story buildings have identical, mirrored Tudor Revival designs. Despite being identical, the buildings were designed by two different architects; 815–817 was designed by E.L. Kline, while 819–821 was designed by Kocher & Larson. Each building features a brick exterior with limestone detailing, Tudor arched entrances, double gables with a diamond pattern facing the street, and crenellation and a small tower on the courtyard-facing side. The two buildings encircle a shared open courtyard, causing them to resemble a single U-shaped courtyard apartment building; while such courtyard apartments are common in Evanston, the buildings are the only multi-building example of the design.The buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 15, 1984.

Ridge was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's Niles Center branch, now known as the Yellow Line. The station was located at Ridge Avenue and Brummel Street in Evanston, Illinois. Ridge was situated east of Asbury and west of Howard. Ridge opened on March 28, 1925, and closed on March 27, 1948, upon the closing of the Niles Center branch.

The Building at 548–606 Michigan Avenue is a historic building in Evanston, Illinois. The three-story brown brick building was built in 1924. Architect N. Hilton Smith designed the building, which incorporates elements of Gothic and Prairie School architecture. The building's design features geometric themes, projecting bays, terra cotta detailing, and a brick parapet. The building encircles a recessed courtyard with a wrought iron gate and multicolored stone paths.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 15, 1984.

Reba Place Fellowship is a Christian intentional community in Evanston, Illinois, within the Chicago metro area. Founded in 1957, Reba Place Fellowship is the oldest urban Christian commune in the United States. Families and singles share life together in houses and apartments owned by Reba Place in two different Chicago neighborhoods, one in Evanston and the other in Rogers Park. The community shares a common purse, where paychecks are pooled, and members are given monthly allowances. After distributing personal and family living expenses, Reba uses the remainder "to further God's Kingdom," by meeting needs within the group, or furthering ministries outside of the community.
