West Zone State University

Inhoaíba is a neighborhood in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Jardim Paulista is a district in the subprefecture of Pinheiros in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The neighbourhood of the same name, located within the district, is one of the neighbourhoods that make up the larger region of Jardins, and borders the neighbourhoods of Consolação, Cerqueira César and Paraíso. Jardim Paulista is the area delimited by Paulista Avenue, Peixoto Gomide Street, 9 de Julho Avenue, São Gabriel Avenue, República do Líbano Avenue, and Brigadeiro Luís Antônio Avenue. Many of the streets in Jardim Paulista are named after other municipalities in the state of São Paulo.

Campo Grande is the largest neighborhood in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Campo Grande has a population of 328,370 inhabitants and an area of 119 km2 (46 mi2), on both counts Rio's largest. It is situated 50 kilometers (31 miles) away from Downtown Rio. The Campo Grande neighborhood is the headquarters of the administrative region of Campo Grande, which includes the neighborhoods of Campo Grande, Inhoaíba, Senador Vasconcelos and Santíssimo. Its occupation dates back to November 17, 1603, mainly due to the numerous Jesuit works in the region.

The Estádio Ítalo Del Cima is a football stadium inaugurated on April 29, 1960 in Campo Grande neighborhood, Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro (state), with a maximum capacity of 18,000 people. The stadium is owned by Campo Grande Atlético Clube, and it is also the home stadium of Futuro Bem Próximo Atlético Clube. Its formal name honors del Cima family.

Paciência is a neighborhood in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After the inauguration in 1878 of the Campo Grande station of the Brazilian Central Railway made it easier to reach the center of the city quickly, the area, including the nearby neighbourhood of Paciência, began to develop rapidly; later Paciência got its own station. The neighbourhood is also near Santa Cruz and Sepetiba. There are around 85.000 inhabitants. There are 25 elementary and high schools.

Santíssimo is a neighborhood in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, near Campo Grande. Most residents are in the low-income group. In the beginning the railroad stations proceeded on this order: Bangu, Senador Camará, Santíssimo, Senador Vasconcelos, and Campo Grande. Santíssimo was prosperous in the epoch that Rio de Janeiro exported oranges to foreign countries. There were small stores near market places where the oranges were beneficials for exportation. With the end of the rural period in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Santíssimo became disowned into a neighborhood merely dormitory or a neighborhood of passages to the regions more forward on the map of the city of Rio de Janeiro, on the direction of the west region. Nowadays the neighborhood of Santíssimo has a constant increase of its population in irregular lands that multiply compromising even the rich mountainous geography of the region. Stuck in the middle of Parque da Pedra Branca (White Stone Park, in English), the neighborhood of Santíssimo is also one more example of the neglect of local authorities to control the occupation of the urban space.

The Parque Paraíso is the biggest neighborhood council in the Brazilian municipality of Itapecerica da Serra, in the state of São Paulo. It has a large network of trade and the largest and most comprehensive public transport network. The neighborhood almost forms a conurbation with the city centre and has a large proportion of the population of the municipality of Itapecerica. The 2000 census lists a total population of 25,536.
