Depew station (Lehigh Valley Railroad)

Depew () is a village in Erie County, New York. The population was 15,303 at the time of the 2010 census. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan area. The village is named for Chauncey Depew, a politician and one of the original investors who bought the land for the village, which was incorporated in 1894. The village extends across the boundary between the towns of Lancaster and Cheektowaga. The village lies on both sides of NY Route 78 (Transit Road), a major north-south route. Village residents voted on January 17, 2017 to not dissolve the Village of Depew into the Towns of Lancaster and Cheektowaga, by a margin of 3,006–1,165.

US Post Office—Depew is a historic post office building located at Depew in Erie County, New York. It was designed and built 1938–1939, and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, Louis A. Simon. The building is in the Colonial Revival style. The interior features a mural by Anne Poor painted in 1941 and titled "Beginning the Day."It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

St. Mary's High School is a co-educational, Roman Catholic high school located in Lancaster, New York, 4.5 miles South East of the Buffalo Niagara International Airport and 14.5 East of downtown Buffalo. The school is within the Diocese of Buffalo. St. Mary's enrollment includes students in grades 9-12 from four counties and approximately 30 school districts. The current "Head of School" is Kevin Kelleher.

The October 2006 Buffalo storm was an unusual early-season lake effect snow storm that hit the Buffalo, New York area and other surrounding areas of the United States and Canada, from the afternoon of Thursday, October 12 through the morning of Friday, October 13, 2006. It was called Lake Storm Aphid by the National Weather Service office in Buffalo, in accordance with their naming scheme for lake-effect snowstorms for that year, which related to insects, though locals never used that terminology and have simply referred to it as the October Surprise or the October Storm or Arborgeddon.

The district encompasses 17 contributing buildings in the central business district of the village of Lancaster. The district includes a variety of residential, commercial, and government buildings built between about 1860 and 1940. It includes notable examples of Italianate and Colonial Revival style architecture. Notable buildings include the Lancaster Town Hall and Opera House (c. 1894, 1976-1978), Former Post Office (c. 1905), Cushing Block (c. 1896), and Potter-Eaton House (c. 1895, moved 1940).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Broadway Historic District is a national historic district located at Lancaster in Erie County, New York. The district encompasses 85 contributing resources in the village of Lancaster. The district includes a variety of commercial, residential, religious and institutional buildings built between about 1831 and 1940. It includes notable examples of Greek Revival, Italianate, Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. Located in the district are the separately listed Lancaster Municipal Building (1940), Miller-Mackey House (c. 1900), Clark-Lester House (ca. 1891), Bruce-Briggs Brick Block (c. 1855), Lancaster Masonic Lodge Hall (1916-1919), Liebler-Rohl Gasoline Station (c. 1935), Dr. John J. Nowak House (ca. 1930), Zuidema-Idsardi House (c. 1870), Herman B. VanPeyma House (ca. 1890), and John Richardson House (c. 1840). Lodge/Potter's Hall (c. 1924), and Lancaster Presbyterian Church (1832-1833).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve is located near the city of Buffalo in the Town of Cheektowaga in Erie County, New York, USA. Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve is a 292-acre (118 ha) forested complex that also includes wetlands and ponds, located within a developed suburban area. The nature preserve also features an environmental education center.Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve and Environmental Education Center is owned and operated by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.

Buffalo–Depew station is an Amtrak train station in Depew, New York, a suburb of Buffalo. It was built in 1979 to replace the Buffalo Central Terminal as Buffalo's main Amtrak station. (Buffalo–Exchange Street station, located near downtown Buffalo, has limited parking space and is located on a line that is not easily accessible by the Lake Shore Limited.) It is located 10 miles (16 km) east of downtown Buffalo. The station was built to a standard design common to most Amtrak stations built from the 1970s to the early 1990s. Standard features at Depew include concrete block walls, floor-to-ceiling windows and a cantilevered black roof.The station is served by eight trains per day: two Empire Service round trips, one Lake Shore Limited round trip, and one Maple Leaf round trip. It has a single side platform adjacent to the southernmost of the four tracks of the Rochester Subdivision. The Lake Shore Subdivision, used by the Lake Shore Limited, diverges to the south between Buffalo–Depew and downtown Buffalo.

Miller—Mackey House is a historic home located at Lancaster in Erie County, New York. It is a locally distinctive example of the Colonial Revival style of architecture built in 1905 for Dr. John G. Miller. In 1957, the Depew Lancaster Boys' Club purchased the property and since that time has been used as a recreational and social facility for the area's young people.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. It is located in the Broadway Historic District.
