Former St. George Roman Catholic Church

The Tu Es Petrus and St. George and the Dragon Stained Glass Windows are two nave window designs located in the former St. George Roman Catholic Church at 823 Climax Street in the Allentown neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The windows were made by Leo Thomas whilst working for George Boos Studio in the Munich Style design during the church’s construction in 1911-1912.

Emerald View Park (formerly called Grand View Scenic Byway Park) is a large municipal park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It encircles the neighborhoods of Mt. Washington, Duquesne Heights and Allentown and offers scenic views of the city that draw more than 1 million visitors annually. The park, officially created on Earth Day 2007, is 280 acres (1.1 km2). It joins Frick, Schenley, Highland, Riverview, and Three Rivers Parks as the sixth in the city's network of regional parks. Until consolidated, this land was an assortment of existing smaller parks, greenways, forested hillsides, playing fields, and neglected land parcels. It is jointly managed by the city of Pittsburgh and the neighborhood's community development corporation.

St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church is a Ukrainian Catholic parish in the South Side Flats neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania under the authority of the Eparchy of St. Josaphat in Parma, Ohio. The parish was established in 1891. Its historic church building, located at 109 South Carson Street in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was built in 1895 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Brownsville Road is a road between Pittsburgh, at Eighteenth Street and South Avenue in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania eastwards through Mount Oliver and generally highlands situated along or near the hilltops often overlooking (and sometimes taking shorter paths cutting across the loops of the meanders of) the Monongahela River. It has had several names over its history, and was also known at the Red Stone Road and the period it was a Plank Road managed as a toll road, the Brownsville Plank Road, or the Brownsville Turnpike, or locally, as the area grew into a city, Southern Avenue. Along its route, it would also travel through Westmoreland County and end at its start terminus in Brownsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. It was a heavily used emigrant trail during the post-Revolutionary War surge in expansion west over the Allegheny Ridge to settle the now safer, now open lands of the Northwest Territory until well into the 1850s as an westward emigrant trail.

The South Side High School in the South Side Flats neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a building from 1897. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.In 1977, South High School won its only City Championship in Football, the first and only in any sport. The school was shut down on 14 August 2004; it would be sold as housing to Gregory Development in 2008 for $1.1 million.

Bedford School, located at 910 Bingham Street in the historic South Side Flats neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places since 1986. According to Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation, it is the oldest public school building still standing within the city of Pittsburgh.
