Brimington

Hollingwood is a small village approximately four miles north east of Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England.

Tinkersick or Tinker Sick is a stream east of Chesterfield, near Brimington in Derbyshire. The stream is an offshoot of the Chesterfield Canal.A breach in the Chesterfield canal in March 2007, caused by the collapse of a culvert carrying the Tinkersick under the canal, forced temporary closure of all but the top pound above Tapton Lock for about six weeks.

The Harry Needle Railroad Company (HNRC) is a railway spot-hire company, based at Barrow Hill Engine Shed in Derbyshire. Prior to 2010 the company also recovered valuable spares from scrapped railway vehicles, either on the vehicle owners site, or at the European Metal Recycling scrapyard in Kingsbury. HNRC was established in 1998. It adopted an orange livery. In 2002 it introduced a yellow, white and black livery.In 2019, HNRC purchased DB Cargo UK's Worksop depot. As at October 2019, this was being used to store withdrawn InterCity 225s and Class 345s awaiting the opening of the Elizabeth line.

Barrow Hill Roundhouse, until 1948 known as Staveley Engine Shed, is a former Midland Railway roundhouse in Barrow Hill, near Staveley and Chesterfield, Derbyshire (grid reference SK413754), now serving as a railway heritage centre.

Inkersall and Inkersall Green (informally referred to by local residents as Inky) are areas of settlement in Derbyshire, England. They are located south of the A619 road, 4 miles (6 km) east of Chesterfield and close to Junction 29a of the M1 Motorway. Inkersall is a town just outside Staveley, which has seen fast development over the last few years. Recent developments include the creation of a small children's park along with the building of an additional convenience shop. Inkersall has two public houses, the Hop Flower and the Double Top. The village is served by a regular bus service, allowing residents to travel to Staveley, Chesterfield and elsewhere. The Trans Pennine Trail passes alongside the village.
