The First National Bank of St. Cloud, Minnesota, United States, is a historic bank building constructed in 1889 and doubled in size around 1918. It was designed by architect Charles Sumner Sedgwick for St. Cloud's first bank, which was established in 1867 and chartered as a national bank in 1882. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 for its local significance in the themes of architecture and commerce. It was nominated for being St. Cloud's "finest designed and best preserved commercial building"—in the words of historian Thomas Harvey—and for its important financial role in the development of St. Cloud and surrounding Stearns County.The building was constructed of red brick with granite trim and cast iron ornamentation. It housed several prominent businesses after First National Bank left in 1925. As of 2018 its tenants include a branch of Kensington Bank and a restaurant.

Veterans Bridge is a steel girder bridge that spans the Mississippi River in St. Cloud, Minnesota, United States. It was built in 1971 and was designed by Howard, Needles, Tammen & Bergendoff. There have been three previous bridges at this location. The first was built in 1867 by the St. Cloud Bridge Company and was a wooden toll bridge. The city bought the bridge in 1887 and rebuilt it with iron and wood. In 1894, the wooden bridge was replaced with a deck truss bridge, which survived until the new bridge was built in 1971.

It was nominated for being one of St. Cloud's finest examples of Queen Anne architecture and for its association with Bensen.The house now operates as the Heritage House Bed & Breakfast.

The 1998 St. Cloud explosion was a gas explosion that occurred in St. Cloud, Minnesota on December 11, 1998. A work crew installing a utility pole support anchor punctured an underground natural gas pipeline, causing the explosion. The blast killed four people, injured 11, destroyed six buildings, and caused an estimated $399,000 in damages. An NTSB report on the incident faulted the safety and emergency practices of Cable Constructors, Inc., whose employees punctured the gas line, and the procedures and training of the St. Cloud fire department for responding to gas leaks.
