Parsons Field

The Dutch House is a historic multi-unit residential building at 20 Netherlands Road in Brookline, Massachusetts. This four-story brick building was originally built as an exhibition hall at the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago, where it served as the Dutch Cocoa House. It is a close copy of the Franeker City Hall in Franeker, Netherlands. The door frame, embellished with stone animals, is a replica of the Enkhuizen Orphanage. The building's interior is highly ornate, with massive ceiling beams and Flemish wooden panels. The original dining room included classic blue and white Delftware tiles, some more than 300 years old. The exterior has a high mansard roof that extends over two floors, and has stepped gables. The windows include more than 12,000 individual lights of leaded green glass.The building was erected at the World's Fair by the Van Houten Cocoa Company, and was one of the few privately built fair buildings to win a medal. After the fair ended, the building was purchased by Brookline resident Charles Brooks Appleton, who had seen it there. The building was dismantled brick by brick and reconstructed at its present location, although some of its brickwork was covered by cement in imitation of stonework. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. Netherlands Road was named in honor of the house. Because it was built by the Netherlands and is a copy of a Dutch building, it is considered one of the finest examples of Dutch High Renaissance styling in the nation.

The James H. Standish House is a historic house located at 54 Francis Street in Brookline, Massachusetts. Built c. 1874–75, the 2+1⁄2-story house and carriage barn are rare surviving examples in Brookline of elaborate Stick style. It has Italianate massing and facade organization, as well as other typically Italianate elements such as a cupola and a bracketed and dentiled cornice. However, it also has applied Stick-style decoration above and below some of its windows.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 17, 1985.

The William Ingersoll Bowditch House is a historic house at 9 Toxteth Street in Brookline, Massachusetts. It is a good example of vernacular Gothic and Greek Revival architecture, built c. 1844-45 as part of one of Brookline's earliest formal residential subdivisions. William Bowditch, the first owner, was an active abolitionist who sheltered fugitive slaves as part of the Underground Railroad, and was a member of the Boston Vigilance Committee. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 17, 1985.

The House at 44 Linden Street in Brookline, Massachusetts, is a little-altered local example of Second Empire styling. The 1+1⁄2-story house was built in 1874 by Solomon Eaton on land that was owned for many years by Thomas Aspinwall Davis. It has classic Second Empire features, including a mansard roof, polygonal bay windows, and brownstone window arches. The only significant alteration is a sunporch on the left side. It was converted into a two-family in 1923.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The House at 53 Linden Street in Brookline, Massachusetts, is a well-preserved local example of transitional Greek Revival-Italianate styling. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built c. 1843–44 by John Faxon. It has a pedimented gable front with pilasters, but is L-shaped and has round-arch windows in its gables, both Italianate features. It is one of four surviving Greek Revival houses in the neighborhood, which was developed beginning in 1840.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Linden Square is a small municipal park at Linden Place in Brookline, Massachusetts, United States. Roughly rectangular in shape with one curved side, Linden Square was laid out in 1844 by Alexander Wadsworth as part of the subdivision of the area by Thomas Aspinwall Davis. Its original pathways consisted of a horseshoe-shaped path flanking its perimeter, and a straight path that bisected the park; it now has paths that form an X, a layout adopted by the late 19th century. The park consists of grassy areas dotted with trees, and surrounded by a wrought iron fence with openings for the paths.The park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Thomas Aspinwall Davis House is a historic house at 29 Linden Place in Brookline, Massachusetts. The house was built in 1844, by Thomas Aspinwall Davis, later a mayor of Boston, and is one of the earliest buildings to survive from his Linden Park project, the first residential subdivision in Brookline. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

12 Linden Street is a historic house located in Brookline, Massachusetts. It is a rare local example of Greek Revival styling, and one of a few houses to survive from the residential development of the Linden Street area in the 1840s.

The Massachusetts Mental Health Center is a historic psychiatric hospital complex at 75 Fenwood Road in the Longwood medical area of Boston, Massachusetts. The center was founded in 1912 as the Boston Psychopathic Hospital. Its original main building and power plant were built that year, with additions in later decades including a therapeutic wing (1954) and research building (1957). The entire property was surrounded by an iron picket fence. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994, representing one of the nation's oldest psychiatric hospitals. In 2009 the center's historic campus at 74 Fenwood Road was acquired by Partners HealthCare and demolished the following year. The center continues to operate in modern facilities at 75 Fenwood Road.
