Majkovec

Sveta Jelena (Croatian pronunciation: [ˈsveta jeˈlena]; English: Saint Helen) is a historic medieval site in Međimurje County, northern Croatia. Originally a distinct settlement, Sveta Jelena is part of the Šenkovec municipality, about two kilometres away from Čakovec to the north. The site is well known for its Pauline monastery of St. Helen and associated facilities. Members of the Zrinski noble family were buried in a mausoleum there. From the whole monastery complex, only the St. Helen's Chapel still exists. The monastery itself was founded by Stephen II Lackfi, Lord of Međimurje and Ban of Croatia, on 27 August 1376 and dedicated to Blessed Virgin Mary and All Saints. After Joseph II, Holy Roman Emperor and the King of Croatia abolished the Paulists' provinces in his Empire on 7 February 1786, the members of the Order left Sveta Jelena. Over time, the monastery complex had to be rebuilt several times after being damaged by disasters such as fires and earthquakes. In particular, a large earthquake in 1880 nearly destroyed the building. Partial archaeological excavations have been carried out recently by the local Međimurje County Museum in Čakovec.

Vrhovec is a settlement (naselje) in the Vrbovec administrative territory of Zagreb County, Croatia. As of 2011 it had a population of 140 people.

The 1976 Zagreb mid-air collision took place on 10 September 1976, when British Airways Flight 476, a Hawker Siddeley Trident en route from London to Istanbul, collided mid-air with Inex-Adria Aviopromet Flight 550, a McDonnell Douglas DC-9 en route from Split, SFR Yugoslavia, to Cologne, West Germany, near Zagreb in modern-day Croatia. The collision was the result of a procedural error on the part of air traffic controllers in Zagreb. All 176 people aboard the two aircraft were killed,: 8 : 5–6  making it the world's deadliest mid-air collision at the time. It remains the deadliest aviation accident in Yugoslav and Croatian history. This is also the only British Airways accident to result in fatalities.

Sveta Helena (often abbreviated Sv. Helena) is a naselje (settlement) in the town of Sveti Ivan Zelina in Zagreb County, Croatia, population 366 (2011 census). It is best known for the highway interchange of A4 highway and D10 expressway it houses. A highway node where in December 2008 Outlet center Sveta Helena was open and after two years shut down.
