Brenchley Wood

Matfield House is a Grade I listed Georgian house in the village of Matfield, Kent, England.The house was built in 1728 in the Queen Anne style for Thomas Marchant, a yeoman farmer from Horsmonden and his heiress wife Mary. It is constructed in two storeys of pink and red brick in Flemish bond overlooking the Matfield village green. The associated stable block is also Grade I listed. One of a group of buildings forming a stable courtyard, it is surmounted by an impressive clock turret and cupola. The other stable building is listed Grade II*, as is the coachhouse and the nearby Matfield House Cottages.The cricketer Frank Marchant, captain of Kent County Cricket Club from 1890 until 1897, was born in the house in 1864.

Foal Hurst Wood is a 12.9-hectare (32-acre) Local Nature Reserve on the south-western outskirts of Paddock Wood in Kent. It is owned by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and managed by Paddock Wood Town Council.This site is mainly coppiced woodland and there is grassland at the northern end. Birds include green and great spotted woodpeckers, and there are flora such as orchids.There is access from Badsell Road.

The Church of St Thomas à Becket is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Capel, Kent, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. Capel is located 4 miles (6 km) east of Tonbridge, off the B2017 road. It is said that Thomas Becket preached either in the church, or under a yew tree in the churchyard.

Capel is a hamlet and civil parish in the borough of Tunbridge Wells in Kent, England. The parish is located on the north of the Weald, 3 miles (4.8 km) to the east of Tonbridge. Five Oak Green is a village near Tonbridge, Kent in the Civil Parish of Capel. The village was a centre for hop growing. In the 19th century, The Rose and Crown public house was converted to a hospital to treat the many hop pickers who resided in the village and its surroundings in the late summer. The public house was renamed "The Little Hoppers' Hospital" by a London priest, Richard Wilson, who added to the house's sign "No beer sold here", so no one should have any doubt of its changed role. The village oast house, the Moat Farm Oast, has been converted and now houses a number of businesses.

Brookland Wood is a 10.9-hectare (27-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Tunbridge Wells in Kent.This site has diverse types of woodland and ground flora. Alder is dominant in wet areas and hazel, ash and field maple in drier ones. Small streams have a variety of mosses and liverworts.A public footpath goes through the wood.
