Capel is a hamlet and civil parish in the borough of Tunbridge Wells in Kent, England. The parish is located on the north of the Weald, 3 miles (4.8 km) to the east of Tonbridge. The southern part of the parish lies within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, whilst most of the land also falls within the Metropolitan Green Belt. As well as Capel itself, the parish includes the communities of Castle Hill, Colts Hill, Five Oak Green, Postern, Tudeley and Whetsted.

Five Oak Green is a village near Tonbridge, Kent in the Civil Parish of Capel. The village was a centre for hop growing. In the 19th century, The Rose and Crown public house was converted to a hospital to treat the many hop pickers who resided in the village and its surroundings in the late summer. The public house was renamed "The Little Hoppers' Hospital" by a London priest, Richard Wilson, who added to the house's sign "No beer sold here", so no one should have any doubt of its changed role. The village oast house, the Moat Farm Oast, has been converted and now houses a number of businesses.

Tudeley is a village in the civil parish of Capel, in the Tunbridge Wells borough of Kent, England. The village is home to All Saints' Church, the only church in the world that has all its windows in stained glass designed by Marc Chagall. The East window was commissioned by Sir Henry and Lady D'Avigdor-Goldsmid in memory of their daughter Sarah, who died aged 21 in a boating accident in 1963. The other windows were added later, the final ones being installed in 1985, the year of Chagall's death. Today the church also hosts the Tudeley Festival, an Early Music event which has been running since 1985.In 1881 the civil parish had a population of 549. On 25 March 1885 the parish was abolished and merged with Capel.Somerhill House, which houses The Schools at Somerhill, lies within the bounds of Tudeley.

Brenchley Wood is a 15-hectare (37-acre) nature reserve south of Paddock Wood in Kent. It is managed by the Kent Wildlife Trust, and it is part of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.This ancient wood is dominated by mature beech and oak trees, with birds such as nightingales and tawny owls. A former pine plantation in the north of the site is now being restored to heathland.There is access at the junction of Romford Road and Foxhole Lane.

The Hartlake disaster was an accident in Kent, England, that resulted in the death of 30 hop-pickers on 20 October 1853.

Foal Hurst Wood is a 12.9-hectare (32-acre) Local Nature Reserve on the south-western outskirts of Paddock Wood in Kent. It is owned by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and managed by Paddock Wood Town Council.This site is mainly coppiced woodland and there is grassland at the northern end. Birds include green and great spotted woodpeckers, and there are flora such as orchids.There is access from Badsell Road.

Matfield House is a Grade I listed Georgian house in the village of Matfield, Kent, England.The house was built in 1728 in the Queen Anne style for Thomas Marchant, a yeoman farmer from Horsmonden and his heiress wife Mary. It is constructed in two storeys of pink and red brick in Flemish bond overlooking the Matfield village green. The associated stable block is also Grade I listed. One of a group of buildings forming a stable courtyard, it is surmounted by an impressive clock turret and cupola. The other stable building is listed Grade II*, as is the coachhouse and the nearby Matfield House Cottages.The cricketer Frank Marchant, captain of Kent County Cricket Club from 1890 until 1897, was born in the house in 1864.
