Elstal (German: Bahnhof Elstal) is a railway station located in Wustermark, Germany. The station is located on the Berlin-Lehrte Railway. The train services are operated by Deutsche Bahn and Ostdeutsche Eisenbahn (ODEG). Next to the station is a large goods yard, including two former turntables.

Schloss Marquardt is a palace located 15 km northwest from downtown Potsdam, in the neighbourhood Marquardt. The palace has been used for different purposes, such as summer or winter residence of nobility and upper-class people, hotel, hospital, and university. Currently the building is used for events, such as weddings and gastronomy, and also as a filming location (notably for Spencer and The Book Thief).

Pan Am Flight 708 (PA 708) was a cargo flight that crashed on initial approach less than 10 mi (16 km) west-southwest of its destination airport, Berlin Tegel in Germany, in the early morning hours of November 15, 1966. The flight was operated by a Pan American World Airways (Pan Am) Boeing 727-21, registration N317PA, name Clipper München, routing from Frankfurt Airport. All three crew members perished. The cause was undetermined because US investigators were not allowed to survey the impact site near Dallgow in what was then East Germany, and only half of the aircraft remains were returned by Soviet military authorities in East Germany to their US counterparts in former West Berlin.

The Döberitzer Heide is an approximately 5000-hectare area in the Havelland region, part of the southeastern Nauen Plateau. The area mainly consists of the former Döberitz military training area, which has been designated as nature reserves and hosts a wilderness project by The Heinz Sielmann Foundation covering about 3600 hectares, unique in Europe. The heathland is located west of the Berlin city border and south of the Bundesstraße 5 between Dallgow-Döberitz and the district of Seeburg as well as the Wustermark districts of Elstal and Priort. A small part in the southwest lies within Potsdam territory.

The Döberitz military training area (German: Truppenübungsplatz Döberitz or Heeresschule Döberitz), was a major military training area near Dallgow-Döberitz, in Brandenburg to the west of Berlin. Döberitz was one of the largest training areas in Germany. The area was used for more than 300 years. until 1992 by the Prussian Army, the Reichswehr and the Wehrmacht as well as the Soviet occupation forces. The area was used for troop training of the army, for non-commissioned officer and officer training, from 1910 also the training of pilots, for testing new aircraft, and in the 1930s as a training area for motor vehicles.

Fahrlander See is a lake at Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany. At an elevation of 29.4 m, its surface area is 2.105 km². The Sacrow–Paretz Canal flows through the lake.
