Leicester High School for Girls also known as 'LHS' is an independent day school for girls aged 3–18 situated in South Knighton, Leicester. It was originally a coeducational school but is now an all-girls school.

Lucas Marsh is a 1.5 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Oadby in Leicestershire. It is part of Brock's Hill Country Park, and is owned by Oadby and Wigston Borough Council and managed by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust.The marsh is dominated by greater willowherb and common reed, while there are also areas of rough grassland, a hedge, trees and scrub. Butterflies include small tortoiseshell, speckled wood, peacock and orange tip.There is access by a footpath from Washbrook Lane.

Oadby is a town in the borough of Oadby and Wigston in Leicestershire, England. Oadby is a district centre 4 miles (6.4 km) south-east of Leicester on the A6 road. Leicester Racecourse is situated on the border between Oadby and Stoneygate. The University of Leicester Botanical Garden is in Oadby. Oadby had a population of 23,849 in 2011, and like its neighbour Wigston is made up of five wards. The Borough of Oadby and Wigston is twinned with Maromme in France, and Norderstedt in Germany.

Knighton Spinney is a 2.9-hectare (7.2-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Leicester. It is owned by Leicester City Council and managed by Environ for the council.This oak and ash plantation is part of Knighton Park. Flora include wood anemones, and there are birds such as nuthatches, treecreepers and great spotted woodpeckers.The site is closed to the public apart from on occasional open days.

Evington Valley is an area in Leicester, England. It is roughly bounded by East Park Road to the west (west of which is Highfields), Chesterfield/Ethel Road to the north (north of which is North Evington), Wakerly Road to the east (east of which is Evington village) and to the south borders Stoneygate. The population of the area falls within the Evington ward of Leicester City Council.

Umar Mosque is a mosque in Evington, Leicester, England. The building was completed in 2000. The building is named after the 2nd Caliph and companion of the Holy Messenger of Allah Muhammad Sallallahu ‘alaihi Wa Salam

The Clarendon Park Congregational Church is a Congregational church in Leicester, Leicestershire, UK. It is located on London Road in the Stoneygate district near Clarendon Park.Among the many places of worship in Leicester are Congregational churches. The first Congregational church in Leicester was founded in 1801. Numerous others were built in the 19th century. The Clarendon Park Congregational Church was designed by James Tait (1834-1915) and built in 1886. It is built of granite rubble with ashlar dressings and a roof of red tiles. It was designated a Grade II listed building (13613930) in 1975.The church is part of the Congregational Federation.

Madani Schools Federation is a Muslim secondary school in Leicester, England. Based in the Evington neighbourhood, Madani Schools Federation caters for the city's Muslim population, with 300 places for boys and girls each. The building itself, designed by Leicester firm Pick Everard with an Islamic design including an Arabic-style courtyard. There is also an associated community centre and madrassa. The school has also won architectural awards including the Community Benefit award in the regional finals of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors awards in May 2008 and competed in the international finals in the autumn. It is the first state funded Muslim school in the East-Midlands, as 90% of the £18m came from the government, with the Muslim community in Leicester raising the rest. The school has received much press attention as a Muslim secondary school where it is held up as a model for faith schools.
