Ostružnica railway station

Ostružnica (Serbian Cyrillic: Остружница) is a suburban settlement of Belgrade, Serbia, in the municipality of Čukarica. It has a population of 4,218 people (2011).

Ostružnica Bridge is a six-lane girder bridge carrying the Belgrade bypass over the Sava at Ostružnica.

Pećani (Serbian Cyrillic: Пећани) is an urban settlement of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in the municipality of Čukarica. Pećani is located 3 km south of Ostružnica, in central part of the Čukarica municipality. It is the second least populated settlement in the municipality, with a population of 562 as of 2011 census, and despite being small and depopulating (population of 632 in 1991), it is statistically classified as an urban settlement (town). There are two karstic caves near the town, called Donja Pećina and Gornja Pećina ("upper cave" and "lower cave").In July 2023 city announced plans for massive urbanization of the Velika Moštanica-Pećani area, which would triple their combined population to 9,750.

Železnik (Serbian Cyrillic: Железник, pronounced [ʒě̞le̞zniːk]) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Čukarica.

The Archive of Serbia (Serbian: Архив Србије / Arhiv Srbije), is the national archive of Serbia, located in Belgrade. It houses and protects documents and other archival materials produced by state bodies and organizations of Serbia before 1918 (before Serbia became part of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia) and documents produced during and after World War II (when Serbia was federal subject within Communist Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro). Documents dating from the period when Serbia was part of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and documents produced by the state bodies and organizations of Yugoslavia from 1918 to 2006 are kept in the Archives of Yugoslavia, also in Belgrade.

Belgrade marshalling yard (Serbian: Ранжирна железничка станица Београд) or Makiš railway station (Железничка станица Макиш-Ранжирна), or Makiš freight station, is a classification yard of the Belgrade railway junction and the largest railway station in Serbia. It is located in the neighbourhood of Makiš in Čukarica of Belgrade. The railroad continues to Ostružnica in one line via park A, in the other direction to Ostružnica via park B, in third direction to Resnik via junction B near Železnik and junction K of Belgrade railway junction near Petlovo Brdo, in fourth direction to Resnik via junction R in the tunnel below Vidikovac and junction A near Kneževac, in the fifth direction to Rakovica via park B and junction R, in the sixth direction to Rakovica via park A and junction T, in the seventh direction to Rakovica via park B and junction T per second line and the eight towards direction to Jajinci. Belgrade marshalling yard consists of 120 railway tracks.

Makiš (Serbian: Макиш) is a forest and an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Čukarica.

Železnik Hall (Serbian: Дворана Железник, romanized: Dvorana Železnik) is a basketball arena in Belgrade, Serbia. The arena is currently used as a home arena to the KK FMP Beograd of the Basketball League of Serbia and the Adriatic League. The basketball arena has three levels and the area of 4,500 square metres. With various associate structures it represents a modern sports and business complex. Apart from the seating capacity of 1,700, there is a hydromassage block, specialized medical diagnostic centre and a modern gym of 200 square metres. The arena has scenic illumination and loudspeakers of 6 kW. The arena got new premises, trophy hall, press hall with a capacity for 40 people and a hotel with an area of 1,000 square metres for the accommodation of basketball players.

Umka (Serbian Cyrillic: Умка) is a suburban settlement of Belgrade, Serbia. It is located in the municipality of Čukarica. The settlement is notorious for the soil creep, so much that the apocryphal classified "Home for sale [in Umka], low mileage" entered the colloquial language.

Rupčine (Serbian Cyrillic: Рупчине) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Čukarica. Rupčine is actually the southwesternmost part of the Žarkovo neighborhood, bordered by Bele Vode to the north, Cerak Vinogradi (that is, Ibarska Magistrala road) to the east, and the Vodovodska Street and Makiš to the west. On the south, Rupčine borders with the open fields of Stari Lanci and Novi Lanci, which stretch all the way to Železnik. Quite contrary to its eastern bordering neighborhood, Cerak Vinogradi, Rupčine is not built according to urban plans and is highly unattractive in either urban, visual or sense of communal order. Atop of all that, it has quite unattractive name too (rupčine, Serbian for big holes).

Velika Moštanica (Serbian Cyrillic: Велика Моштаница) is a suburban settlement of Belgrade, Serbia. It is located in the municipality of Čukarica.

The Institute of Mental Health in Belgrade (Serbian: Институт за ментално здравље / Institut za mentalno zdravlje), established in 1963, is the first social-psychiatric institution in Southeast Europe. It is a tertiary care institution that specializes in the fields of psychiatry, addiction diseases, clinical psychology, epileptic medicine, clinical neurophysiology, psycho-pharmacology, psycho-therapy and mental illness. Treatment is based on the concepts of social psychiatry with the goal of rehabilitation and re-socialization of patients. The Institute serves as a teaching facility for the Belgrade Medical School and several other schools in Belgrade. On 18 November 2009, the Institute of Mental Health received a nomination to be inducted into the WHO Collaborative Centre for Mental Health Care by Serbian Minister of Health, Tomica Milosavljević. This nomination was approved by WHO. Belgrade's Institute of Mental Health also publishes pertinent articles on behalf of the World Health Organization.The Director of Institute is Sc.D. Dušica Lečić Toševski. The Assistant Director is Doctor Smiljka Popović Deušić.
