Wallingford is a town in Rutland County, Vermont, United States. The population was 2,129 at the 2020 census. Wallingford also contains the villages of East Wallingford and South Wallingford.

Laurel Hall and the Laurel Glen Mausoleum form a historic estate property on Vermont Route 103 in Shrewsbury, Vermont. Built between 1880 and 1882, the estate includes examples of high style Queen Anne architecture in the main house and some outbuildings, and includes a distinctive Egyptian Revival mausoleum, all built by John Porter Bowman, a prominent local businessman. The properties were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The Hager Farm is a historic farmstead on United States Route 7 in southern Wallingford, Vermont. Its farmhouse, built about 1800, is one of the oldest in the community, and is regionally unusual because of its gambrel roof. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Hulett Farm is a historic farmstead on United States Route 7 in Wallingford, Vermont. Its principal surviving element is a c. 1810 Federal period farmhouse, which is one of the oldest surviving farmhouses in rural southern Wallingford. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The General Robinson Hall House is a historic house at 3144 United States Route 7 in southern Wallingford, Vermont. Built in 1830, it is the surviving one of two nearly identical brick houses in this area, both built for members of the locally prominent Munson family. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Anthony Scoville House, also known as Corbu, is a historic house at 905 Dawley Road in Mount Holly, Vermont. Built between 1964 and 1968, it is a distinctive local example of the International Style of architecture, designed by architect Anthony Scoville for his own year-round use. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. In early 2016, it was for sale.

Robert T. Stafford White Rocks National Recreation Area is a United States National Recreation Area located in southern Vermont, United States, within the Green Mountain National Forest. Both the Peru Peak Wilderness and the Big Branch Wilderness areas are within the recreation area. The White Rocks National Recreation Area was created by the Vermont Wilderness Act of 1984. On January 17, 2006 President George W. Bush signed Pub. L.Tooltip Public Law (United States) 110–1 (text) (PDF), which renamed the park to the Robert T. Stafford White Rocks National Recreation Area, after Robert Stafford, former Governor of Vermont, United States Representative, and U.S. Senator.Recreational activities include camping and hiking on a 30-mile (48 kilometer) section of the Appalachian Trail that traverses the recreation area. There are also 61 miles (97.6 kilometers) of maintained snowmobile trails within the recreation area. Chaos Canyon is a cleft in a giant quartzite rockslide in the Area.

Mill River Union High School, commonly known as Mill River or MRU is a public junior-senior high school in Clarendon, Vermont, in the United States. It is part of the Mill River Unified Union School District. MRUUSD includes the towns of Clarendon, Wallingford, Shrewsbury and Tinmouth. Other towns whose students attend Mill River include Ira, Ludlow, Middletown Springs and Danby. The current principal is Kaelyne Thompson. The current superintendent of the district is Brian Hill.

The Brown Covered Bridge is a wooden covered bridge in Shrewsbury, Vermont. Located in the northwestern part of the town, it carries Upper Cold River Road over the Cold River. It was closed to vehicular traffic in 2011 due to damage from Hurricane Irene and reopened on July 5, 2016. Built in 1880 by noted Vermont bridgewright Nichols M. Powers, it was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2014, cited as one of the finest and least-altered examples of a Town lattice truss covered bridge in the United States.
