Hulett Farm

The Hager Farm is a historic farmstead on United States Route 7 in southern Wallingford, Vermont. Its farmhouse, built about 1800, is one of the oldest in the community, and is regionally unusual because of its gambrel roof. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The General Robinson Hall House is a historic house at 3144 United States Route 7 in southern Wallingford, Vermont. Built in 1830, it is the surviving one of two nearly identical brick houses in this area, both built for members of the locally prominent Munson family. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Wallingford is a town in Rutland County, Vermont, United States. The population was 2,129 at the 2020 census. Wallingford also contains the villages of East Wallingford and South Wallingford.

The Rutland-3 Representative District is a one-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Rutland-3 District includes all of the Rutland County towns of Shrewsbury, Tinmouth, and Wallingford. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The one member Rutland-3 District had a population of 3,949 in that same census, 2.71% below the state average.

Robert T. Stafford White Rocks National Recreation Area is a United States National Recreation Area located in southern Vermont, United States, within the Green Mountain National Forest. Both the Peru Peak Wilderness and the Big Branch Wilderness areas are within the recreation area. The White Rocks National Recreation Area was created by the Vermont Wilderness Act of 1984. On January 17, 2006 President George W. Bush signed Pub. L.Tooltip Public Law (United States) 110–1 (text) (PDF), which renamed the park to the Robert T. Stafford White Rocks National Recreation Area, after Robert Stafford, former Governor of Vermont, United States Representative, and U.S. Senator.Recreational activities include camping and hiking on a 30-mile (48 kilometer) section of the Appalachian Trail that traverses the recreation area. There are also 61 miles (97.6 kilometers) of maintained snowmobile trails within the recreation area. Chaos Canyon is a cleft in a giant quartzite rockslide in the Area.

Clarendon spans U.S. Route 7 and is split by the highway, the Cold River and Mill River, Otter Creek, and the Green Mountains into the hamlets of Clarendon, West Clarendon, East Clarendon, Clarendon Springs, and North Clarendon

Situated in North Clarendon, it was formerly known as Rutland State Airport. Scheduled commercial service is subsidized by the Essential Air Service and provided by Cape Air, with three flights daily on eleven-passenger Tecnam P2012 Traveller aircraft to Boston with typical flight times of 40 minutes.Rutland–Southern Vermont Regional Airport is the closest commercial service airport to the mountain resorts of Killington, Pico, Okemo, Stratton, Bromley, Magic Mountain, and Mount Snow .

Mill River Union High School, commonly known as Mill River or MRU is a public junior-senior high school in Clarendon, Vermont, in the United States. It is part of the Mill River Unified Union School District. MRUUSD includes the towns of Clarendon, Wallingford, Shrewsbury and Tinmouth. Other towns whose students attend Mill River include Ira, Ludlow, Middletown Springs and Danby. The current principal is Kaelyne Thompson. The current superintendent of the district is Brian Hill.

The Clarendon House is a historic former hotel building on Clarendon Springs Lane in Clarendon, Vermont. Built about 1835 and enlarged in the 1850s, it is one of Vermont's finest examples of pre-Civil War resort architecture, and a rare little-altered survivor of that period. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It and adjacent buildings are (as of 2015) vacant and for sale.

Cuttingsville is an unincorporated village in the town of Shrewsbury, Rutland County, Vermont, United States. The community is located along Vermont Route 103 and the Mill River 9.5 miles (15.3 km) south-southeast of Rutland. Cuttingsville has a post office with ZIP code 05738.

Laurel Hall and the Laurel Glen Mausoleum form a historic estate property on Vermont Route 103 in Shrewsbury, Vermont. Built between 1880 and 1882, the estate includes examples of high style Queen Anne architecture in the main house and some outbuildings, and includes a distinctive Egyptian Revival mausoleum, all built by John Porter Bowman, a prominent local businessman. The properties were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Dorset Mountain, on the border of Rutland and Bennington counties in Vermont, is part of the Taconic Range. The summit of Dorset Mountain is in Danby. An unmaintained hiking trail ascends from the southwest. Dorset Mountain was the site of an unsuccessfully proposed alpine ski resort project in the 1960s. Dorset Mountain is flanked to the south by Netop Mountain, Dorset Hill, and Mount Aeolus; to the west by The Scallop; to the northwest by Woodlawn Mountain; and to the southwest by Spruce Peak and The Gallop, subordinate peaks on the combined northern ridge of Bear Mountain and Mother Myrick Mountain. All of these mountains are of the Taconic Range. To the east, Dorset Mountain is flanked by Peru Peak and Styles Peak of the Green Mountains. The east face of Dorset Mtn. drains into the upper part of Otter Creek, thence into Lake Champlain, and ultimately into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence in Canada. The northern slopes of Dorset Mtn. drain into Mill Brook, thence into Otter Creek. The southwestern slopes drain into the Mettawee River, and thence into the south bay of Lake Champlain. The southeastern extension of Dorset's massif drains into Batten Kill, thence into the Hudson River, and into New York Harbor.
