Kingsley Covered Bridge

The Kingsley Grist Mill Historic District encompasses a well-preserved small late 19th-century mill complex with surviving 18th-century remnants a Gorge and East Roads in Clarendon, Vermont. The complex includes a house, barn, mill and other outbuildings, and the nearby Kingsley Covered Bridge. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

The East Clarendon Railroad Station is a historic railroad station at 212 Vermont Route 103 in Clarendon, Vermont. Built in 1916 by the Rutland Railroad and in service for 35 years, it is a well-preserved reminder of the importance of the railroad through the area. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. It presently houses a restaurant.

Scheduled commercial service is subsidized by the Essential Air Service and provided by Cape Air, with three flights daily on eleven-passenger Tecnam P2012 Traveller aircraft to Boston with typical flight times of 40 minutes.Rutland–Southern Vermont Regional Airport is the closest commercial service airport to the mountain resorts of Killington, Pico, Okemo, Stratton, Bromley, Magic Mountain, and Mount Snow .

Lower Clarendon Gorge State Forest, also known as Lower Clarendon Gorge State Park, covers 73 acres (0.30 km2) around Lower Clarendon Gorge on Mill River in Clarendon, Vermont. The site was donated to the state by the Vermont River Conservancy in the 2000s. There are hiking trails along the scenic gorge and a pedestrian bridge.

The Clarendon Congregational Church (also known as the Old Brick Church and the Brick Church at Clarendon) is a historic church building at 298 Middle Road in Clarendon, Vermont. Built in 1824 and modified with Gothic features in the 1880s, it is a well-preserved 19th-century brick church. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The present minister is Rev. Bill Kingsley.

Mill River Union High School, commonly known as Mill River or MRU is a public junior-senior high school in Clarendon, Vermont, in the United States. It is part of the Mill River Unified Union School District. MRUUSD includes the towns of Clarendon, Wallingford, Shrewsbury and Tinmouth. Other towns whose students attend Mill River include Ira, Ludlow, Middletown Springs and Danby. The current principal is Kaelyne Thompson. The current superintendent of the district is Brian Hill.

The Brown Covered Bridge is a wooden covered bridge in Shrewsbury, Vermont. Located in the northwestern part of the town, it carries Upper Cold River Road over the Cold River. It was closed to vehicular traffic in 2011 due to damage from Hurricane Irene and reopened on July 5, 2016. Built in 1880 by noted Vermont bridgewright Nichols M. Powers, it was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2014, cited as one of the finest and least-altered examples of a Town lattice truss covered bridge in the United States.

North Clarendon is an unincorporated village in the town of Clarendon, Rutland County, Vermont, United States. It is part of the North Clarendon Census Designated Place, which extends north along U.S. Route 7 into the town of Rutland. The village is located south of the Cold River, 3 miles (5 km) south of Rutland city. North Clarendon has a post office with ZIP code 05759.

The Cold River Bridge was a historic bridge that carried Vermont Route 7B (VT 7B) across the Cold River in Clarendon, Vermont. The bridge, a steel Parker through truss, was built by the American Bridge Company in 1928, and was one of many bridges built in the state in the wake of devastating 1927 floods. It carried U.S. Route 7 (US 7) until bypassed by a bridge to the east, and was closed in 1989. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. It was subsequently demolished after a report noting substantial failures.

The Cold River is a 12.9-mile-long (20.8 km) tributary of Otter Creek in Rutland County, Vermont, in the United States. The Cold River rises northeast of North Shrewsbury in the Coolidge Range, part of the Green Mountains. It flows southwest through North Shrewsbury, then turns northwest to the town line with Clarendon, where it turns west and flows through the village of North Clarendon. It reaches Otter Creek 1 mile (2 km) west of North Clarendon, just north of the Rutland town line. The Cold River is crossed by the Appalachian Trail and by U.S. Route 7.
