Al-Hijrah School was a voluntary-aided Islamic all-through school based in the Bordesley Green area of Birmingham, England. It was a specialist Science College with 767 pupils aged 4–16. It closed 31 August 2019.

Bordesley Green Girls' School is a secondary school and sixth form located in the Bordesley Green area of Birmingham, in the West Midlands of England.The school was previously "Arden Upper School" and before that it was "Bordesley Green Grammar Technical School for Boys" which had a long history having started as a Boys' Technical School in 1936. Much of the original building still exists, having a central quadrangle surrounded by three classroom corridors and one admin corridor. Separate Metalwork and Art workshops have been demolished. Today, it is a community school administered by Birmingham City Council. Bordesley Green Girls' School offers GCSEs, BTECs and OCR Nationals as programmes of study for pupils, while girls in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A-levels and further BTECs.

Adderley Park is an area in the east of Birmingham, England. Charles Adderley MP donated 10 acres (4.0 ha) of land to create the park, which he managed privately from 1855 to 1864. The park was opened to the public on 30 August 1856. At the park's entrance were buildings housing a library, reading room and museum. The buildings have since been demolished. The area is served by Adderley Park railway station.

In 2013, it became an academy school, which means it receives its funding directly from the central rather than local government, in contrast with a community school. The government authority Ofsted found that the school maintained high standards in inspections in 2016 and 2019. In 2019 98% of the students were Muslim.

It is now operated by Motor Racing Live Ltd.

The City of Birmingham Stadium was a proposed multi-purpose stadium in the Saltley area of Birmingham, England, originally for Warwickshire County Cricket Club and Birmingham City F.C. to replace the current Edgbaston Cricket Ground and St Andrew's Stadium respectively. The cricket club cancelled these plans however, and only the football club remained interested. The original proposal was the centrepiece of a larger scheme to create a £300 million sports village on a 60-acre (240,000 m2) site.The proposal was for a 55,000-seat arena was to be part-funded by Las Vegas Sands, but the hopes of securing a licence for a super casino on site were rejected and Birmingham City F.C. were then unable to proceed with the plans for the stadium.

Saltley is an inner-city area of Birmingham, east of the city centre. The area is part of the Washwood Heath ward, and was previously part of the Nechells ward. It is part of the Ladywood constituency in the city.

Saltley TMD was a traction maintenance depot located in Saltley, Birmingham, England. The depot was situated on the east side of the line between Birmingham New Street and Water Orton, and was near Saltley station until the station closed in 1968. The depot code was SY.

Rockwood Academy (formerly Park View School) is a mixed secondary school located in Alum Rock, Birmingham. A medium-sized academy that serves the inner city area of Birmingham, it is a popular choice with parents, with many coming from the immediate area with almost all students in walking distance to the academy. The academy is rated as 'Good' by Ofsted in 2016 and the academy was highly commended for its rapid success with high praise coming from the National Schools Commissioner Sir David Carter and Chief Inspector of Schools Sir Michael Wilshaw. The academy is sponsored by CORE Education Trust. In 2016, the School was in the top 20% nationally for progress made by its pupils between their key stage 2 SATs results at primary school and their key stage 4 GCSE results as measured by Specialist Schools Trust (SSAT). In 2017, the School was in the top 2% highest performing schools in the country.

Darul Barakaat Mosque ("Abode of Blessings" in English) is a large mosque in Bordesley, Birmingham, England. It is run by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and was inaugurated by Mirza Masroor Ahmad in 2004.
