Dry Creek Power Station

Tube Mills railway station was a station on the Gawler line located in the inner northern Adelaide, suburb of Kilburn. It was located approximately 8.4 kilometres from Adelaide station, and was demolished in the late 1980s. The British Tube Mills (later Tubemakers) factory was located adjacent and the station could only be accessed from the factory. Trains were scheduled to stop at Tube Mills for shift changes, but outside these times, some trains were timetabled to stop at Tube Mills on request. The British Tube Mills works were served by rail. Rail access to the works was via the Up North Main only, meaning trains either had to come from Dry Creek and shunt into the works or work "wrong line" from Islington. The British Tube Mills works were originally located on both sides of Churchill Road. Rail access to the eastern works was provided via a level crossing over Churchill Road. The level crossing has long since been removed, but evidence of it is still visible.

Kilburn railway station is located on the Gawler line.in 1920 it was painted green for a short time. The station is situated in the inner northern Adelaide suburb of Kilburn, it is 7.7 kilometres (4.8 mi) from Adelaide station.

Jack Watkins Reserve is a park in the Australian state of South Australia situated adjacent to the Islington Railway Workshops in the suburb of Kilburn within the local government area of City of Port Adelaide Enfield. The park was named after Jack Watkins, a union organiser and former president of The Asbestos Diseases Society of South Australia who successfully lobbied to remove asbestos and other toxic contaminants from the railway site and adjacent properties. The park was opened in late August 2003 as a tribute to the large number of former railway workers who succumbed to asbestos-related diseases while working at the yard.The park contains a memorial walkway leading to a central memorial featuring four pillars, inscribed Tough Times, Strength, mates and ratbags. The park also contains a playground, public murals, barbecue facilities and a dog park. A memorial service is held each year in the park on 24 November to honour the victims of asbestos related disease.On 25 November 2016, the day after Asbestos Victims Memorial Day, the park was shut indefinitely due to eight pieces of asbestos being found, risking a health hazard to members of the public. Mayor Gary Johanson stated that "someone deliberately went and seeded the reserve with asbestos particles". The park has since been decontaminated and reopened while a full investigation is underway

Dry Creek is a mostly industrial suburb north of Adelaide, containing significant wetlands and a substantial area formerly devoted to salt crystallisation pans, managed by Ridley Corporation, which planned to redevelop the site for housing. This plan, first put forward in 2008, was revived in 2013, for a proposed 10,000 homes. Salt production ceased in 2014, and in 2016 Ridley Corporation sold the land to Adelaide Resource Recovery.

Radio Italiana 531 is one of Adelaide, Australia's two "on band" dedicated non-English language commercial radio services. Radio Italiana 531 broadcasts an Adelaide-based Italian language radio service.The radio station was established in the 1990s, and commenced transmissions under an Australian Broadcasting Authority Temporary Community Broadcasting Licence (TCBL). The broadcasts on 92.9 FM were time shared with youth/dance community radio station Fresh FM, and in the licensing process both organisations applied for the full-time permanent FM broadcasting licence. While Fresh FM was ultimately successful in gaining its licence and moving frequency to 92.7, this left the Italian Language station without a frequency. In the months following the grant of the FM community licence to Fresh FM, an additional AM licence became available. This licence was to be issued on a frequency which became available upon the previous licensee 5UV (Radio Adelaide) moving to an FM frequency. 531AM was auctioned by the Australian Broadcasting Authority for use as a narrowcast service, and the final and successful bid was won by Radio Televisione Italiana (SA) Inc, and the station is licensed as 5RTI.

The Islington Sewage Farm (also known as Tam O'Shanter Sewage Farm) was a sewerage treatment facility located at Tam O'Shanter Belt/Islington (now Regency Park) in South Australia, which operated from 1881 until 1966. According to a 1996 heritage survey by the City of Enfield Islington Sewage Farm was claimed to be Australia's earliest "water borne waste disposal treatment system".

Regency Park is an inner-northern suburb of Adelaide, 6 km from the City Centre, in the state of South Australia, Australia. It is located in the City of Port Adelaide Enfield, and is adjacent to Wingfield, Angle Park, Ferryden Park, Kilburn, Prospect, Dudley Park and Croydon Park. It is bounded to the north by Grand Junction Road, east by the Gawler railway line, south by Regency Road and to the west by Days and South Roads. The postcode for Regency Park is 5010. Regency Park is essentially an industrial suburb, consisting of factories, but primarily industrial warehouses. Its streets are dominated by semitrailers.

Port Wakefield Road and Port Wakefield Highway are an important South Australian highway. They connect Adelaide to the Yorke Peninsula, Port Augusta, northern and western South Australia, the Northern Territory and Western Australia. They are designated National Highway A1 and a part of the National Highway. They are named after Port Wakefield, the first government town north of Adelaide. Historically, the whole route was named Port Wakefield Road, however following the opening of the Northern Expressway, the route north of that junction was named Port Wakefield Highway.

Wingfield is a suburb situated north of Adelaide. It lies between the Port River Expressway on the north and Grand Junction Road on the south. The suburb borders Dry Creek to its north and east, bounded by the Gawler railway line and Adelaide-Port Augusta railway line on the east. The North-South Motorway and Dry Creek-Port Adelaide railway line both cross the suburb. Wingfield is named after R. W. Wingfield, the private secretary to Governor of South Australia, William Jervois.

The Dry Creek explosives depot was a secure storage facility near Port Adelaide from 1906 to 1995, serving the construction, mining and quarrying industries of South Australia, as well as the mines of Broken Hill in New South Wales.

The City of Enfield (formerly District Council of Yatala South) was a local government area of South Australia from 1868 to 1996. It was known as Yatala South up until 1933, which was named for its local government area predecessor, the District Council of Yatala, and known as Enfield thereafter. The seat of the City of Enfield was the township of Enfield, approximately 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) north of the Adelaide central business district, named after Enfield Town in the London borough of same name. In 1868, the council area ranged approximately from Dry Creek in the north to the River Torrens in the south east and Torrens Road (unrelated to the river) in the south west.
