The Salisbury Highway (part of Route A9, previously Route A13 / National Highway A13) is a 12 kilometre major connecting road in the northern suburbs of the Adelaide metropolitan area. Salisbury Highway is dual carriageway in its entirety. It starts as Route A9 (formerly A13 until May 2017) in Elizabeth Vale as John Rice Avenue. Past the suburb of Salisbury it takes on its Salisbury Highway name. It then runs parallel to Main North Road (Route A20) and crosses over Kings Road (Route A18). At Port Wakefield Road (National Highway A1), it previously changed status to National Highway A13 (now A9 right through) before ending at the intersection of the Port River Expressway and South Road. Route A9 continues along Port River Expressway. Prior to 2017, National Highway A13 then followed South Road to Grand Junction Road (Route A16 / National Highway A16), where it changed status back to Route A13 and continued south along South Road, Main South Road and Victor Harbor Road, terminating at Victor Harbor on the south coast. The North–South Motorway is designated Route M2, and South Road continuing from it was converted to route A2 in May 2017. Salisbury Highway was shown as part of the National Highway A13 between the Port Wakefield Road and the Port River Expressway on local road signage and major street directory publications.Until the early 1990s, Salisbury Highway terminated at Port Wakefield Road. The Salisbury Highway Extension project built the bridge and interchange at Port Wakefield Road, and extended the highway to Wingfield, where it joined the north end of what was then the South Road Interconnector. Neither the Port River Expressway nor the North–South Motorway had been built at that time.

The Port River Expressway is a 5.5-kilometre (3.4 mi) freeway-grade road. The expressway links Port Adelaide and the LeFevre Peninsula to the northern suburbs of Adelaide and major interstate routes via Salisbury Highway (A9) to Port Wakefield Road (A1) and the Max Fatchen Northern Expressway (M2) to Perth, Darwin and Sydney. The expressway is only grade-separated at the North-South Motorway, Hanson Road and Eastern Parade interchanges; the following two intersections are at grade with traffic signals installed. This has led to the route being labelled as the A9, instead of the more common M label associated with freeways and expressways in South Australia.

The Sidewinders Speedway is a junior Motorcycle speedway that was opened in 1978 in the semi-industrial Adelaide suburb of Wingfield in South Australia. The Sidewinders U/16 Speedway Club Inc. was founded two years earlier in 1976 by Graham Baker and Roy Bitmead, with help from Rowley Park Speedway riders Robin and Kym Amundson, and their father Bill. As it was then, Sidewinders goal is to promote and develop speedway through its junior ranks with riders aged 4–15, something that had rarely been done in Australia to that point. Once a rider turns 16 he or she then move into the senior ranks. Prior to the opening of Sidewinders, most Australian Solo riders came into the sport with a background in Cycle Speedway (in Adelaide this was usually through the Findon Skid Kids cycling club) or through Scrambling, including local Adelaide hero John Boulger who during the 1980s and 1990s was a strong supporter of the speedway (despite having retired from riding in 1983 to move into first the Sprintcar, then the Speedcar ranks), lending his experience, including two Australian Championships, nine South Australian Championships, a World Team Cup win, and two World Final appearances, to up and coming riders.

Radio Italiana 531 is one of Adelaide, Australia's two "on band" dedicated non-English language commercial radio services. Radio Italiana 531 broadcasts an Adelaide-based Italian language radio service.The radio station was established in the 1990s, and commenced transmissions under an Australian Broadcasting Authority Temporary Community Broadcasting Licence (TCBL). The broadcasts on 92.9 FM were time shared with youth/dance community radio station Fresh FM, and in the licensing process both organisations applied for the full-time permanent FM broadcasting licence. While Fresh FM was ultimately successful in gaining its licence and moving frequency to 92.7, this left the Italian Language station without a frequency. In the months following the grant of the FM community licence to Fresh FM, an additional AM licence became available. This licence was to be issued on a frequency which became available upon the previous licensee 5UV (Radio Adelaide) moving to an FM frequency. 531AM was auctioned by the Australian Broadcasting Authority for use as a narrowcast service, and the final and successful bid was won by Radio Televisione Italiana (SA) Inc, and the station is licensed as 5RTI.

Greyhound Park also known as Angle Park is the only greyhound racing venue located in Adelaide, South Australia. The venue is owned and operated by Greyhound Racing South Australia (GRSA) and has an approximate capacity of around 4,000. The track is on Cardigan Street in the northwestern suburb of Angle Park.The track has a sand surface and a cable lure system and is 457 m (1,499 ft) long with a width of 6.5 m (21 ft). Facilities include the Chasers Restaurant, at 55 Cardigan Street and there are full Totalisator Agency Board (TAB) facilities and bookmakers on site with race meetings taking place on Monday and Thursday nights and Wednesday mornings.

The Parks Football Centre or VALO Football Centre (for sponsorship reasons) is a football stadium in Angle Park, South Australia. The venue was built as only the second full size synthetic pitch in South Australia.

Angle Park is a north-western suburb of Adelaide 10 km from the CBD, in the state of South Australia, Australia and falls under the City of Port Adelaide Enfield. It is adjacent to Wingfield, Mansfield Park, Ferryden Park, and Regency Park. The post code for Angle Park is 5010. It is bounded to the north by Grand Junction Road, west by Trafford Street, and to the east by Days Road and the North-South Motorway.

Tube Mills railway station was a station on the Gawler line located in the inner northern Adelaide, suburb of Kilburn. It was located approximately 8.4 kilometres from Adelaide station, and was demolished in the late 1980s. The British Tube Mills (later Tubemakers) factory was located adjacent and the station could only be accessed from the factory. Trains were scheduled to stop at Tube Mills for shift changes, but outside these times, some trains were timetabled to stop at Tube Mills on request. The British Tube Mills works were served by rail. Rail access to the works was via the Up North Main only, meaning trains either had to come from Dry Creek and shunt into the works or work "wrong line" from Islington. The British Tube Mills works were originally located on both sides of Churchill Road. Rail access to the eastern works was provided via a level crossing over Churchill Road. The level crossing has long since been removed, but evidence of it is still visible.

Dry Creek Power Station is a power station at Dry Creek in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. It is owned and operated by Synergen Power, a joint venture of Engie and Mitsui. The power station has three open cycle gas turbines, each rated at 52MW. It was commissioned in 1973–1974 by the Electricity Trust of South Australia.As well as peaking electricity generation, the power station also provides ancillary services to support electricity grid stability. Dry Creek Power Station was established around 1978. It receives gas from the Moomba Adelaide Pipeline System. In 2018, the operators of Dry Creek Power Station were fined A$60,000 for failing to respond to instructions from AEMO during a blackout caused by faults elsewhere in the network.

The Islington Sewage Farm (also known as Tam O'Shanter Sewage Farm) was a sewerage treatment facility located at Tam O'Shanter Belt/Islington (now Regency Park) in South Australia, which operated from 1881 until 1966. According to a 1996 heritage survey by the City of Enfield Islington Sewage Farm was claimed to be Australia's earliest "water borne waste disposal treatment system".

Regency Park is an inner-northern suburb of Adelaide, 6 km from the City Centre, in the state of South Australia, Australia. It is located in the City of Port Adelaide Enfield, and is adjacent to Wingfield, Angle Park, Ferryden Park, Kilburn, Prospect, Dudley Park and Croydon Park. It is bounded to the north by Grand Junction Road, east by the Gawler railway line, south by Regency Road and to the west by Days and South Roads. The postcode for Regency Park is 5010. Regency Park is essentially an industrial suburb, consisting of factories, but primarily industrial warehouses. Its streets are dominated by semitrailers.

Mansfield Park is a north-western suburb of Adelaide 10 km from the CBD, in the state of South Australia, Australia and falls under the City of Port Adelaide Enfield. It is adjacent to Wingfield, Angle Park, Woodville Gardens, and Athol Park. The postcode for Mansfield Park is 5012. It is bounded to the north by Grand Junction Road, and to the west by Hanson Road. It is named after the Mansfield in East Ayrshire, Scotland.
