Tugby and Keythorpe is a civil parish comprising the village of Tugby and land surrounding Keythorpe Hall, Hall Farm and Lodge Farm in Leicestershire, England, part of the Harborough district. The Parish covers around 2,200 acres, situated 7 miles west of Uppingham, and 12 miles east of Leicester. According to the 2011 census the population of the parish was 330. The Anglican parish register for the parish dates back to 1568. The boundaries of the parish have not changed throughout the years, meaning that the parish's size remains the same as it did in 1568. In the 1887 Gazetter of the British Isles it is suggested that the town dates back to Norman rule stating: "The church has a Norman tower, and is good."

Launde Woods is a 99 hectares (240 acres) nature reserve north of Launde in Leicestershire. It is owned by the Leicester Diocesan Board of Finance and leased to the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust. The site is in two areas, Launde Big Wood, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and Launde Park Wood.Launde Big Wood is ancient semi-natural woodland with a rich ground flora, including wood anemone, wood forget-me-not and sweet woodruff. Most of Launde Park Wood has been planted with conifers, but the northern third has the same range of plants as the Big Wood.There is public access to the woods, which are located on either side of the road south of Launde Abbey.

East Norton is a small village and parish located in the east of Leicestershire, adjoining the A47 Leicester to Uppingham road. According to the 2001 Census, it had a population of 94 in 37 households. The population remained less than 100 at the 2011 census and details are included in the civil parish of Loddington. East Norton is situated in the Tilton Ward in the Rural East area of the Harborough District, and the Launde Electoral Division of the Leicestershire County Council. Nationally it is in the Rutland and Melton Parliamentary Constituency and the Three Cities Sub-Area of the East Midlands Region.The village's name means 'northern farm/settlement'.East Norton is one of the 51 Thankful Villages in England and Wales that suffered no fatalities during the Great War of 1914 to 1918.

Launde Big Wood is a 41.1 hectares (102 acres) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Leicester. It is part of Launde Woods nature reserve, which is owned by the Leicester Diocesan Board of Finance and managed by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust.This wood on heavy clay is dominated by ash, and in some areas by wych elm. The ground layer has flora typical of ancient clay woods, such as bluebell, forget-me-not, yellow archangel and giant bellflower.There is access to the site by a public footpath.

Loddington is a village and civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire. It is on the county boundary with Rutland, and the nearest town is Oakham in Rutland, 6 miles (10 km) to the northeast. Loddington is on a stream that joins Eye Brook, a tributary of the River Welland. The 2001 Census recorded Loddington's parish population as 77. By the time of the 2011 Census Loddington had been merged with the neighbouring civil parish of Launde. The census included the parish with that of East Norton, for which it recorded a combined total of 230.

Tilton Cutting is a 4.4 hectares (11 acres) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Tilton on the Hill in Leicestershire. It is a Geological Conservation Review site, and is owned and managed by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust as Tilton Railway Cutting.This is the best site in the East Midlands which exposes the sequence of rocks in the Lower Jurassic around 180 million years ago. There are many fossils, including Tiltoniceras acutum, an age-diagnostic ammonite. The site has rich flora and diverse common birds.There is access from the Tilton on the Hill to Oakham road.

Launde is a civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, bordering Rutland. The parish is the site of Launde Abbey. It gives its name to an electoral division of Leicestershire that stretches all the way from Scraptoft, Thurnby and Stoughton, near Leicester, to the border with Rutland. The civil parish population is included in the civil parish of Loddington. Launde Park lies in the valley of the River Chater. The Elizabethan house embodies the relics of the old priory and is an E-shaped building of two storeys. The private chapel is from the Perpendicular period and contains some good stained glass. There are numerous memorials of the Simpson family who bought Launde in 1763 and enlarged the house and laid out the plantations. The estate was later owned by the Dawson family.Launde Woods is a nature reserve managed by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust, and part of it is Launde Big Wood, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Sauvey Castle is a medieval castle, near Withcote, Leicestershire, England. It was probably built by King John in 1211 as a secluded hunting lodge in Leighfield Forest. It comprised a ringwork or shell keep, with an adjacent bailey; earthwork dams were constructed to flood the area around the castle, creating a large, shallow moat. The castle was occupied by the Count of Aumale in the early reign of Henry III, but it then remained in the control of the Crown and was used by royal foresters until it fell into disuse in the 14th century. By the end of the 17th century, its walls and buildings had been dismantled or destroyed, leaving only the earthworks, which remain in a good condition in the 21st century.

Goadby is a village and civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, England, about 8 miles north of Market Harborough. It had a population of 204 according to the 2011 census.The village's name means 'farm/settlement of Gauti'.Goadby has a Church of England Parish church, St. John the Baptist, which is of 13th-century origin. The church was extensively renovated in the 19th century. Services are held on the first Sunday of every month. The church is part of a group of churches ministered to from Billesdon. Every year, a fundraising fete is held in Goadby on the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday weekend to provide funds for the Church. Goadby has no industry, and is notable chiefly for its stud farm, at which the celebrated race horse Desert Orchid was foaled. Goadby's name, with the "-by" suffix, indicates that it is of Danish origin. Goadby is recorded in the Domesday Book as "Goutebi". "Goadby, Leicester, is a chapelry in Billesdon parish near a branch of the river Welland. This is annexed to the vicarage of Billesdon, in the diocese of Peterborough. The church was restored in 1854." One of the current residents of Goadby is Kev Burgess, Racing Manager for Diamond Racing, the syndicate that owns 2021 Welsh Grand National and 2023 Classic Chase Winner, Iwilldoit.

Tilton railway station was a railway station serving the village of Tilton on the Hill, in Leicestershire, England. on the Great Northern and London and North Western Joint Railway. It opened in 1879 and closed in 1953. To the north of the station was Marefield Junction.

Owston Woods is a 139.6 hectares (345 acres) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south of Owston in Leicestershire.The dominant trees in these woods on Jurassic and glacial clay are ash and hazel. There are diverse moths, beetles and other insects, including some rare species, and there is also a variety of birds and small mammals.A public footpath goes through the woods.

Skeffington is a village and civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, England. It lies 11 miles/18 km east of Leicester on the A47 Uppingham road, between Billesdon and Tugby and Keythorpe. The population at the 2011 census (including Rolleston) was 223.
