Rocky Hill High School is a four year high school in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.

The Elm Street Historic District encompasses a colonial-era roadway layout and a cross-section of historical residential architecture styles in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. Elm Street between Silas Deane Highway and Grimes Road is an old colonial road, laid out in the late 17th century, and has retained an unusually wide right-of-way, typical for the period but rarely preserved. The houses lining it date from 1769 to the 1930s. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Academy Hall is a historic former school building at 785 Old Main Street in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. Built in 1803, it is a well-preserved example of a Federal style academy. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. It presently houses the Academy Hall Museum of the Rocky Hill Historical Society.

The Rocky Hill Congregational Church is a historic church at 805-817 Old Main Street in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, USA. Built in 1808 for a 1723 congregation, it is a distinctive late example of Georgian architecture, and a prominent landmark in the town center. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Silas Deane House is a historic house museum at 203 Main Street in Wethersfield, Connecticut. Built in 1766, this National Historic Landmark was the home of Silas Deane (1737–1789), the first foreign diplomat for the United States.

The Rocky Hill–Glastonbury Ferry is a seasonal ferry crossing the Connecticut River between the towns of Glastonbury and Rocky Hill, Connecticut and is part of Route 160. It is believed to be the oldest continuously operated ferry service in the United States. The river crossing has an annual average daily traffic of 400.

Rocky Hill is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. The town is part of the Capitol Planning Region. The population was 20,845 at the 2020 census. It was originally land of the Wangunks (a tribe of Native Americans). Europeans began to settle the area of Rocky Hill in 1650, as part of Wethersfield, the neighboring town to the north. In 1722, the area became known as Stepney Parish, until it was independently incorporated in 1843. Rocky Hill’s location on the Connecticut River made it a natural port for Wethersfield and an early center for shipbuilding, agriculture, and trade. Rocky Hill is a typical bedroom community as many residents commute to work in the larger urban centers of Hartford to the north and New Haven to the south. Rocky Hill is the home to the Dinosaur State Park. Rocky Hill also was once the headquarters of Ames Department Stores, which ceased business operations in 2002.

The Glastonbury–Rocky Hill Ferry Historic District is a historic district in Glastonbury and Rocky Hill, Connecticut, encompassing a landscape with more than 300 years of colonial and post-colonial history. It includes the ferry landings and water traversed by the Rocky Hill – Glastonbury Ferry, one of the longest-running ferry services the nation, and the surrounding farmscapes and ferry landing village. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Dinosaur State Park and Arboretum is a state-owned natural history preserve occupying 80 acres (32 ha) in the town of Rocky Hill, Connecticut. The state park protects one of the largest dinosaur track sites in North America. The park was created in recognition of fossil trackways embedded in sandstone from the beginning of the Jurassic period, about 200 million years ago. The facility is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Old Wethersfield, also known as Old Wethersfield Historic District, and historically known as Watertown or Pyquag, is a section of the town of Wethersfield, Connecticut, roughly bounded by the borders of the adjacent city of Hartford and town of Rocky Hill, railroad tracks, and I-91. The site of the first permanent European-American settlement in the state of Connecticut, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. The land for this colonial settlement was acquired from the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Wethersfield served as a transportation hub on the Connecticut River in the early years. The Old Wethersfield Historic District was established under town statutes in 1962, "to preserve and protect the many architectural phases of a Connecticut River Community in continual growth from 1634 to the present." Eight years later, in 1970, the Old Wethersfield Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The village includes 50 houses that were built before the American Revolutionary War, plus about 250 additional houses built before the 20th century, about 100 of which were built earlier than the American Civil War.The historic district listed on the National Register includes 1200 structures over 1,300 acres (5.3 km2). Of these 100 date from colonial times. The Buttolph–Williams House is a historic house museum at 249 Broad Street in Wethersfield, Connecticut. Built in 1711, it is one of the oldest surviving houses in the town. It is owned by Connecticut Landmarks, a historic preservation organization, and is open for regular tours between May and October. it was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1968 for its significance as an extremely well-preserved example of early colonial architecture.

The Joseph Webb House is a historic Georgian-style house at 211 Main Street in Wethersfield, Connecticut. It was designated a National Historic Landmark for its significance as the location of the five-day military conference between George Washington and French commander Rochambeau in 1781 during the American Revolutionary War that preceded the Siege of Yorktown, the last major battle of the war. Washington lodged at the house of Joseph Webb on May 17, 1781 in Old Wethersfield. The Joseph Webb House is owned by the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum and serves as its headquarters. The interior has been restored to an 18th-century appearance and the grounds feature a Colonial Revival garden and 19th-century barn in back. The house was built in 1752 for Joseph Webb and remained in the family until around 1820, when it was sold to Martin Welles. It remained in the Welles family until 1913, when it was purchased by a group of businessmen who intended to use it as an athenaeum or a library, but a lack of funds led to its sale to Wallace Nutting. The house opened in 1916 as a part of Nutting's "Chain of Colonial Picture Houses". Nutting sold the house to the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in 1919, who continue to operate it as a historic house museum. Nutting's murals and interpretive Colonial Revival elements were integrated with an exhibit showing his influence in 1996.
