Pierrefonds-Senneville is a former Montreal borough in the West Island area of Montreal, Quebec. It was formed by forced merger on January 1, 2002. After Senneville voted on June 20, 2004 to demerge from Montreal and returned to being an independent municipality on January 1, 2006, the Pierrefonds sector was merged with Roxboro to create the borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro.

The Morgan Arboretum is a 245-hectare (610-acre) forested reserve, on the McGill University Macdonald Campus in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue on the western tip of the Island of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The Arboretum is a mixed-use woodland and recreational area, with an extensive network of walking, skiing and snowshoeing trails totaling some 25 km (16 mi).

Fort Senneville is one of the outlying forts of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, built by the Canadiens of New France near the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue in 1671. The property was part of a fief ceded to Dugué de Boisbriant in 1672 by the Sulpicians. A large stone windmill, which doubled as a watch tower, was built on a hill by late 1686 and featuring machicolation and other castle-like features. The fort was burned down by Iroquois in 1691, with only the mill itself left standing. Governor-General Frontenac ordered the construction of a second, more imposing fort in 1692. It was rebuilt in 1702–1703 to protect the nearby fur trading post. With extensive cannons and swiveling wall guns, it was the "most substantial castle-like fort" near Montreal. It was eventually destroyed in 1776 by Benedict Arnold, under American military control, but the ruins have been maintained since then. In 2003, it was classified as a historic site.

The Battle of the Lake of Two Mountains (French: Bataille du Lac-des-Deux-Montagnes) was a battle of the Beaver Wars between the colony of New France and the Iroquois Confederacy that occurred on October 16, 1689. The battle occurred in response to the Lachine massacre of August 1689. In October, Governor General of New France, the Marquis de Denonville dispatched a scouting party of 28 coureur des bois, under the command of Daniel Greysolon, Sieur du Lhut and Nicolas d'Ailleboust de Manthet, to search for Iroquois warriors that posed a threat to residents on the Island of Montreal. The coureur des bois came across a group 22 Iroquois at the Lake of Two Mountains. The French suffered no casualties, while the Iroquois suffered 18 deaths, 3 captured, and 1 fled. The French victory restored the confidence of the local French inhabitants.

The Rivière à l'Orme (English: Elm River) is a tributary of the Lac des Deux Montagnes, flowing into the territory of Pierrefonds, Quebec and Senneville, Quebec, in the city of Montreal, in Quebec, in Canada. The course of the river mainly passes through urban areas with urban park areas. Annually, the surface of the river is generally frozen from mid-December to late March, however, the period of safe ice circulation is usually from late December to mid-March.

Senneville (French pronunciation: [sɛnvil]) is an affluent on-island suburban village on the western tip of the Island of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is the wealthiest town in the West Island.Situated close to the city of Montreal, it was historically a popular location for the country houses of wealthy Montrealers. Attractions include multiple golf clubs, a yacht club, and La Ferme du Fort Senneville, an organic demonstration farm. The Morgan Arboretum was founded here in 1953, and is today managed by Macdonald College; an important bird sanctuary, it is open to the public year-round. Fort Senneville was constructed here in 1671, but its ruins are on private land and are not accessible to the public. The historic core of the village was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2002.

Ste. Anne's Hospital (French: Hôpital Sainte-Anne) is a hospital located in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec, Canada. It primarily serves veterans of the Canadian Forces and is specialized in long-term and geriatric care. It also treats younger veterans for operational stress injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder. The hospital has 446 beds in private rooms and underwent an extensive renovation in 2009.

The Île aux Tourtes Bridge is a bridge on the western tip of the Island of Montreal, spanning Lake of Two Mountains between Senneville, and Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, Canada. It carries six lanes of Autoroute 40 and is the main transportation link between Montreal and the province of Ontario. At 2 km in length, it is the longest bridge in Quebec to cross a body of water other than the Saint Lawrence River. It is used by 87,000 vehicles per day, or 3.17 million per year, as a vital artery connecting the island of Montreal to its outer suburbs.The bridge has been subject to numerous reparations since the 1990s. With an initial projected end-of-life date of 2002, by 2018, the government of Quebec had spent $87 million to maintain the structure with another $45 million expected to be spent by 2028 to reinforce it while a replacement is built. A new $2.3 billion span is scheduled to open in 2026.

Lake of Two Mountains (French: Lac des Deux Montagnes) is part of the river delta widening of the Ottawa River in Quebec, Canada, at its confluence with the St. Lawrence River. Lake of Two Mountains has four outflows: Rivière des Mille Îles and Rivière des Prairies, bordering Île Jésus, and two branches of the Ottawa River, flowing into the St. Lawrence via Lake Saint-Louis, on either side of Île Perrot. The city of Deux-Montagnes is located on the lake's north shore, where it flows into Rivière des Mille Îles. The southwest portion of the city of Montreal borders the eastern part of the lake, as does the village of Senneville. Kanesatake (Kanehsatà:ke), a Kanien'kéha:ka Mohawk reserve in Kanesatake, Quebec, is also located along the northern shore.

Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue station is a commuter rail station operated by Exo in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec, Canada. It is served by the Vaudreuil–Hudson line. As of October 2020, on weekdays, 10 of 11 inbound trains and 11 of 12 outbound trains on the line call at this station; the one exception each way is a short turned train. On weekends, all trains (four on Saturday and three on Sunday in each direction) call here.The station is built on an overpass above Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants (Veterans Road). It has two side platforms; access between them is provided by the sidewalks on either side of Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants, to which the platforms are connected by stairwells covered with distinctive hexagonal canopies. The inbound platform, only about half as long as the outbound platform, is equipped with a small station building.

The Montreal Aviation Museum (French: Musée de L'aviation de Montréal), formerly the Canadian Aviation Heritage Centre (French: Centre canadien du patrimoine aéronautique), is an aviation museum located in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec, Canada.

The Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Canal is a canal and set of locks linking Lake Saint-Louis and Lake of Two Mountains at Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, the very westernmost point of Montreal Island, Quebec, Canada. It is a National Historic Site of Canada. The canal is located in the eastern channel of the Ottawa River around Perrot Island (Île Perrot) where shallow rapids form a natural obstacle. It forms part of the waterway system that allows boating access from the Saint Lawrence River up the Ottawa River to the City of Ottawa, and even to Lake Ontario via the Rideau Canal. The canal and locks are used today exclusively for recreational boating. The site is a popular tourist location that also offers mooring places, picnic tables, boat launch, and park land. Guided tours and interpretative panels are provided by Parks Canada. Together with the boardwalk and restaurants and cafes that line the canal, the site drew 181,000 visitors and 23,000 boaters in 2003, making it the second busiest canal and locks in Quebec. The dimensions of the lock are 54.86 metres (180.0 ft) long, 12.19 metres (40.0 ft) wide, and 2.74 metres (9.0 ft) deep at the sills. It lifts boats by 1 metre (3.3 ft).
