Al Nahda (Arabic: النهدة) is a rapid transit station on the Green Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE, serving the Al Qusais and Al Twar areas in Deira. The district of Al Nahda itself is around 3/4 mile away. The station opened as part of the Green Line on 9 September 2011. It is close to the Adab Iranian Private School, Al Kuwait Intermediate Girls School, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, The Westminster School, and the Al Bustan Centre. The station is also close to a number of bus routes.

Al Qusais or Al Gusais (Arabic: اﻟﻘﺼﻴﺺ) is a large community in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is located in the Deira area of east Dubai. Al Qusais borders the localities of Hor Al Anz and Al Twar and is further subdivided into residential (Al Qusais) and industrial (Al Qusais Industrial Area) localities.

Al Twar (Arabic: الطوار) is a locality in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Located in eastern Dubai in Deira, Al Twar borders Dubai International Airport to the south, Al Qusais to the north, Hor Al Anz to the west and Muhaisnah to the east. It is bounded to the north and south by routes D 93 (Al Nahda Road) and D 91 (Abu Hail Road) respectively. Al Twar contains three sub-communities: Al Twar 1 Al Twar 2 Al Twar 3Al Twar is considered an expensive residential area in Dubai and home to many well known Dubai businessmen. It is predominantly a residential community. Landmarks in Al Twar include Al Wafa Hypermarket and Dubai Police headquarters as well as a state of the art indoor sports facility where residents of the area partake in sporting tournaments in Football, Table Tennis, Badminton and even Soap Football. Captain Majid is a common idol amongst the youth in the area. Al Twar also has parks such as the Al Twar Park.

Baghdad Street (Arabic: شارع بغداد) is a 2.3 km road in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Named after the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad, it branches out from al-Ittihad Road in al-Nahda neighborhood and runs through al-Qusais and Muhaisnah neighborhoods before connecting Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road from the other end. It is overseen by the city's Roads and Transport Authority. In 2009, the General Directorate of Traffic reported that the street accounted for the second-most instances of pedestrian crossing violations.

Dubai Scholars Private School, is a private school, located in Al Qusais, Dubai, UAE. The school is managed by the Scholars International Group, and offers the National Curriculum of England to students ranging from FS1 to Year 13.

Stadium (Arabic: الاستاد) is a rapid transit station on the Green Line of the Dubai Metro in the Deira area of Dubai, UAE.The station opened as part of the Green Line on 9 September 2011. It is close to the Rashid Stadium (hence the name), Al Mulla Plaza, Amity School, and Dubai Municipality Quarters. The station is also close to a number of bus routes.

Rashid Stadium (Arabic: استاد راشد) is a multi-purpose stadium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is currently used mostly for football and rugby matches. The stadium holds 12,000 people. It was built in 1948. The stadium hosted several matches of the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship, 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup, and 2019 AFC Asian Cup.

Al Salam Private School & Nursery is a British Curriculum private school located in Dubai, UAE. Its original site was established in 1985 as a nursery, located in the historic communities of Dubai, in Al Rigga, to Al Muteena and later Hor Al Anz, from which the school opened in 1988. It moved to the current location in Al Nahda 2 in 1994. It is one of the highest achieving schools in Dubai.Al Salam School began as a nursery in 1985 and three years later, Al Salam Private School was established. The location of the school changed as it grew and larger sites were used to accommodate the growing numbers. Al Salam operated in Hor Al Anz through to its current site in Al Nahda 2. On 24 August 1984, seven members of the banned All India Sikh Students Federation hijacked an Indian Airlines jetliner Indian Airlines Flight 421 (IATA No.: IC421), a Boeing 737-2A8, on a domestic flight from the Delhi-Palam Airport to Srinagar Airport with 74 people on board and demanded to be flown to the United States. The plane travelled to Lahore, then to Karachi and finally to Dubai, where the defence minister of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum negotiated the release of the passengers and the surrender of all hijackers to UAE authorities. It was related to the secessionist insurgency in the Indian state of Punjab. The Khalistan movement was a separatist movement in Indian Punjab and UK where a small portion of the Sikh community openly asked for a different country for Sikh people (Khalistan). The hijackers were subsequently extradited by UAE authorities to India, who handed over the pistol recovered from the hijackers. Indian civil servant K. Subrahmanyam was on board an Indian Airlines flight (IC 421) on 24 August 1984 when the plane was hijacked. The arrested hijackers later claimed in court that it was Subrahmanyam who "planned the entire hijacking to examine nuclear installations in Pakistan."IC 421 hijacking was mentioned in the book IA's Terror Trail, written by Anil Sharma. This hijacking was also an important part of the story of 2021 Hindi film Bell Bottom. Indian Airlines, India's sole domestic airline up to 1993, was hijacked 16 times, from 1971 to 1999.

Dubai International Airport (IATA: DXB, ICAO: OMDB) (Arabic: مطار دبي الدولي) is the primary international airport serving Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is the world's busiest airport by international passenger traffic. It is also the nineteenth-busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic, one of the busiest cargo airports in the world, the busiest airport for Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 movements, and the airport with the highest average number of passengers per flight. In 2017, the airport handled 88 million passengers and 2.65 million tonnes of cargo and registered 409,493 aircraft movements.Dubai International Airport is situated in the Al Garhoud district, 2.5 nautical miles (4.6 km; 2.9 mi) east of Dubai and spread over an area of 7,200 acres (2,900 ha) of land. Terminal 3 is the second-largest building in the world by floor space and the largest airport terminal in the world. In July 2019, Dubai International airport installed the largest solar energy system in the region's airports as part of Dubai's goal to reduce 30 percent of the city energy consumption by 2030.Emirates Airline has its hub airport in Dubai International (DXB) and has their own terminal 3 with 3 concourses that they share with Flydubai. The Emirates hub is the largest airline hub in the Middle East; Emirates handles 51% of all passenger traffic and accounts for approximately 42% of all aircraft movements at the airport. Dubai Airport is also the base for low-cost carrier flydubai which handles 13% of passenger traffic and 25% of aircraft movements at DXB. The airport has a total capacity of 90 million passengers annually. As of January 2016, there are over 7,700 weekly flights operated by 140 airlines to over 270 destinations across all inhabited continents. Over 63% of travelers using the airport in 2018 were connecting passengers.In 2014 Dubai International indirectly supported over 400,000 jobs and contributed over US$26.7 billion to the economy, which represented around 27% of Dubai's GDP and 21% of the employment in Dubai.

Emirates Flight 521 was a scheduled international passenger flight from Thiruvananthapuram, India, to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, operated by Emirates using a Boeing 777-300. On 3 August 2016, the aircraft carrying 282 passengers and 18 crew crashed while landing at Dubai International Airport.All 300 people on board survived the accident; 32 were injured, four were seriously injured. An airport firefighter died during the rescue operation, and another seven firefighters were injured. The accident is the only hull loss of an Emirates aircraft.
