The Philippine School (Arabic: المدرسة الفلبينية - دبي) is a school in Dubai catering for Filipinos, covering grade levels from kindergarten through the 12th grade.The school's 2019-2020 inspection report by the Dubai School Inspection Bureau of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority was summarized as "acceptable".

Emirates (Arabic: طيران الإمارات) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE. It is located very close to Dubai International Airport. The station is connected to the entrance of the Emirates Group headquarters.

On 24 August 1984, seven members of the banned All India Sikh Students Federation hijacked an Indian Airlines jetliner Indian Airlines Flight 421 (IATA No.: IC421), a Boeing 737-2A8, on a domestic flight from the Delhi-Palam Airport to Srinagar Airport with 74 people on board and demanded to be flown to the United States. The plane travelled to Lahore, then to Karachi and finally to Dubai, where the defence minister of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum negotiated the release of the passengers and the surrender of all hijackers to UAE authorities. It was related to the secessionist insurgency in the Indian state of Punjab. The Khalistan movement was a separatist movement in Indian Punjab and UK where a small portion of the Sikh community openly asked for a different country for Sikh people (Khalistan). The hijackers were subsequently extradited by UAE authorities to India, who handed over the pistol recovered from the hijackers. Indian civil servant K. Subrahmanyam was on board an Indian Airlines flight (IC 421) on 24 August 1984 when the plane was hijacked. The arrested hijackers later claimed in court that it was Subrahmanyam who "planned the entire hijacking to examine nuclear installations in Pakistan."IC 421 hijacking was mentioned in the book IA's Terror Trail, written by Anil Sharma. This hijacking was also an important part of the story of 2021 Hindi film Bell Bottom. Indian Airlines, India's sole domestic airline up to 1993, was hijacked 16 times, from 1971 to 1999.

Terminal 3 is the second-largest building in the world by floor space and the largest airport terminal in the world. In July 2019, Dubai International airport installed the largest solar energy system in the region's airports as part of Dubai's goal to reduce 30 percent of the city energy consumption by 2030.Emirates Airline has its hub airport in Dubai International (DXB) and has their own terminal 3 with 3 concourses that they share with Flydubai. The Emirates hub is the largest airline hub in the Middle East; Emirates handles 51% of all passenger traffic and accounts for approximately 42% of all aircraft movements at the airport. Dubai Airport is also the base for low-cost carrier flydubai which handles 13% of passenger traffic and 25% of aircraft movements at DXB. The airport has a total capacity of 90 million passengers annually. As of January 2016, there are over 7,700 weekly flights operated by 140 airlines to over 270 destinations across all inhabited continents. Over 63% of travelers using the airport in 2018 were connecting passengers.In 2014 Dubai International indirectly supported over 400,000 jobs and contributed over US$26.7 billion to the economy, which represented around 27% of Dubai's GDP and 21% of the employment in Dubai.

Al Qusais (Arabic: اﻟﻘﺼﻴﺺ‎) is a rapid transit station on the Green Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, serving the Al Qusais and Al Twar areas in Deira.The station opened as part of the Green Line on 9 September 2011. It is close to the Al Salam Community School (ASCS) and the Al Qusais Police Station. The station is also close to a number of bus routes.

Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 is an airport terminal at Dubai International Airport serving Dubai, UAE. When completed and opened on 14 October 2008, it was the largest building in the world by floor area and is currently the world's largest airport terminal, with over 1,713,000 m2 (18,440,000 sq ft) of space. The partly underground Terminal 3 was built at a cost of US$4.5 billion, exclusively for Emirates and has a capacity of 43 million passengers. However it was announced on 6 September 2012 that Terminal 3 would no longer be Emirates exclusive, as Emirates and Qantas had set up an extensive code sharing agreement. Qantas would be the second and only one of two airlines to fly in and out of Terminal 3. This deal also allows Qantas to use the A380 Dedicated Concourse A. The terminal has 5 Airbus A380 gates at Concourse B, and 18 at Concourse A. (though since 2018, Qantas no longer flies to Dubai, as nonstop QF9/10 from Perth to London were launched and A380 again routed via Singapore instead). In December 2018, flydubai commenced flights from Terminal 3 to selected destinations to facilitate transfers to/from Emirates.

Umm Ramool (Arabic: أم رمول) is a locality in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is located in Deira in eastern Dubai and is bordered to the north by Dubai International Airport, to the east by Nad Shamma, to the west by Al Garhoud and to the south by Ras Al Khor. Umm Ramool is a residential and commercial community. Umm Ramool is one of the oldest industrial areas in Dubai. The area was connected to the Dubai Metro Red Line with the opening of the Emirates Station on 30 April 2010. The station is connected to the Emirates Office Building.

Etisalat (Arabic: اتصالات) is a rapid transit station on the Green Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE.Trial running began in October 2010, with the station inaugurated on 9 September 2011 and opened to the public the next day, 10 September 2011.The station is located on Al Nahda Street, between Al Qusais and Al Twar, and north of Dubai International Airport. It is close to Al Qusais Pond Park. It is also close to the junction of Al Nahda Street with the major Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E 311).The station continues to the network's depot.

Centrepoint (Arabic: سنتربوينت, Arabic pronunciation: [sintr bu'int]) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE.The eastern terminus of the line, it is one of 3 metro stations with a park and ride lot, the others being Etisalat and Jabal Ali.The station was previously known as Rashidiya, on 4th August 2021 it was renamed as Centrepoint.

Creek (aka Dubai Creek, Arabic: الخور) is a rapid transit station on the Green Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE. It serves as the western terminus of the line.The station officially opened on 1 March 2014. The Green Line was initially designed to terminate at Dubai Healthcare City, but an extension was added to Dubai Creek via Al Jadaf metro station. According to Gulf News in 2014, the plan to further extend the Green Line to Academic City is fully approved, in order to better serve the interests of residents in the Silicon Oasis and International City area. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library is close to the station on Dubai Creek.

Airport Terminal 3 (Arabic: لمطار- مبنى رقم 3) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE, serving the Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport.The station opened as part of the Red Line on 9 September 2009. It is close to the Emirates Group Headquarters. The station is also close to a number of bus routes.The station consists of 2 tracks and 2 exits, one for getting off the station and one for connecting to the airport.

Dubai Airport Free Zone (commonly known as DAFZA, Arabic: المنطقة الحرة بمطار دبي) is an elevated rapid-transit metro station on the Green Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE.The station opened as part of the Green Line on 9 September 2011. Like most Dubai Metro stations, DAFZA lies above ground level. It is located on Al Nahda Street between Al Qusais and Al Twar. It is approximately 1/2 mile from the entrance of the eponymous Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZA). The station is also close to a number of bus routes. The station is close to Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport.
