Mala Kapela Tunnel (Croatian: Tunel Mala Kapela) is the most significant structure on the Croatian A1 motorway route. As it is 5,821 metres (19,098 ft) long (northbound tube), Mala Kapela Tunnel is the longest tunnel in Croatia. The tunnel is geographically located between the villages of Jezerane and Modruš (although it cannot be accessed from the villages directly), and between Ogulin and Brinje motorway interchanges. The tunnel passes through the Mala Kapela mountain in the northeast-southwest direction. The first tunnel tube through the Mala Kapela mountain was completed in 2005, and was used for both directions of traffic until the second tube was completed in 2009. The tunnel is tolled within the A1 motorway closed toll collection system. There are no other toll plazas related to use of the tunnel.

Donje Zagorje is a settlement in the City of Ogulin in Croatia. In 2021, its population was 198.

Gornje Zagorje is a settlement in the City of Ogulin in Croatia. In 2021, its population was 270.

The Jezerane Viaduct is located between the Ogulin and Brinje interchanges of the A1 motorway in Croatia, just to the south of the Mala Kapela Tunnel. It is 661 metres (2,169 ft) long. At this location the motorway route follows a horizontal curve of 900 metres (3,000 ft) radius. The viaduct is a beam structure across a series of spans averaging 36.1 metres (118 ft). The main span is 40 metres (130 ft) long. Due to its sheer size, the viaduct was designed in four segments comprising box girders and grillage systems and expansion joints atop three piers and both abutments. The piers comprise a box cross section, with 30 cm thick walls.

Jezerane is a village in central Croatia, in the municipality of Brinje, in the northwestern part of Lika-Senj County. It is connected by the D23 highway.

Donje Dubrave is a village in Karlovac County, Croatia. It is located in the municipality of Ogulin on the old Josephine Road connecting Duga Resa and Senj. The Rijeka-Zagreb railway passes through the village. It has 250 inhabitants, most of them working on the railway in the nearby cities of Ogulin (about 25 km) and Karlovac (about 30 km away). There is an elementary school in the village that was attended by five students until a few years ago. The school is currently closed and the students attend school in Ogulin and Generalski Stol.

Generalski Stol is a village and a municipality in Karlovac County, Croatia. In the 2011 census, there were 2,642 inhabitants, in the following settlements: In the same census, 99% were Croats.
