Monroe Elementary School Historic District

The Robert and Esther Armstrong House, also known as Pleasant Hill, is a historic building located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. This is the last of two documented houses that regionalist artist Grant Wood designed in its entirety in the city. There are 14 documented houses that he designed, at least in part, between 1925 and 1933. He took on the work to help support himself and his mother. Like his artwork, his house designs evolved from more classical styles to the more simpler lines of vernacular forms. In addition, he used local materials to construct the house, including the exterior limestone quarried at Stone City for this house. In addition, Esther Armstrong, local builder Bruce McKay and Wood scoured the countryside looking for design ideas. They settled on two Pennsylvania-style fieldstone structures, from which Wood designed this home. He also served as interior decorator as well. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Bever Woods Historic District is a nationally recognized [historic district located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023. Sampson Cicero Bever with his wife and children, moved to Cedar Rapids in 1852. He opened the city's first bank and was involved in bringing the first railroad to Cedar Rapids. He also donated the land for Bever Park, which is on the east boundary of the district. The historic district is a residential area made up of about 150 single-family homes. Sampson Bever's grandson James had the area platted in 1916 and developed the homes in the 1920s.

Oak Hill Cemetery is a rural cemetery located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. It was listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. At the time of its nomination it consisted of 17 resources, which included 13 contributing buildings, one contributing site, two contributing structures, and one contributing object.

Cedar Valley Christian School (CVCS) is a private Christian school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It enrolls approximately 250 students and consists of grades Pre-kindergarten through Twelfth grade. The school is co-located with Cedar Valley Bible Church on Cottage Grove Ave just east of Indian Creek. CVCS states that their purpose is to assist parents with their biblical responsibility to raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. It is the school's goal to provide academic excellence where fundamental subjects are taught from a biblical viewpoint.

The Bohemian Commercial Historic District, also known as New Bohemia, is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. At the time of its nomination it consisted of 75 resources, which included 48 contributing buildings, and 27 non-contributing buildings. Bohemian immigrants began settling in Cedar Rapids in the 1850s, and increasingly after the American Civil War in the 1860s and the Austro-Prussian War in 1866. They grew to be the largest ethnic group in the city, and the only one to settle in a distinct part of Cedar Rapids. They settled along the Cedar River between the downtown area and the T.M. Sinclair and Company meat packing plant. The buildings in the district were constructed between the 1880s and the 1930s. They are largely narrow-front commercial buildings and corner blocks. The buildings housed a variety of commercial establishments: a movie theater, two banks, and several filling stations. It also includes a railroad corridor factory building, a fire station, and fraternal halls. The buildings are representative of various commercial architectural styles and vernacular building forms popular at the times they were built. The Lesinger Block (1883) and the C.S.P.S. Hall (1891) are individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Washington High School (officially George Washington High School) is a public high school in Cedar Rapids, in the U.S. state of Iowa. Built in 1956, it is named in honor of the oldest high school in Cedar Rapids.

Brucemore, a park-like, 26-acre (110,000 m2) estate in the heart of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is the site of a Queen Anne-style mansion, formal gardens, a children's garden, night garden, pond, orchard, and woodland. Built between 1884 and 1886 by Caroline Sinclair, widow of pioneer industrialist T.M. Sinclair, Brucemore has been home to three prominent families who used the estate as a center for culture and the arts. Brucemore, whose name alludes to the Scottish moors of the second owner's ancestral home, is Iowa's only National Trust Historic Site and is preserved by the National Trust for Historic Preservation in co-stewardship with Brucemore, Inc. Under the name of the T.M. Sinclair Mansion, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The mansion has three stories, and contains twenty-one rooms. Distinctive features include a steeply gabled roof, five chimneys, and several turrets.

The IANR Railroad Underpass is a historic structure located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. It carried railroad tracks for 24 feet (7.3 m) over Ely Road. The railroad probably built this stone arch bridge, which was completed in 1887. This kind of structure became more popular in the late 19th century as a railroad bridge because it was more durable than metal truss bridges, and they "projected a refined and sophisticated image." It features a semi-circular arch, a beltcourse, coursed-ashlar masonry, stepped wing walls that are flared, a parapet with projecting coping, and an elongated keystone with the date "1887" carved on it. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. It now carries the Cedar River Recreation Trail over the street.

The Redmond Park-Grande Avenue Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. At the time of its nomination it consisted of 196 resources, which included 193 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and two non-contributing buildings. This area was developed as a streetcar suburb at the turn of the 20th century. It includes single-family dwellings, two churches, and an apartment building. The southern part of the district, known as the Bever Park additions, was developed by brothers James and George Bever. The northern part of the district, known as Grande Avenue Place Addition, was developed by several developers, including the Bevers. The people who lived here were middle and upper income households. Local business leaders and professional people lived alongside salesmen and railroad workers. The buildings are representative of various architectural styles and vernacular building forms popular from the 1890s through the 1930s. No known architect designed houses have been located here, but it is possible that local architect Charles Dieman had commissions here. Several of the American Foursquare and the Craftsman houses are similar to those found in the Davenport-based Gordon–Van Tine Company catalogs from the 1910s and the 1920s. They manufactured pre-cut mail-order homes, and people may have bought their products and had them assembled here.
