Manteca Waterslides

River Islands at Lathrop is a planned community on a 4,800-acre (7.5 sq mi; 1,900 ha) site in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta in Lathrop, California, United States. As of 2018, approximately 800 homes of the first-phase of 4,284 houses had been built.

Lathrop/Manteca station is a train station in southern Lathrop, California on the edge of the San Francisco Bay Area. The station is served by commuter Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) trains between San Jose and Stockton. The station is located on rail tracks and a rail yard that is on land that was once a turkey farm. It is three miles (4.8 km) from Lathrop and one and a half miles (2.4 km) from Manteca to the east, a location chosen to draw commuters from both cities. Passengers board trains headed west to job centers in the San Francisco Bay Area. The station was studied to be relocated further south as part of the ACEforward project, but this concept was eliminated from consideration.The station only has limited bus service, timed to trains. The Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority operates the Modesto ACE Express between the station and the Vintage Faire Mall Park & Ride lot and Manteca Transit operates the ACE Shuttle between the station and the city's transit center.

Lathrop is a city located 9 miles (14 km) south of Stockton in San Joaquin County, California, United States. The 2020 United States Census reported that Lathrop's population was 28,701. The city is located in the San Joaquin Valley in Northern California at the intersection of Interstate 5 and California State Route 120.

Stanford Crossing is a planned community in Lathrop, California. The community is located west of Interstate 5 and east of the San Joaquin River on 1,068 acres. Stanford Crossing was built as part of the larger Central Lathrop Specific Plan development project to create "a vibrant and livable community" within the area. The community is planned for over 1,500 homes, and includes over 100 acres (40 ha) designated for commercial and retail uses. As of March 2024, over 900 homes have been built at Stanford Crossing. In addition to those homes, the community holds several parks, athletic facilities, a public library, outdoor amphitheater, and the Lathrop Generations Center, with further plans for a large commercial center to be developed on site.

Sierra High School is a high school in Manteca, California, opened in August 1994. It is a Microsoft showcase school.

Deuel Vocational Institution (DVI) was a state prison located in unincorporated San Joaquin County, California, near Tracy. The prison closed on September 30, 2021.

Lathrop High School, located in Lathrop, California, is a secondary school in the Manteca Unified School District. Its doors opened on August 11, 2008. LHS is known as the "Home of the Spartans".

The Stewart Tract is an island in the Sacramento–San Joaquin River Delta. It is part of San Joaquin County, California, and managed by Reclamation District 2062. Its coordinates are 37°48′13″N 121°20′53″W, and the United States Geological Survey measured its elevation as 13 ft (4.0 m) in 1981.

East Union High School (EUHS) is a secondary school located in northwestern Manteca, California. The school first opened in 1964 with a population of 514 students, 26 staff members and four counselors. As of 2005, East Union High School enrolls over 1,600 students annually.

Manteca (Spanish for "lard") is a city in San Joaquin County, California. The city had a population of 83,498 as of the 2020 census.

North Lathrop is a future Altamont Corridor Express station in Lathrop, California – the second to be constructed in the city. It is expected to open to revenue service in 2023 as part of the first phase of ACE's expansion to Merced.The station is located on a segment of the former Sharpe Army Depot. Whereas the original Lathrop/Manteca station was sited as a compromise to draw commuters from both cities, this station is located closer to residential areas. North Lathrop is designed as a transfer station to allow passengers from San Joaquin Valley shuttle trains to transfer to services bound for San Jose. The station is also planned to serve as the first phase northern terminus of Valley Link, a project by the Tri-Valley-San Joaquin Valley Regional Rail Authority to build a rail connection to Bay Area Rapid Transit's Dublin/Pleasanton station. Up to 3,500 parking spaces may be built to accommodate future park and ride demand by 2040.
