Carnide (Portuguese pronunciation: [kɐɾˈniðɨ]) is a freguesia (civil parish) and district of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Located in northern Lisbon, Carnide is north of São Domingos de Benfica and Benfica, east of Lumiar, and directly south of Lisbon's border with Odivelas. The population in 2011 was 19,218,

Pontinha station is part of the Blue Line of the Lisbon Metro and is located in the Bairro Mário Madeira neighbourhood of Lisbon, near the border with Amadora and Odivelas.

It is situated next to the Lusíada avenue and the Segunda Circular; there is a bus terminal next to the building and the Lisbon Metro station Colégio Militar/Luz allows visitors easy access to Colombo.

Colégio Militar (Portuguese for "Military College") is a military secondary school in Lisbon, Portugal. It was founded by Marechal António Teixeira Rebello in 1803.

Pontinha e Famões is a civil parish in the municipality of Odivelas, Portugal. It was formed in 2013 by the merger of the former parishes Pontinha and Famões. The population in 2011 was 34,143, in an area of 9.22 km².

The Estádio da Luz (Portuguese pronunciation: [(ɨ)ˈʃtaðju ðɐ ˈluʃ]), officially named Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, is a multi-purpose stadium located in Lisbon, Portugal. It is used mostly for association football matches, hosting the home games of Portuguese club S.L. Benfica, its owner. Opened on 25 October 2003 with an exhibition match between Benfica and Uruguayan club Nacional, it replaced the original Estádio da Luz, which had 120,000 seats. The seating capacity was decreased to 65,647 and is currently set at 64,642. The stadium was designed by HOK Sport Venue Event and had a construction cost of €162 million.A UEFA category four stadium and one of the biggest stadiums by capacity in Europe (the biggest in Portugal), Estádio da Luz hosted several matches of the UEFA Euro 2004, including its final, as well as the 2014 and 2020 finals of the UEFA Champions League. It was elected the most beautiful stadium of Europe in a 2014 online poll by L'Équipe. By its fifteenth birthday, Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica Luz had welcomed more than 17 million spectators.

Campo de Benfica was a football grass field in Lisbon, Portugal. After Benfica absorbed Desportos de Benfica on 17 September 1916, it started using as headquarters, the facilities in Avenida Gomes Pereira, in the back there was a football field since 1914 which was used by some clubs in Lisbon which did not have their own, like GS Cruz Quebrada. Benfica celebrated with Empresa dos Melhoramentos de Benfica (EMB) - owner of the land where the field was located - an annual rent deal of 840$00 escudos, paid monthly in advance in the amount of 70$00 escudos. Benfica then left Campo de Sete Rios. Stands with capacity of 10.000 and an additional tennis court were built. On 25 March 1919, Benfica played the first night football game in Portugal, with 1000 candles helped by 18 reflectors. But by 1923, the Municipality of Lisbon wanted to build a road to link Estrada de Benfica to Estrada Nacional, crossing the place where the field was located (the street was only built in 1997, 74 years later). After 1923, Benfica then moved to Estádio do Campo Grande belonging to Sporting CP and Campo de Palhavã of Império Lisboa Clube, until Estádio das Amoreiras, completed in 1925 was finished. Between 1916 and 1923, Benfica played 27 matches, won 11, drew 6 and lost 10, scored 56, conceded 45.

Estádio da Luz (Portuguese pronunciation: [(ɨ)ˈʃtadiu dɐ ˈluʒ], Stadium of Light), officially named Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, was a multi-purpose stadium located in Lisbon, Portugal. It was used mostly for football matches and hosted the home matches of S.L. Benfica and the Portugal national team. The stadium was opened on 1 December 1954 and it was able to hold an official maximum of 120,000 people, making it the largest stadium in Europe and the third largest in the world in terms of capacity. Some of the biggest attendances include a game against FC Porto with 135,000 people, the 1989–90 European Cup semi-final against Olympique de Marseille and the 1991 FIFA World Youth Championship final between Portugal and Brazil with 127,000 people in each game. It also hosted the 1992 European Cup Winners' Cup Final, the second leg of the 1983 UEFA Cup Final, and the 1962 Intercontinental Cup. Its demolition started in 2002 so the new Estádio da Luz could be built near the same area.

The Eusébio Cup is a pre-season friendly football match hosted by Portuguese club S.L. Benfica. It has been played mostly at their home stadium, Estádio da Luz, with the two exceptions being the 2015 and 2018 editions (played at the Estadio BBVA and at the Estádio Algarve, respectively). The two-team competition was inaugurated in 2008 and is named after Portuguese international and former Benfica player Eusébio, who presented the trophy to the winning team until 2013, before his death in January 2014. There were plans to extend the number of participants to four, a move that Eusébio himself was in favor of, but no changes were ever made in that regard. The cup's first edition was won by Inter Milan. The other winners were Benfica (2009, 2011, 2012), Tottenham (2010), São Paulo (2013), Ajax (2014), Monterrey (2015), Torino (2016) – in a match that also served to honor the memory of the Grande Torino team who died in the Superga air disaster – and Lyon (2018). No invited team, also including AC Milan, Arsenal and Real Madrid, has participated in more than one edition. The invitational match has been played in late July and early August, and it was played annually and without interruption until 2016. Despite two tries, there was no edition in 2017. A year later, the Eusébio Cup returned as part of the 2018 International Champions Cup, and has not been played since. In 2021, Benfica stated that the competition "will be held whenever possible, with opponents of international renown".

The Pavilhão da Luz Nº 2 is the second arena of Portuguese multi-sport club S.L. Benfica. It has a full capacity of 1,800 seats and is mainly used by the handball and volleyball departments of the club. Its construction ran at the same time as the adjacent arena, Pavilhão Fidelidade, but it was finished just a couple weeks later. Because the old Pavilhão da Luz was at full capacity with five sports, Benfica planned the new Estádio da Luz with two indoor arenas; the smaller one only hosting two departments. Its differences from the main arena are its roof and its two side stands, who sit fewer people.
