Vienna Biocenter

The Max Perutz Labs Vienna are a molecular biology research centre operated jointly by the University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna located at the Vienna Biocenter. The institute is named after the Viennese-born biochemist and Nobel laureate Max Ferdinand Perutz. On average, the institute hosts 50 independent research groups. Max Perutz Labs scientists participate in the undergraduate curricula for students of the University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna.

The T-Center is an office building in the Sankt Marx section of Landstraße, the 3rd district of Vienna. It was built between the years 2002 and 2004 following the designs of Austrian architect Günther Domenig.

Wien St.Marx, also referred to as Vienna Bio Center/St. Marx, is a railway station serving Landstraße, the third district of Vienna. It was rebuilt in 2002 as part of a project to relocate the Aspangbahn to an underground tunnel.

St. Marx Cemetery (Sankt Marxer Friedhof) is a cemetery in the Landstraße district of Vienna, used from 1784 until 1874. It contains the unmarked grave of the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The Vienna Transport Museum "Remise" (German: Das Verkehrsmuseum Remise), formerly the Viennese Tram Museum, is a museum in Vienna, Austria, run by Wiener Linien and dedicated to public transport. It is the largest tram museum dedicated to the public transit vehicles of a single city. The purpose of the museum is to provide a complete documentation of all historical tram cars and buses that have been used in the city of Vienna over the last 150 years. The museum has one of the most extensive collections of historical vehicles in Europe.

Landstraße (German pronunciation: [ˈlantˌʃtʁaːsə] (listen); Central Bavarian: Laundstrossn) is the 3rd municipal district of Vienna, Austria (German: 3. Bezirk). It is near the center of Vienna and was established in the 19th century. Landstraße is a heavily populated urban area with many workers and residential homes. It has 89,834 inhabitants in an area of 7.42 km2 (2.9 sq miles). It has existed since about 1200 AD. In 1192, the English king Richard the Lionheart was captured in the Erdberg neighbourhood, after the unsuccessful Third Crusade. The name Landstraße means "country road". To tourists, it is mostly known for the 18th-century castle and gardens of Belvedere, the residence of Eugene of Savoy, which today houses the Austrian Gallery. Another residence was built by the Russian envoy to Vienna, Count Razumovsky. A more recent point of interest is the Hundertwasserhaus block of flats (apartment block) designed in a dream-like style by the architect and painter Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Museums in Landstraße include the KunstHausWien ("Vienna art house", also designed by Hundertwasser) and the Museum of Art Fakes. The St. Marx Cemetery in Landstraße contains the grave of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Austrian Chancellor Metternich (1773–1859) once remarked, "The Balkans begin at the Rennweg", which was then a mere road in Landstraße, out of Vienna towards the east.

The National Archives of Austria (German: Österreichisches Staatsarchiv), also known as the Austrian State Archives is the central archive of the republic of Austria, located in Vienna. On the basis of the Austrian Federal Archives Act, it stores the archives of the federal government. The tasks of the Archives are described as follows: recording, taking over, storing, preserving, repairing, organizing, developing, utilizing and making usable federal archive material for research into history and the present, for other research and science, for legislation, jurisdiction, for administration, and the legitimate concerns of citizens. Blocking / Archiving periods of up to 110 years can apply to archive holdings.

Arena is a cultural centre in Vienna, Austria. From its 1970s origins in an abandoned former slaughterhouse used for the Vienna Festival, the Arena grew into a centre for alternative culture. It is located at Baumgasse 80 in the Landstraße district.

Simmering-Graz-Pauker AG (SGP), founded as Simmering-Graz-Pauker AG für Maschinen-, Kessel- und Waggonbau, was an important Austrian machine and engine factory, manufacturing: machinery, boilers and rail vehicles. It was established in 1941 through the merger of Simmering machinery and rolling stock company with the Graz machine and rolling stock company and the Paukerwerkstraße Corporation from Vienna.

Sigmund Freud University (SFU) is a private and for-profit university accredited by the Austrian Accreditation Council in August 2005 located in Vienna, Austria. As a university in the field of Human Sciences, SFU specializes in Psychotherapy Science, Psychology, Medicine (since 2015), and Law (since 2016). Professor Alfred Pritz serves as Director of Sigmund Freud University, and Professor Giselher Guttmann serves as Academic Dean.
