Xavier High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa is the only Catholic high school in the Cedar Rapids metropolitan area. It is affiliated with twelve area Catholic parishes and the Archdiocese of Dubuque. Xavier opened in 1998 after the merger of two previous Catholic high schools, Regis and LaSalle.

Marion is a city in Linn County, Iowa, United States. The population was 26,294 at the 2000 census and was 41,535 in 2020, an increase of 58%. The city is located next to Cedar Rapids and part of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Statistical Area.

KZIA, known as "Z 102.9", is a radio station based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It has a Top 40 (CHR) format entirely staffed with local personalities, including morning DJs Eric Hanson, Clare, and Destiny, known as “The Morning Scramble.” The station's transmitter is located in Hiawatha, Iowa, and its signal reaches most of eastern Iowa, including Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Waterloo, and the Quad Cities area. It also reaches Prairie du Chien, and Platteville, both in Wisconsin.

Seminole Valley Farmstead is a collection of historic farm buildings located in Seminole Valley Park on the west side of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. The historic designation includes the farmhouse (c. 1902–1903), summer kitchen, livestock barn, tool shed, ice house, chicken house, and smokehouse. There is also a small orchard and a garden. The complex is located near a bend in the Cedar River. The farm represents a transitional period between Iowa's austere pioneer farms and the mechanized farms that developed later in the 20th century. The nearby timber was a source of raw materials for the farm, the fertile bottomland on which it is located provided rich soil for grazing and cultivation, and the smokehouse and ice house were used to preserve agricultural products for later consumption. At the same time the barn and the chicken house were more substantial than those from earlier times. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Hanging Bog State Preserve is a 16-acre (6.5 ha) forest that is on the edge of the Cedar River valley in Iowa. It was deeded to The Nature Conservancy in 1968, and it became a state preserve in 1981.The bog has an area that is perennially wet because when water passes through the ground, there is a layer that the water cannot get through, causing the water to surface on a hillside and also form tufa. There are terraces formed by tufa on the lower slopes of the wooded hillsides, which are the namesake of the forest.Skunk cabbage starts to bloom in the forest when there is still snow. There are over 170 species of plants in the forest, as well as 23 species of bryophytes. Spring wildflowers and ferns can be found in the forest. It also contains sugar maple, basswood, and red oak.

The Chain Lakes Bridge is a historic structure located southeast of Palo, Iowa, United States. It carries a pedestrian trail for 370 feet (110 m) over the Cedar River. The Linn County Board of Supervisors began planning for this span in the early 1880s. They appropriated $20,000 for this two-span Pratt through truss The Wrought Iron Bridge Company of Canton, Ohio, which built bridges in the county since 1879, completed this structure in 1884. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. While it was built to carry vehicular traffic, it is now in a nature preserve maintained by the Linn County Conservation Board.

Hiawatha is a city in Linn County, Iowa, United States. It is a suburb located in the northwestern side of Cedar Rapids and is part of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 7,183 in the 2020 census, an increase from 6,480 in 2000.

KDAT (104.5 FM) is a radio station broadcasting an adult contemporary music format. Licensed to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the station serves the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City area. The station is currently owned by Townsquare Media. KDAT's studios are located in the Alliant Energy Building on Second Street SE in Cedar Rapids, and its transmitter is located in Robins. On August 30, 2013, a deal was announced in which Townsquare would acquire 53 Cumulus stations, including KDAT, for $238 million. The deal is part of Cumulus' acquisition of Dial Global; Townsquare and Dial Global are both controlled by Oaktree Capital Management. The sale to Townsquare was completed on November 14, 2013.

Kennedy High School is a public high school located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Kennedy was founded in 1967. The building was dedicated by Senator Edward M. Kennedy, younger brother of the school's namesake President John F. Kennedy. The school's athletic teams are known as the Cougars. It is a part of the Cedar Rapids Community School District. In addition to portions of Cedar Rapids, Kennedy High's boundary includes: Hiawatha, Palo, and most of Robins.

Wickiup Hill is a Native American archeological region near Toddville, in Linn County, Iowa. The area has the Wickiup Hill Outdoor Learning Center which was built where a Meskwaki village once stood. Wickiup Hill has been excavated by archeologists.
