Husborne Crawley railway station

The Marston Vale line is the line between Bletchley and Bedford in England, a surviving remnant of the former Varsity line between Oxford and Cambridge, most of which was closed in the late 1960s. The line is sponsored by the Marston Vale community rail partnership. The line is to be adopted and upgraded as part of East West Rail, a project underway to re-establish the Oxford–Cambridge route. As of November 2023, the rail service is limited and is supplemented by a bus replacement service.

Ridgmont railway station is a small unstaffed railway station that serves the village of Ridgmont in Bedfordshire. The station is about 1 mile (2 km) away from Ridgmont on the other side of the M1 Motorway, (beside Junction 13), Brogborough and Husborne Crawley. It also serves the large Amazon warehouse next door. It is on the Bletchley — Bedford Marston Vale line.

Husborne Crawley is a small village and civil parish in Bedfordshire, England, located close to Junction 13 of the M1 motorway. The village touches the borders of the Woburn Abbey estate on one side, and the village of Aspley Guise on the other. The meaning of the Husborne element of the towns name is "warrior stream" and the Crawley element means "crow clearing". It appears as Hussheburn Crawele, in 1421.

Hulcote is a village and (as Holcot) a former civil parish, now in the parish of Hulcote and Salford, in the Central Bedfordshire district of the ceremonial county of Bedfordshire, England. In 1931 the parish had a population of 39.Historically part of the Manshead hundred, some evidence has been found indicating possible Neolithic, New Stone Age and Roman settlement in the area. Hulcote Mill and Hulcote Manor (now private houses) are both mentioned in the Domesday Book. However, it is known that Hulcote has been consistently occupied since the Dark Ages. Hulcote has a church called St Nicholas. The ecclesiastical parishes of Hulcote and Salford were united in 1750. On 1 April 1933 the civil parish of "Holcot" was abolished and merged with Salford to form "Hulcote and Salford".Today, Hulcote is located directly to the north of the M1 motorway, close to the border of the Milton Keynes borough in Buckinghamshire.

Brogborough is a village and civil parish in the Central Bedfordshire district of Bedfordshire, England, by junction 13 of the M1 motorway. According to the 2001, census it had a population of 343, reducing to 302 at the 2011 Census. The village is about 2.5 miles (4 km) east of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire.

Woburn Safari Park is a safari park located in Woburn, Bedfordshire, England. Visitors to the park can drive through exhibits, which contain species such as southern white rhino, elephants, tigers and black bears. It is part of the estates of the Duke of Bedford that also includes Woburn Abbey and its 3,000-acre (1,200 ha) deer park. The Safari Park itself covers 360 acres (150 ha).Woburn Safari Park is a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA).

Aspley Guise is a village and civil parish in the west of Central Bedfordshire, England. In addition to the village of Aspley Guise itself, the civil parish also includes part of the town of Woburn Sands, the rest of which is in the City of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire. Together with Woburn Sands and Aspley Heath, it forms part of the Milton Keynes urban area. It is centred 6 miles (9.7 km) east southeast of Central Milton Keynes and 1 mile (1.6 km) south of the M1 junction 13. It has its own railway station on the Marston Vale Line, and an historic centre with 29 listed buildings.

Aspley Guise railway station serves the village of Aspley Guise in Bedfordshire, England. It is on the Bletchley – Bedford Marston Vale Line. The station is served by West Midlands Trains local services, operating under the London Northwestern Railway brand. The services operate using Class 230 diesel-electric multiple unit trains which are upcycled London Underground D78 Stock. It is one of the seven stations serving the Milton Keynes urban area, albeit the only one located outside the City of Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire. In 2016/17, the station was the least used in Bedfordshire.

Ridgmont is a small village and civil parish in Bedfordshire, England. It is located beside junction 13 of the M1 motorway, and close to Milton Keynes and Woburn Abbey. The 2001 census states the total population to be 418, reducing to 411 at the 2011 Census.The parish is first mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086, by its original name of Segenhoe, which was approximately 500 yards (metres) south east from where the village now lies. In 1227 the name Rugemund was first recorded, taken from the French 'rouge mont' which means red hill.The modern village lies on top of a greensand ridge at approximately 350 feet (110 m) above sea level. The surrounding valley has underlying 'Upper Jurassic Oxford Clay' which is suitable for making bricks. In 1935 the Ridgmont Brickworks were built by the Ridgmont Fletton Brick Company. By 1979, as part of the London Brick Company, the works had 25 chimneys and was said to be the second-largest brickworks in the world.The large Amazon.co.uk warehouse now occupies the site of the former brickworks, which is situated beside the Ridgmont railway station. November 2006 saw work start on the Ridgmont Bypass, and the £15.5 million project was finished in June 2008. The A507 Ridgmont relief road is designed to carry 80 per cent of heavy traffic away from the neighbouring villages.
