First Johnson County Asylum

The Bowery Street Grocery Store, also known as Helmer's Grocery and as the New Pioneer Food Cooperative, is a historic building located on the east side of Iowa City, Iowa, United States. The building's construction is consistent with those built in the mid-19th century. The single-story wood-frame structure with the false front was a popular commercial style building that was built in Iowa from that time period. Although the exterior structure has not changed significantly since it was first built, the interior has been renovated heavily. The only original interior feature that remains is the shelving against the building's west wall.Beginning about 1897 the city directory lists this location as a meat market and grocery store. It would continue to house that type of business, under a variety of owners or renters until 1975. The New Pioneer Food Co-op was the last grocery to occupy the space, beginning in 1971, until it relocated to a larger facility. At some point it was illegally converted into student housing, which was not permitted due to the building's small square footage. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. As of August, 2023, a coffee shop operates out of the Bowery Street Grocery Store.

Coralville Public School, also known as the Fifth Street School, is a historic building located in Coralville, Iowa, United States. This two-story brick structure replaced Coralville's first school building, which was destroyed in a fire. It housed grades one through eight from 1876 to 1949, and it was the town's only school building during that time. It was closed two years later when Coralville schools became a part of the Iowa City Community School District. After its use as a school it has housed a teen center and then for the storage of school equipment. It has subsequently been converted into a museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. The former school now sits across the street from the historic Coralville Union Ecclesiastical Church and Town Hall (c. 1885), which was moved there in 2014. Both buildings flank the entrance to a mixed use development known as Old Town.There are three cast-iron star clamps in a triangular pattern on the main facade, and three on each side of the structure. Their placement on the building is as much decorative as they are structural.

The University of Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame is a sports history museum located in the Roy G. Karro Building in Iowa City, Iowa, U.S. The museum pays tribute to the most legendary and influential Iowa Hawkeye sports heroes. Opened in October 2002, the building is located at the northwest corner of Melrose Avenue and Mormon Trek Boulevard. As of 2002, it was directed by Dale Arens.

It is an enclave surrounded by Iowa City, located near the campus of the University of Iowa. University Heights is very close to Kinnick Stadium. According to The Gazette (Cedar Rapids), University Heights has a reputation among area motorists as a speed trap.

Duane Banks Field is a baseball stadium in Iowa City, Iowa, United States. It is the home field of the University of Iowa Hawkeyes college baseball team. The stadium holds 3,000 people and opened in 1974. It is named after former Iowa Hawkeyes baseball coach Duane Banks.

Xtream Arena powered by Mediacom is a multipurpose arena in Coralville, Iowa, that opened in September 2020. The main tenants of the arena are the Iowa Hawkeyes volleyball teams and the professional ice hockey team Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL.
