Little Stanney is a suburban village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is located on the Wirral Peninsula between Chester and Ellesmere Port. At the 2011 census the population of the parish was 198.

Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet is an outlet centre in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, England. Located off Junction 10 of the M53, it is the largest outlet centre in the United Kingdom, with 145 stores and the first designer outlet village in Europe, when it opened in March 1995. It is run by McArthurGlen, and has a wide range of outlet stores run by large brands. As factory outlets, the stores primarily offer goods from previous seasons at discounted prices. It is a large local employer, with its own JobCentre Plus and retail training academy. Brands include, Bose, Levi's, Fila, Burberry, The North Face, Fred Perry, Calvin Klein Jeans, Karen Millen, Polo Ralph Lauren, Molton Brown, East, Diesel, Tommy Hilfiger, Warehouse, Whittard of Chelsea, Nike Factory Store, Joules and Henri lloyd. There is a leisure park, the Coliseum, located adjacent to the centre, with more shops, Tenpin bowling alley, a Vue Cinema, Freedome and Paradise Island Adventure Golf. Places to eat across the two sites include Frankie & Benny's, Miller and Carter Grill, Nando's, Chiquito, Prezzo, Harry Ramsden's, Spudulike, TGI Friday's, Giraffe, Pizza Express and Wagamama.

The A5117 is a road in Cheshire, England. It runs between Shotwick (53.2374°N 2.9875°W / 53.2374; -2.9875 (A5117 road (western end))) and Helsby (53.2613°N 2.7814°W / 53.2613; -2.7814 (A5117 road (eastern end))) and connects the A550 at Woodbank to the M56. As such it forms a northerly bypass to Chester and a shorter route between the North West and North Wales than the A55.

Rake Hall is in Rake Lane, Little Stanney, Cheshire, England. It originated as a country house, the home of the Bunbury family (may have been spelled Bunburries), and was later converted into a public house and restaurant. The house was built in the 17th century, and later altered and expanded. The building is constructed in pebbledashed brick with stone dressings on a rendered plinth and slate roofs. It is mainly in two storeys. Most of the windows are casements, with a dormer at the front, and an oriel window in a canted bay at the rear. Rake Hall is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Ellesmere Port ( ELZ-meer) is a port town in the Cheshire West and Chester borough in Cheshire, England. Ellesmere Port is on the south eastern edge of the Wirral Peninsula, 6 miles (9.7 km) north of Chester, on the bank of the Manchester Ship Canal. The town had a population of 61,090 in the 2011 census. Ellesmere Port also forms part of the wider Birkenhead urban area, which had a population of 325,264 in 2011.The town was originally established on the River Mersey at the entrance to the Ellesmere Canal. As well as a service sector economy, it has retained large industries including Stanlow oil refinery, a chemical works and the Vauxhall Motors car factory. There are also a number of tourist attractions including the National Waterways Museum, the Blue Planet Aquarium and Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet.

Ellesmere Port Council Offices is a municipal building in Civic Way in Ellesmere Port, a town in Cheshire, in England. The building served as the headquarters of Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council but is now disused.

Ellesmere Port railway station is located in the town of Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, England. The station was an intermediate through station on the Hooton–Helsby line. Now all passenger services terminate at the station from both directions. It is both a terminus of the Wirral Line, a commuter rail system operated by Merseyrail and of Northern Trains services to Warrington Bank Quay. Departures and arrivals of Merseyrail services are on platform 1 with departures and arrivals to Warrington Bank Quay on platform 2.

Ellesmere Port Church of England College (formerly University Church of England Academy) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. It was formed in 2009 by the merger of Ellesmere Port Specialist School of Performing Arts (located at Woodchurch Lane) and Cheshire Oaks High School (located at Stanney Lane). The school was sponsored by the University of Chester Academies Trust, but transferred to the Frank Field Education Trust in 2019.

Westminster is a suburb of the town of Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, England. It is a ward of the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester. Located to the north of the town centre, Westminster consists of largely early 20th century terraced housing towards the Manchester Ship Canal and post-war properties further inland. The Joseph Groome Towers are three thirteen-storey tower blocks built as public housing in the 1960s.

The Shropshire Union Canal, nicknamed the "Shroppie", is a navigable canal in England. The Llangollen and Montgomery canals are the modern names of branches of the Shropshire Union (SU) system and lie partially in Wales. The canal lies in the counties of Staffordshire, Shropshire and Cheshire in the north-west English Midlands. It links the canal system of the West Midlands, at Wolverhampton, with the River Mersey and Manchester Ship Canal at Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, 66 miles (106 km) distant. The "SU main line" runs southeast from Ellesmere Port on the River Mersey to the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal at Autherley Junction in Wolverhampton. Other links are to the Llangollen Canal (at Hurleston Junction), the Middlewich Branch (at Barbridge Junction), which itself connects via the Wardle Canal with the Trent and Mersey Canal, and the River Dee (in Chester). With two connections to the Trent and Mersey (via the Middlewich Branch and the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal) the SU is part of an important circular and rural holiday route called the Four Counties Ring. The SU main line was the last trunk narrow canal route to be built in England. It was not completed until 1835 and was the last major civil engineering accomplishment of Thomas Telford. The name "Shropshire Union" comes from the amalgamation of the various component companies (Ellesmere Canal, Birmingham and Liverpool Junction Canal, Montgomeryshire Canal) that came together to form the Shropshire Union Railways and Canal Company. The main line between Nantwich and Autherley Junction was almost built as a railway although eventually it was decided to construct it as a waterway.
